I can't get flash videos to work on Daily Show website (using either Safari or Firefox) - latest version of Adobe flash.... can anyone help??
Hi all,
I can't get the Daily Show videos to play (flash) on either Safari or Firefox on either of my macbook pro & macbook air.
I have the latest version of flash, tried reinstalling, restarting, cleaning out the cache but no dice.
Can anyone help me?
Kind regards, Renegade.
Works with no problem on my MacBook Air. Since it is happening on both browsers on both of your computers, have you considered the possibility that it may be something to do with your router?

Ive unistalled and reinstalled versions of adobe flashplayer to fix the problem, cleared computer of cookies, allowed plug ins, and tried various other options to get videos to work. So far it keeps telling me to install latest version of adobe when i already have. how do i fix this????
Try relaunching Safari and/or logging out/into your Mac.
Then browse to this Adobe page to verify you have the latest version of Flash installed -> http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html -
I can't get my video toto work
I can't get my video to work on my iPad.... I have never used it before so today I thought it would be nice to take a video... I did look it up on line but everyone is saying I have to slide the marked video to the middle of the screen, and I have done all that but it still won't work... Thank you
Swipe up or down on the screen - anywhere on the screen - until the word Video appears in yellow type on the right. That indicates that the video mode has been selected. Then tap on the big red dot to start recording, tap the big red button when you are done recording.

In eBay, I was trying to upload pictures when I got this message: "You need the latest version of Adobe Flash Player to use the standard picture uploader.
Download and install the latest version from Adobe before continuing."
In YouTube, when trying to watch a video, I got this message: "You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video."
I have gone through the procedure for downloading and installing the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, but still get the same messages when I reopen Firefox and revisit these sites.
There does not seem to be the same problem with Safari, which runs the latest version of Adobe Flash Player with no trouble.
I am using an iMac running Mac OS X Version 10.6.7.You can find the latest Flash player for Firefox on this page.
For Firefox on 64 bit Windows, you need the 32 bit Flash version version because Firefox is a 32 bit application.

== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened
== I tried to view videos/upload pics to sites requiring the latest version of Adobe FlashI would strongly suggest updating Firefox to 3.6.6 to begin with by following these instructions: [[Updating Firefox]].
Then I would follow these instructions to install flash in Firefox: [[Installing the Flash plugin]] -
I was successfuly running videos on Mozila Fire Fox but from 2/3 days when i click video i am getting message (copied and pasted here)
Flash Player upgrade required
You must download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player to view this content.
Even I hd already installed latest version of Adobe Flash PlayerAdobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.6.1.629 is not Flash.
There are two different versions of Flash, the '''''ActiveX''''' version for IE and the '''Plugin''' version used by most other browsers.
1.Download the Flash Plugin version setup file from here: <br />
[http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. <br />
Save it to your Desktop.<br />
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit <br />
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, <br />
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
4. Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
* On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). <br />
See this: <br />

Latest version of Adobe Flash Player not working in Firefox13
I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox (13.0) and then installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257. Now when I try view on-line video clips the area on the page where the video player would normally display is a "blank" white space.
This occurs on any site where there a video clip or amination
The upgrade of the flash player however works perfectly with Internet Explorer. Please adviseI love Firefox and I've honestly never used any browser for my Internet surfing needs. However, this bug has been a major problem for me and I've temporarily resorted to using a different browser until it's resolved. Hopefully that's soon before I get too attached to my new alternative.

Hi there
No need to get testy. Lilybiri was being spot on with the comparison.
The only solution for you will be to uninstall the Flash player, then locate an older version of the Flash player and install it on the Windows XP you have. Captivate is now at version 8 and several years have passed since version 1.1. You will likely not make 1.1 work with Windows 7 or Windows 8. In fact, the only way I'm aware to remotely make it work on those operating systems is by first ensuring you have the Professional or Ultimate version, then installing the Windows XP mode Virtual Machine.
Here is a link for uninstalling the Flash Player
And here is a link for the older versions
Sorry, but you are on your own to sort exactly how far back you will need to go to find a version of Flash Player that works with this version of Captivate. And keep in mind, that even though you finally get a Flash Player version that allows it to run, you will only be able to run it on some form of Windows XP. It will not run on Windows 7 or 8 unless you install the VM. And when you do that, you will be stuck inside the VM and will not be able to record anything outside it in the 7 or 8 environment.

Please help me get the latest version of adobe flash onto my iPad. Thanks so much
Please help me install the latest version of adobe flash
Onto my iPad. Thanks so muchUnfortunately, you cannot install adobe flash player on your iPad. This is because the iPad was not made to support the flash player software. However, you can try using third party apps to try and play flash videos on your iPad. Check out http://www.ehow.com/info_8163812_ipad-compatible-flash.html for more details.

I have OS X 10.6.8. Despite downloaded latest version of Adobe flash player and VLC 2.0.4 I`m in trouble with `missing plugin` for videos. Any suggestion please?
Uninstall old Flash plugins then reinstall new ...
Uninstall > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important uninstall the old one first.
Then reinstall > http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=JZEFT -
