I Can't Get I-tunes to Open Anymore

I reinstalled a fresh copy of I-tunes, because when I tried to open I-tunes, the hour-glass came on for a few seconds and then nothing. This had gone on for days. Now when I try to open it, the user agreement flashes for a fraction of a second and then turns off and then nothing. I tried disabling my Norton Security but it did not help.
Any suggestions? I hate to think I will never be able to use I-tunes again.

had the sameproblem for about 3 or 4 months and i were ready to chuck my ipod and pc away. So 1 day i decided to take it to the shop i bought it from. The guy there formatted my ipod, which erased all music from it and i though it was the stupidest idea i had ever heard coz it was a problem with itunes. Apparently there was a corrupt file on it, it might be the same for you. Then i went on computer and connected ipod, still no luck. So i deleted itunes and quicktime. Then i reformatted my ipod again , and then installed itunes from the cd that came with the ipod. IT ACTUALLY WORKED, believe me i were shocked but so happy. By the way uninstalling itunes shouldnt affect your music as deleting itunes only deleted the itunes files and not the music. still it would be best to back up. Try adding it to windows media player if you cant be bothered to back it up. Good luck

I still can't get my contacts to open in Numbers like they used to do. I have a group of five addresses in a test folder in Mail called "untitled group." But no amount of pasting, dragging, etc can get them to open up in Numbers. My "real" folder has almost 100 addresses so I can't do it one by one.
Thoughts?

You can place contacts in a table In Numbers by the following methods:
Numbers 2.3:
drag from contacts
Numbers 3.2
copy from contacts, then paste into Numbers
In both cases you need to open System preferences, then select the "Security & Privacy panel and allow Numbers aaccess your contacts information.

Media is only where the user puts it.
Installing iTunes does not and has never caused media to magically appear on the computer.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer (or backup of the old computer) to the new computer.

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

This is entirely my complaint.
I have to sit without useable internet for 5 days when there is no fault, before anyone does anything about it ? BT visit the village to do something for another customer, mess up my perfectly working broadband, and then refuse to do anything about it for 5 days. And I pay full price during that time. Let's just hope they don't come back to do something else within those 5 days !!!
There isn't a fault with the line, it is perfectly stable. I just need somebody to use common sense and set the IP profile back to what it was.
If the system is so clever, it could at least try moving off 135k to 512k say after an hour or so.

The odd thing is that my colleague and me use the same release mountain lion and we received the same email from someone on Outlook2007. He received the mail with the attachment, whilst I saw a "Winmail.dat". It already happened to me on snow-leopard, some month ago. Up til today I don't know what the difference between our machines is.
But it is interesting: the same OS, the same mail-clients (Apple Mail) and still different results.
Note: on my machine it used to work properly. It just suddenly happened that I started to receive winmail.dat files in stead of proper attachments.
When I have more time on hand, I cant try to find out why this happens.

The lack of security updates requires me to update any old OS. Unless you never connect to anything on the Internet with the computer OR you never have anything to protect on your computer running such a computer leaves you open to theft, fraud, etc. The major problem with Mavericks and soon with OS X.X is unfamiliarity. Sure they have features we don’t like. But I bet so did the one you are running, when you upgraded to it.
Having said that I really got miffed when I was required to update my TV to work with digital signals. I have no trouble telling people to upgrade their computer, but ask me to upgrade my TV those were fighting words.

Well, you can go to Window>Welcome and make your change there, but the welcome screen leaves a process always running, so you would do better to go into the Program Files or Program Files (x86) in windows or the applications folder on a mac and find the actual .exe/application for the organizer and make a desktop shortcut/dock icon and use that in the future to launch the organizer, avoiding the welcome screen entirely.

The D3200 requires at least ACR 7.1, which isn't compatible with any version of PSE prior to PSE 11, so no, you can't do this directly in PSE 9.
You could upgrade PSE, use the Nikon software to convert the files and then open the resulting images into PSE for further editing, or download the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your NEFs to DNG files that your version of PSE can understand.
