Hi, when I add a new contact or calendar in my iPhone 3GS it's not transferring it to my iPad2...can you help please?

On the iPad tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Contacts and Calendars off then back on then reset the device.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

How do I get iCloud to share info from my macbook pro to my iMac? I have all the updates on both but I am SO lost!!!

I am having a heck of a time syncing my macbook pro with my iMac. I have all the updates and followed the instructions on apple.com, but there is no communication with either device nor an option that I find to sync them up. When I turn on photo stream on either device, it only selects a few, maybe 1,000 out of the nearly 10,000 photos I have. I try selecting all and then choosing photo stream but with no luck. I know there's a lot of you smart people out there who know what I'm doing wrong. Please help!!!

Also, you need to have activated the computer for use with itunes. Why that's not done when you install is a mystery.
Because you don't need an iTunes account tio use or install iTunes.
You cannot authorize the computer until you have an account because that's what you are authorizing.
Note, you can only have 5 active computers, but you can deactivate all of them.
You can have 5 computers authorized at any one time. You can only select Deauthorize all when you do hae 5 authorized and you can only do it one time per year.
Next, create/update your itunes account.
Again you cannot "activate" (which is authorize) unless you have an iTunes account. So you cannot authorize iTunes and then create an iTunes account.

Can't get iCloud mail on ios devices via wifi

Starting this afternoon, I can't get iCloud email on my wifi iPad. "Cannot get mail the connection to the server failed." Same thing on my iPhone. In order to get iCloud mail on my iPhone, I have to turn off wifi, and turn on Cellular Data.

Same problem on all my devices. No mail. haven’t received mail since this morning. All was working fine before. Deleted acct in mail preferences (lost all info and mailboxes) and still getting ‘The server returned the error: The server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” cannot be contacted on port 993″ also tried 143. Now I’ve lost all mailboxes and access to all iCloud mail data. ? Any ideas what’s up?

How can I get iCloud to accept my working Apple ID and password

My Apple ID and password works for iTunes and App Store. I'm trying to set up iCloud on my iPhone and iPad but i keep getting an error message that reads unsupported ID. Apple ID must be in the form of email address (@me.com). I don't have a MobileMe account. How can I get iCloud to accept my working Apple ID and password?

I've also reset my password to my Apple ID. I still get the Unsupported ID and password.

I'm not entirely sure what you are referring to, there isn't a user manual section in the iPad's Settings app. If you want an iPad then you can either download it from here : http://support.apple.com/manuals/ipad/
Or if you download the iBooks app then there should be a copy in the ibookstore in it

I had to change my email acct and do not have access to the original one my icloud, iTunes,etc have. I changed it and signed out and was able to successfully change to the new email on iTunes and Apple ID. However, I can not get icloud to change over and.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

You need at least 50 MB of free space in order to back up to iCloud. Rather than backing up, have you tried importing the photos to your computer and deleting them from the camera roll as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083?

How can I get iCloud on my iPod Touch?

I have downloaded the new iTunes 10.5 but still can not get iCloud to come up on my iPod Touch nor on iTunes (windows Vista). The website states that it should automatically come up once I plug in my device onto iTunes, but it does not.
I have even tried re-downloading the new iTunes 10.5 but still no luck. What am i missing?
It is not even an option in my "Settings" on the iPod Touch, so it certainly has not downloaded onto the device or iTunes.
I admit I do not know what operating system I have, but my understanding from the site is that one can get iOS5 when you download iTunes 10.5 - is that correct?

If you have a 3rd or 4th gen ipod touch, then you can get ios 5.

I've started using iCloud on my PC to manage my e-mail / calendar / reminders, because Outlook stopped syncing correctly with my iPhone. However, it seems like to the only way I can get iCloud on my PC to update my e-mail is to select the Get Mail icon at the bottom left of the email screen.

The issue here is an expectation the program will or can do something when it is not running. (At least I think that is what your saying.
I leave Thunderbird running for days at a time, as it does not clof up my task bar, simply leaving a rectangle around it's icon on the task bar.
while running like this is puts up new mail notifications a small box in the bottom right of the screen and places an icon in the notification area on the task bar.
What happens to this options I have no idea in Windows 8. I bought it but never installed it because it would not boot to the desktop. But as Windows 8 still has a taskbar, I assume they all do exactly the same things.
