I can't get Itunes to load on my new Samsung Ultrabook?

HI, I have just bought a new Samsung Ultrabook, and was told ITunes would work on this computer. However, when I go to download it (I'm using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 10 or Mozilla Firefox), the pop up window to download never appears - the web page just goes straight to 'thank you for installing itunes'. I have tried allowing all pop ups, I have deactivated other programs including my antivirus, and still it doesn't work. And no it's not in my downloads window...any suggestions?? I'm getting very frustrated!
Thanks
Munchkin

  • I can't get itunes to load on the computer at all! I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing! Why can't I get itunes to open??

I can't get itunes to open from my desktop. When I click on the icon nothing happens. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing. Why isn't itunes working??

On my PC I had a problem where the iTunes store would only display a blank white page, I managed to display my account settings, but nothing for music, etc
I treid this and it has immediately sorted it out...
start>programs>accessories> right click on Command Prompt and run as Administrator
then simply enter 'netsh winsock reset' and return
after restarting the PC and loading up iTunes the store was there fine  ;-)
I posted this on some other threads and it has been successful for the other people that have tried it

  • TS3212 Ihave dnloaded itunes, purchased songs and can't get them to load on my new mini Ipod?

My new Ipod mini won't load songs. They are in my library and loaded on my old ipod but I can't get them loaded on my new mini. Its plugged in and says Connected. I'm not subscribed to the cloud...is that it????

    Thanks Chris CA.
In the Gen 4 they offer "Settings" then "Reset Settings"  Then it asks, "Do you want to reset your iPod?"  I click on "reset" but then nothing resets. :-(  This is what makes me think it might be locked or something....

  • Can't get iTunes to authorize on my new 24" iMac!

I have a load of purchased music which is now useless to me and money down the rat-hole! I have tried all day to get iTunes to authorize my new computer and it sits there with the progress bar animated for over an hour with no progress. Once in awhile I get an alert saying that the network connection has been lost (it hasn't been lost at all!) I can log into the iTunes store, but I still can't get authorization.
    Any solution to this?

  • Can't get itunes to load

I was downloading music into my itunes and realised that it was going into my C drive. I therefore cut all the music folders and pasted them into my D drive, I continued to download music and all was fine. I then closed my computer last night and this morning when I try to open itunes it says 'The folder"iTunes" cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the "music" folder'.
I have since moved all the folders back to C drive and uninstalled and re installed itunes thinking this would help. It hasnt.
In the music folder I have the itunes folder containing itunes library genius.itdb, about itunes and itunes short cut,
I have the itunes library genius.itdb folder which is empty
I have about Itunes short cut and the itunes short cut
    and finally the itunes setup.
I have no idea what to do so please can someone help me please. I have also tried to restore the comp to before I installed itunes but it keeps coming up with an error.
Can someone please either tell me how to get around this or how to delete everything and go back to factory settings as I have nothing important saved on the hard disk.
Thanks to anyone who can help
    Mark

Change Win Explorer to not hide file extensions. Find the file named iTunesLibrary.itl.
For Microsoft Windows XP and 2000 the it is stored in:
    c:\Documents and Settings\[your username]\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
For Microsoft Windows Vista the it is stored in:
    c:\Users\[your username]\Music\iTunes
Press *and hold* the shift key while starting itunes, and browse to that ITL file you found.

  • #%&*@%$*   Can't Get iTunes to Load Up my iPod

Each time I try to transfer a music playlist from the iTunes
platform to my iPod, a few songs go through and then I get an
error message saying "iPod cannot be synced. The required
files cannot be found". This cancels the entire transfer.
    #%*%^#$@& !!! What to do ????

    Is your internet connection good?
Last night I tried to log out, log back in - no joy - then I restarted my MODEM and then things were ok.

  • New computer, can't get iTunes to load music

I've had a variety of problems, and transferred my music from my old computer to my new one (without using my iPod) - just moved the songs and folders. I cannot seem to make iTunes find and import the songs automatically - my only recourse is to "import" one at a time - which is painful for the hundreds of songs i have. Any ideas for me?

the trick was "add folder", and i just picked the highest level folder that had all the albums in it! thanks!

  • I can't get itunes to bring up my new iphone 4 to where I can transfer stuff from my account or even back up the stuff from my 3GS to it. Help please...

I have been trying to sync my new iPhone 4 to my itunes account. I want to transfer stuff from my 3GS to this phone. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have uninstalled itunes and all apple components and reinstalled and no success. It shows the phone sync when itunes comes up and then when I click on the phone on the right side it will just disappear and I want to get to the menu where I can I back up info from 3gs to this new phone.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

I have little idea what this is all about but unless you are sure it is an iTunes question and not anything to do with the receiver you are better off trying to get support for a hardware specific issue on the manufacturer's support services.  You'll get  a lot of people here who know iTunes but you're going to have to be fortunate to get one with that specific model receiver.

  • Can't get X11 to load, hard crashes with Geforce 8200M

I can't get Xwindows to load on a new laptop I recently got. Ubuntu Live 64bit works fine, even can install the NVIDIA drivers and get 3D support on it (tested this before I purchased the laptop). So in Arch Linux (64bit) I downloaded the main NVIDIA driver package, module loads fine. When I try to start Xwindows, I get a "bus error" as regular user. When I try root, my machine crashes hard (can't even toggle CAPS lock). I can't even load Xwindows with the VESA driver, it complains about MTRR not matching correctly.
Specs on the machine can be found here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docu … ct=3860070
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also tried the 190 beta drivers, same problems occur. I can get any log files if needed later, I don't have immediate access to the machine.
    Thank you in advance,

scriptmunkee wrote:Not sure if my issue is the same as yours, but I updated to night and had version 185.18.31-1 installed with kernel 2.6.30.4-1. That combination didn't allow Xorg to start properly. I don't get an error at all. I get a failure or a halt when the Nvidia driver attempts to replace the ACPI hotkey events
Are you able to load it properly using vesa of nv drivers? I can't seem to get mine to load with any driver- it always crashes hard.

  • How can I get iTUNES library to display renamed files and folders (renamed with Windows Explorer)?

How can I get iTunes library to display the new names and organisation of tracks and albums (ie files and folders) that I have renamed and reorganised (using Windows Explorer) having previously imported them using iTunes?
(Even when I relocate "lost" tracks in iTunes (using the drop down menu facility to view in Windows explorer), although iTunes will then play the track, and knows where to find it, it refuses to display the track with its correct (new) name, or show it the correct (new) album.  That means I have lots of things called "Untitled" and "Track 01" etc, all of which have actually been renamed, but iTunes does not seem to have the capability to recognise the changes and update its library listing.  Another example - a Tchaikovsky CD with 3 major works in 13 tracks insists on displaying in iTunes as 13 tracks in one album, despite the fact that I have reorganised the tracks into 3 albums - two being Swan Lake and The Nutcracker - and renamed the individual tracks to a more useable format.)

    Thanks for your replies ckuan
I agree with Tgod that your first solution does not work.  It appears unpredictable whether the old or new file names are listed when you drag the folders into iTunes from Windows Explorer.  The folder structure is completely missing.  I reckon if you have to muck around spending days/weeks/months finding out how to fix links to a secret meta-file (obviously designed by some deep-cover microsoft worm working in the Apple!), then it's pretty obvious that almost any alternate way of doing this would be better.   Bye bye iTunes!!
Incidentally, I tried several other things that (if the software was designed intuitively) should work, but give disastrous results:
    1) when deleting the library listing in iTunes, it gives you two options - one is to remove the listings to the Recycler.  Be aware that IF you select that option, it removes not only your library listing, but also your ACTUAL MUSIC FILES to the Recycler.  Moreover, it does NOT remove the insidious secret meta-file that is what apparently keeps rewriting old names over your carefully renamed file names, and keeps totally ignoring your carefully designed folder (album) structure.  OK - not a complete disaster, as I realised and went hunting through the chaos in the Recycler to recover all my files.  No thanks to the genius who designed this brilliant feature!
    2) after deleting the library listing in iTunes, I attempted to import just the folders that I wanted.  iTunes refused to allow me to do that, and proceeded to try to import every frigging music file it could find on my whole hard drive, in apparently random fashion into the library.  Whoever thought up that doozy either never ever tried to use or market test it, or has modified their mind rather too many times with artificial substances so their brain is like muesli chop suey.
    3) oh why go on, it's too depressing ...

  • HT1386 I have an older iPhone (3gs) and need to upgrade to a newer phone (4S).  I need to get my NOTES, CALENDAR, CONTACTS, PICTURES, etc backed up on iTunes so I can get that data loaded onto the new phone.  But not sure how to do that.

I'm assuming it's trying to tell me I have an older iTunes Library, but don't know that.  Geez, maybe people over 60 shouldn't have iPhones, iTunes just bafles me.

  • Can't get iTunes update(11.0.1) to load, keeps saying bad signiture.

Can't get iTunes update (11.0.1) to load, keeps saying bad signiture.

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?
