Use Disk Utility to repair your startup disk or your disk permissions, or both.
Disconnect all USB and FireWire devices, except for the Apple keyboard and mouse. Remove hardware upgrades from other manufacturers, such as random–access memory (RAM) and Peripheral Component Interconnect cards. Then try restarting your Mac.If this resolves the issue, reconnect one device at a time, restarting your Mac after reconnecting each one, until you determine which device is causing the problem.
Use Apple Diagnostics or Apple Hardware Test. These apps can tell you if hardware you installed, such as additional memory, is incompatible, improperly installed, or defective.Use Apple Diagnostics or Apple Hardware Test

When I click install on and app it constantly says waiting
Internet okay and I can download purchases from iTunes okay
    Please help

These suggestions might be helpful. They have worked for others in the past, but YMMV. Only update one app at a time in the future. Choosing Update All can cause problems, even though it is offered as an option in the Update window.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

You can't install any application which requires iOS 4.3 or newer on a first or second generation iPod touch. If you still have a copy of that application compatible with iOS 3.1.3 or 4.2.1, import it into the iTunes library and sync it.

Authorize the computer in iTunes -- Store>Authorizie this computer.  Transfer the purchases from the iPad into iTunes and then you can sync with iTunes. Read this for instructions on transferring purchases from the iPad into iTunes.
    Transfer purchases.

  • Wife just got the 4s and and i took here 4 every time she gets an app it loads on both phones also here notifications come up on both phones

wife just got the 4s and and i took here 4 every time she gets an app it loads on both phones also here notifications come up on both phones?

No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

I recently purchased a second hand new macbook air, although it was second hand to me the previous owner had never actually turned it on.
Something doesn't make sense here, though I'm not saying the previous owner is lying....
Time to send your serial # to iTS and let them see what's happening here.

  • Apps on ipod touch keep saying waiting

apps on IPod say waiting and wont load

Turn your iDevice off the back on (or you can alternatively reset it)
Make sure you are connected to a wi-fi network
Try and download an app and see if it says 'waiting' (if it does go to step 4)
Go into the App Store app on your iDevice and see if you are currently downloading anything
Then Open up the iTunes app on your iDevice, go to 'More', the 'Downloads' and see if anything is there
If there is download it and if you don't want it you can delete it afterwards (you can't delete it while it is downloading
Go back onto your home screen and your app should be downloading

  • HT1349 For some reason part of the apps on my IPad just say waiting; they were working fine and then just turned dark and say waiting but didn't update when I updated all the apps.  Any suggestions?

For some reason some of my apps suddenly went dark and say waiting.  I tried syncing with the computer and updating all the apps but they stayed dark.  The individual apps in question say they are updated when I looked at them.  Any ideas?  Do I need to just delete them off the IPad and start over?

Hi you guys, four days ago my FT and iMessage worked well on my iPhone 5 IOS6.1.3,but my phone Number did not in the caller ID loop,so I turned both of them off, when I wanted to turn it on again, but failed,I tried so many times, but make no difference,It shows me"waiting for activation".Then I found the solution on internet, and you know there are many possible solutions, just like:
1.change the wifi DNS to 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4.and you must turn your cellular ON.
2.restore the phone setting.Settings>>General>>reset>>all the phone setting.
3.restore the network setting.Setting>>General>>reset>>the network setting.
    3.reset the network.
    4.reset your Date&time.Setting>>Date&Time>>set automaticlly>>ON.
    5.change another network to activate.
6.take out the sim card to activate.
    I did everything,but nothing happend,it still"waiting for activation"
And today afternoon,i try to activate again, when i turn iMessage on,it activate successfully.OMG,it is really amazing.and the same to my Facetime.
I am so exciting and strange how it happen...
I followed all the setting above 1.2.3.4.5.6,the only difference is i turned the "enable 3G" OFF(Settings>>General>>Cellular Data>>Enable 3G>>OFF),but it keep ON before now.
seriously,i am not sure if the "enable 3G"causes this problem, but it really happened to me,so you guys can try if you have the same problem,
hope my answer is helpful for you.

Need to Resume download to complete the ongoing Process.
Last Resort, put the iPhone in DFU mode (Google How to do that). Connect in iTunes. Follow on-screen prompts to Restore. All Data would be lost, if not backed up earlier.
To save the photographs you may have to use third party software. Google is your friend.

  • When an app is downloaded to an IPAD and it says waiting, what does that mean?

When an app is downloaded to an IPAD and below the icon it says waiting, what does that mean?

    Try this.
Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it shouild resume the download.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.
