I can't get my HP Printer to appear in the installation list

I have a HP Photosmart 5520 printer that was, until I moved, working fine wirelessly with my Macbook Pro.
I tried restarting the installation and now, cannot even get my laptop to locate it for the installation. I have tried to do the HP installation download but that can't locate the printer either.
The printer is saying that it is wirelessly connected to my network though?

Hi ALV170991: I understand you are having difficulties connecting to your network since you have moved. Your printer is no longer on your network and you will need to re establish the network connection. Restart printer, mac and router. Restore network defaults on the printer Touch right arrow on display screen of printer Touch Setup(the wrench) press ok Select wireless press ok Arrow through until you see restore network defaults Select restore defaults press ok As this printer is usb setup of wireless you will need to temporarily connect the printer with a usb cord to the mac Open Hdd/applications/Hewlett Packard/ device utility/setup assistant Rerun the setup assistant and configure for your network. It's very difficult to tell what might be going on if you don't give very specific details.
For instance, in many reference databases, full-text articles are not free. You have to pay to view them, either article by article, or by subscription. Your school may have such a subscription, but, if it does, you probably need to access the database through the portal, web site, or facility provided by your school (your school's librarian should be able to help you with that). If you don't, the database has no way of knowing you have a right to view the full text, and may give you just a preview or the article's first page.
Another possibility is that the database provides full-text PDFs in a format not compatible with Quartz, which may be able to render only the first page. But, in such a case, I'd expect Safari to print blank pages. If that's the case, you need to save the PDF on your hard disk and open it with Adobe Reader (Preview wouldn't work).
There are other possibilities, but these two seem to me the most likely.

You should save the PDF on your hard disk from Safari. (I think you should do this anyway, just in case you need to refer to the article again later.) Instead of just clicking the "'full text in pdf' link", press and hold Control, then click. This should give you a contextual menu; if the link points to a PDF file, you should see the commans "Save Linked File to 'Downloads'" and "Save Linked File As…". Use either, save the file, then, in Finder, double-click on it. Preview should open it.
It is possible that the link is not to a PDF file, but to a script which fetches that PDF file for you. In that case, it's pointless to download it. Click on it, and then, if the PDF viewing window opens in Safari, move the cursor towards the centre of the bottom of the window. A bar with commands should appear; one of them will download the file to your Downloads folder.

I agree with what you are saying. He made an assumption without getting all the data.
You can start with this applescript. She could select the mail that was sent and run this applescript and file them in another mailbox for her to later individually file. Maybe that will help organize it better.

When I delete a cookie from the "show cookies" window, how can I get that cookie to automatically go to the exeptions list?

Desired behavior: I used to be able to delete cookies from the "show cookies" window and they would automatically show up in the exceptions list and be blocked in future sessions.

I am going on the guess that an old driver is still installed...
Use Finder Go > go to folder, and go to /Library/Printers and delete the HP folder(s).

Unable to communicate." I worked with the AppleCare guy for a couple of hours. We got it to print via USB but when we switched to ethernet hook up via Time Capsule it won't communicate or install the printer.

You should look for an Epson Stylus Color 740 or the higher-end 900 or 980, which are about 12 years old now. All have USB connectivity, and while the 900/980 is a better/faster printer, it's harder to find the ink tanks for it at the usual office supply stores. Ink tanks for the 740 series seem to be more readily available, without a special order. There were Mac versions of these printers (the 740i and 900i), with blue/ice housings that were color-keyed to match the fruit-colored "blueberry" iMac and Blue & White G3 mini-tower. There was no Epson printer that was color-keyed to the original Bondi Blue iMacs.

Hmm, interesting that sites like airprint activator and others have sprung up to support the what seems like a problem with ipad wireless printing....and reading the many discussions here, it seem there is still a big problem between the devices that everyone has a different take on....I'm just glad I don't HAVE to print from my iPad......cause it ain't happened...
