I can't get my iPhone to backup to the iCloud

My iPhone is saying it cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage. When I go to Manage my stroage, it says I have 4.9 GB available of 5.0 GB on iCloud. Is there a way to get this to work?

If you want to see how big the backup is for your phone go Settings -> iCloud -> Storage & Backup -> Manage storage and up the too it will tell you how large the backup files are for your phone. :)

The sync process for iTunes content is a not a true sync process, and the same for photos transferred from your computer. In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only and photos can be transferred from a single computer. When transferring iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first.

You will need to connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to your computer (that will copy PDFs and epubs that are in the iBooks app, not just actual ibooks), and you can then sync them to your iPhone. Or you might be able to open each PDF in iBooks on your iPad and use the share icon to email them to yourself and then use 'open in' in the Mail app on your iPhone to copy them to its iBooks app (if the PDF is protected then you may not get the email option via the share icon).
The Settings > iBooks > Sync Collections setting doesn't copy items between devices, it just means that it a bookor PDF is on both devices and you move it into a collection on one device then it will be moved into the same collection on the other device

I lose the signal inside buildings and outside of buildings. It happens at work and at home. It happens in Centarl London in the open air and inside. It happens in small towns.. It happens in the countryside. It happens in motor cars. It happens in airports. It happens when the battery is fully charged, when it is half charged and when it's low on charge. It happens using the phone, when reading messages and when using the internet.

My iCloud account is set up with my Apple ID as one email account (for example [email protected]) which is the email account I use to sign up for internet sites like Amazon, Apple,etc, so that I can differentiate vendors/mass emails. But my default calendar on my iPhone is in a different email name (ie [email protected]) which I use for most communications to friends, relatives, etc. and it is this account that holds most of my appointments. To further complicate things I have other email accounts that I use for business/professional and community work. If I want all my calendars to show on my iPhone AND sync to my iCloud, do I set this at the phone level or the iCloud level? or both?
Let me clarify....It looks like if I go into appointments that I previously set up through my personal account (ie above [email protected]) and edit the entry on my iPhone, selecting the iCloud "home" calendar within the entry, it will then sync to my iCloud account, no problem....do I have to do this to EVERY entry I have? or is there a way to name my personal account as one to sync to iCloud?

Guess I understand what is going on as I'm also experiencing the problem.
Basically the issue is about the iPhone 4's personal hotspot.
I'm trying to hook on personal hotspot to my toshiba laptop but it couldnt work as the connection is limited to local only without Internet access.
The hotspot works well on other laptop and I-devices, but not my toshiba...

Can I get my iPhone replaced even if the screen is cracked?

When someone calls, they can't hear but I hear them. They can only hear me when the phone is on speaker or if I have my headphones plugged in. My home button also glitches from time to time, but it's not that big of a deal. And one of the speakers is out. It's been this way for a few months and I've been meaning to call to get it replaced, but now it's cracked. Will they still let me replace it even though the screen is cracked? Or will they say it's broken because I dropped it and wont let me replace it? It's been like that before, I was just being stupid for not getting it replaced sooner. :/
And also, do I have to call Apple or go to the Genius Bar?

How can I get my iphone to update contacts to icloud?

I reset my entire phone (4s) in order to restore mistakenly deleted contacts to the phone. The problem is, every time I do this, I just lose them again because it is synching with iCloud and instead of adding new contacts to the cloud, it's deleting them from my phone! HELP! I am only able to keep them on the phone if I turn off wifi right after I reset the phone and restore to iCloud backup.

logically one would think that would work. It just keeps removing the contacts I restored to my phone instead of saving them to the cloud. Then it synchs to the cloud and removes the contacts. Here is my thought- should I delete all my contacts on the cloud and then wait for it to synch?

Just cloud the sync once, activate the comp to your apple I'd in iTunes, ensure all software is up to date, turn on home sharing between the devices and you can reinstall the apps from the apple id purchase history via download.
You basically cleaned out the canonical data apple uses to validate all that, which was backup data. Like iOS devices have the purchased option on the App Store now, syncing the devices via the home sharing and properly activating them will give your comp the purchased cloud and free up 10gs of space on the precious solid states smaller drives.
