I can't get my password to work

I can't get my password to open on my I phone. my computer asked for a password when I reset my iphone and I put one in but when I tried to open my iphone it would not open. I can get incoming phone calls but am unable to get my phone to open for anything else.

Try restoring your iPhone from a previous backup. If there are none, wipe it and sync with iTunes. Hopefully this fixes that.

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPhone by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.
If you created a new account then you can log out of the old account and in with the new one as above, but any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can re-download its content and download updates to its apps.

If the device had Find My iPhone activated, yes. Otherwise, no, you don't need your Apple ID & Password, just because of iOS 7.
To access iCloud or iTunes, etcetera, yes. But that's no different than in iOS 6.

The Apple ID password does not seem valid for unexplained reasons to update to IOS 7.1.1. I know the password but it won't open.

If you are locked out of your iPad.
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.

6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.

There is something wrong in your settings. As the settings for each email provider are different you need to check your email server's web site for instructions. Most now have specific instructions for the iPhone. Also see Apple's instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1385

There is no password to Thunderbird. The password you need is to the email account. Contact the email provider for password reset.

Can't get Home Sharing to work with ATV, v7.0.3 and iTunes 12.1.0.50

I can't get Home Sharing to work. I'm looking at my MacBook screen and iTunes says Home Sharing is On. On Apple TV, it says Turn On Home Sharing in iTunes. Both are using the same Apple ID and password (signed out and signed back in manually on both). I have tried the following: Signing out of and into Home Sharing on Apple TV and iTunes, closing iTunes and restarting the MacBook, restarting and restoring Apple TV to factory settings, restarting my router, all possible iterations of the aforementioned. Nothing seems to work. Also tried renaming my computer in preferences/sharing.
Any new ideas?

Only have one network; wireless. On it's own, the MacBook can use wifi to surf the net and Apple TV can watch movie previews from Apple via wifi.

i can't get my ichat to work. I made an aol login but it says my password is incorrect, which i know it is not. I have a MobileMe but i can't remember the password to that. Every time I try to change my password it just changes my msn address on apple id. I have ox s lion operating system but, I couln't get the ichat to work before that either. I can use facetime tho.

If you created an AIM Name here then can you now Login Here > https://settings.aim.com/
AIM allow some other characters that alphanumeric ones but these are limited to ! @ # and the . (full stop/dot)
Is it possible that you have used other characters in the password ?
If you created an AOL Login have you used the full name ([email protected]) in the name in iChat ?
AIM never tell you directly that it is the Password.
You can get to infer it is the password when compared to other messages but it does normally refer to "Name or Password". (I just want to check that is what you are seeing)

Checking your Own Computer
Open Keychain Access in the Applications/Utilities folder
Have the Login item to left highlighted
Have the Passwords items listed if using lion lower left
Check the list on the right for your MobileMe name. It may possibly listed with an Cloud icon or the "A" created by ther pen brush and ruler icon.
It may also get listed twice or more if you have tried different passwords and asked for them to be saved.
Double click one.
In the new Panel that open change to the Access tab and check iChat is in the list if using Allow Specific items.
Return to the Attributes tab
Tick the Show Password box (Dialogue biox appears needing your Mac User Password and to Allow Once
If this password is correct then delete any other entries.
If incorrect then check others and edit one if required.
(I am hoping you will see one you recognise)
The iForgot site can be used to change the password.
It requires you have access to the linked email you used.
Or that you remember the security questions that you gave for the MobileMe name.
(Presumably you know your Date of Birth which you also get asked. )

Hi barbma, can you recall if you have ever used the email address in question to register another HP online account e.g. Snapfish? Other users have found this to cause a conflict when they then try and register for an ePrintCenter account. You could try going to the Snapfish login page (this is the US version but you can change country in the top right of the page) and trying to sign in with the email address and the password you use for that address. If that doesn't work try clicking the forgot password link and if the Snapfish service emails you with instructions on resetting your password it will prove that you do have a Snapfish account. Once you've reset the password try using this and the email address to create an ePrint Center account.
Hope this helps you get an ePrintCenter acccount created.

Well did you change the apple id in imessage?
settings - message - add your new id and delete the old id.
Or turn off imessage and then back on to reactivate with your new id.
