Question - I can't get my second e-mail to verify.
Check the sync settings for the email; see if it is set to sync at all, or what the interval is set at. I set mine to every 15 minutes for 30 minutes .... Go to settings > Accounts > Email > Choose the email account and it should have Sync settings where you can set up the schedule.
You also should be able to open the email account, and sync within it manually, regardless of the sync settings.

That eliminates the previous recipients. If you are talking about the suggestions because there are 10 people with the name 'Steve' in your Contacts, then I do not know how to eliminate those unless you change the name slightly or wait until you type the last name or some other differentiator. -

If you migrated your MobileMe account before 1 August you should have signed into System Preferences>iCloud with it, and you would be able to see your calendars, bookmarks and emails on the iCloud website. Is this the case? Did you sign into iCloud with your @me.com address?
If you did not migrate your MobileMe account you can no longer do so.
If you did migrate, did you do so from a full MobileMe account or from a Family Pack sub-account? the latter did not get the complimentary storage (because their iDisks were only 5GB anyway).
If you had a full MobileMe account, check on your Mac - System Preferences>iCloud - and see whether that shows the upgrade. If it doesn't, you probably need to contact Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support (MobileMe Support is no longer available) and you may be asked to pay a fee: in this case you should ask them to deal with it without cost (and hope they agree).
Note that you haven't paid anything for your MobileMe storage since your first renewal date after 6 June 2011, and iCloud costs nothing unless you specifically choose to upgrade the storage. Note also the iCloud storage is not general file storage in the manner of the iDisk but is restricted to iOS device Backup, Mail, Photo Journal and Documents. -

The iPhone is not a backup device.
Restore the iTunes library from the backup that should be kept of your media and other important files.
Syncing the iPhone to a new library (in this case, it will be a new library unless you have a complete backup of the iTunes folder pre-crash) will result in the media on the device being removed and replaced with content from the new library.
As for iOS5, we really do not know until Apple officially releases it. -

If you want a total at any group-level, go to the particular group in the data model, insert a summary column in the group, and select
Reset At > appropriate Group Name
For report level summaries, you must create the summary column outside of all groups.

Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

I can't get mai on the iPad or iphone (and maybe the macbook pro) from Yahoo!. It won't verify the info and has me to authenticate using safari. I hav a PLUS account, have deleted and restarted a new account, but no verif. It used to work, but has quit. Especially worse since running iOS 5. Apple is scheduled for expresslane for 4 - 5 days out. I don't have a current phone number for Yahoo! or I'd be bugging them. It just won't verify even after changing passwords. GMail and iCloud work fin. Any ideas ?

Is your iPad able to access the internet using Safari? If not, I suggest you unplug your WiFi router for a few seconds. Then reset the iPad's network at Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. You will need to reconnect the iPad to WiFi.
If you are able to access the internet, then there may be a glitch in your iPad Mail setup you are overlooking. It could be something like the letter O where a zero should be, a space where none is allowed or a backward slash (\) where a forward slash (/) is required.
One other thing you can try, is to reset (reboot) your iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

Can't get past "Welcome to Mail" screen
I have been trying to set up my Apple Mail account to access my Gmail account but find I can't get past the initial "Welcome to Mail" screen. When I click on the Mail Icon the screen that tells me I have no e-mail account and asks for the basic e-mail account info including the POP and SMTP address. The problem though is all the set up instructions I have require me to go through the "Preferences" from the Mail's pull down menu, but it, along with almost every other command, is greyed out when the "Welcome to Mail" screen is in the forefront.
I've tried filling in the info requested on the "Welcome to Mail" screen with my Gmail account info (and yes, I've set my Gmail account for POP mail) but Apple Mail can't connect to Gmail with the limited info provided.
So the question is how does one get past the "Welcome to Mail" screen to access the Preferences in the Mail program so I can fill in all the necessary information to get the Apple Mail to work?The Account Setup “Assistant” is a pain, indeed. It’s unbelievable how lame that “feature” is. After setting up the first mail account, you can bypass it by holding the Option (Alt) key down when clicking the [+] button in Preferences > Accounts, but it appears to be unavoidable when setting up Mail for the first time. There are two things you can do about it, though:
(1) Let it time-out. It may take a few minutes, but you can do other things with the computer in the meanwhile.
(2) Shut down the Internet connection so that Mail times-out immediately, and go online again when done. -

KeithThere are only two ways to process form data -
1. Use mailto:[email protected] as the action of the form
2. Use a server-side scripting method to a) harvest the
form's data, b)
process it in some manner, e.g., enter it into a database, c)
formulate and
send an email to one or more email recipients, and d)
redirect the visitor
to some ending page
Method 1 is quite simple, and is also the least reliable. It
depends both
on your visitor having an email client already installed on
their computer -
this eliminates public computers, or home users without email
clients
installed (more and more it seems) - and on the installed
email client
responding to
the mailto call. It is not possible to use this method *and*
send the
visitor to a
thank you page as well.
Method 2 is the preferred method, since it eliminates the
problems of method
1, but it means that you have to grapple with
server-scripting somehow (ASP,
CF, PHP, perl, etc.).
You would have to decide which of these methods is best for
your needs,
but if it's Method 2, then start by asking your host what
they provide for
form
processing.

To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud too.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photostream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
You should create new iCloud accounts for the rest of the family so that you can keep your personal data separate, but you must continue to use the account you are using for iTunes in use by all of you, otherwise you will lose access to any content already purchased under that account. -
