I can't get my Verizon Messaging app to work.

It is a Galaxy S3 and it is updated.
I have taken out the SIM card, the battery, restarted multiple times and even tried in Safe Mode. The app has been freezing ever since I updated my phone 2 or 3 weeks ago. It says "Messaging is not responding"

    I received the update to the Verizon Messages app yesterday and when I opened it, it said the smartphone will now send and receive text messages over wifi when the cellular network is not available.  I have been unable to make this work and I contacted Verizon and the tech said that obviously it will not work on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but it said it will work on my device when I look at the app store.  Any ideas?

    Yesterday morning, the icon appeared telling me that Message+ was connected to WIFI, however, all day today, I would have it show that I had messages, I would look on my pulldown and it would show that I had messages, but when I went to the app, the messages had disappeared.  The same thing has been happening with my email.  The native email app would not pull down my mail folders, so I had to load a 3rd party app the does pull them down, but then it loses emails.  This is the 2nd Note 3 I have had.  My original started giving me a black screen when I tried to answer a call and I would have to reboot the phone and call them back.  Now this replacement loses email and messages.  In my business, these are very important.  Not sure what I am going to do, not happy with my choice of phones at this point.  Thank you for offering to look into the problems for me, I appreciate it.

  • Can't get my nokia messaging email to work anymore

    It was working fine then yesterday all of a sudden it quit syncing to my email. I enter password and it  says verifying password please wait.....then it says login unsuccessful please try again.
    Well I have more than one email so I thought I just set up my other one. Then it says unable to connect to server please try again later. I even tried my daughters email like she suggested and it still doesn't work.
    I don't know what happen. It was working fine yesterday and then today it quit working.
    My phone is a nokia 6790

    Anyone have any answers? I just spent an hour or so on the phone with Nokia support with no luck. I don't even think the guy knows what to do. He kept asking me to hit forgot password at email.nokia.com and I kept telling the guy theres no such button. He acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. Then he had me to go into my access point and see if its set up correctly. Well obviously it is cause I can still surf the net on my phone just can't get this darn Nokia messaging to work anymore. Any help will be appreciated.

  • I can't get the Google Search App to work.

    My Google Search App was working fine on my iPad mini. Then I installed Chrome and didn't synch it right off the bat. Chrome works fine but now Google Search App won't let me log in or work. I've tried deleting it/reinstalling it and rebooting my iPad mini. What else should I try?

    Shut down and restart the app...
    - From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
    - Tap and hold any icon until they wiggle
    - Press the red (-) to delete the offending app from this list.
    - Press the home button twice when done.
    - Restart the app

  • How can I get the CC desktop app to work properly?

    I purchased a subscription and now I'm trying to install Adobe CC applications on my computer.
    Unfortunately NOTHING is working the way it should…
    I have tried calling support but they haven't called me back anymore.
    Today I finally managed to get the Creative Cloud Desktop app installed, but it keeps giving me this message:
    "The Creative Cloud installation is no longer functioning, please uninstall and download again from…"
    I think I have tried all suggestions I found; uninstalling the app, repairing disk permissions, shutting down and starting up again, using the cleaner tool, renaming the OOBE folder in my Library… All steps in all order and with a restart and repairing disk permissions in between.
    Also I followed all steps mentioned here: Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
    The only thing I can think of that didn't go as described is the verification of the Cleaner Tool, also no log file is created.
    - When you see the message "Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool completed successfully," click Quit and restart your computer. 
    - In a text editor, such as TextEdit, open /Users/[user name]/Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.log.
    I'm not sure what else there could be, is there anyone that has had similar problems and found a way around it?

    By the way, my MacBook Pro 13" Retina is running OSX 10.9.5 on a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 with 16 GB or RAM. All CS6 apps have been working without many problems…

    Try to follow below steps
    Click on Finder and then hold Command + Shift + G keys on your keypad
    It will open Go to folder window, type  exactly ~/Library and click on Go
    Then open Application Support > Adobe folders
    Trash AAMUpdater and OOBE folders.
    Now click on finder and hold Command + Shift + G keys on your keypad.
    This time type /Library and click on Go.
    Make sure to remove ~ symbol.
    Then open Application Support > Adobe folders.
    Trash AAMUpdater, Adobe Application manager, OOBE folders.
    Now Click on Finder and then hold Command + Shift + U keys on your keypad.
    It will open utilities folder.
    Trash Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Application Manager folders
    Download and Run CC cleaner tool from below link

  • Verizon Message App & Integrated Messaging

    Summary of problem: Have 2 phone lines on account. Both phones have their own separate account login user ID and password. Have 2 separate wireless iPads.
    Several weeks ago I installed the Verizon Message application on my iPad and everything worked great. I am the account holder. I was so happy to find this application. I then tried to install the application on my wife's iPad and encountered problems. Downloaded the app to iPad, put in second phone line number, belonging to wife who is designated Account Manager, requesting text message authentication. Received texted code and entered in the app. Told app to authenticate and log in. App sends authentication then returns an error. 1st Error message says "Error OK" then second message comes up saying "Disconnected - This device has been disconnected from the Integrated Messaging service. D0 you wish to browse your messages offline or erase all messages from the device and reconnect?
    Choices: Browse Offline? Erase & Disconnect? Neither choice gives any result.
    Numerous requests both through voice and text ended up with much trouble shooting and finally a first trouble ticket being initiated. This trouble ticket # unknown was closed with no trouble found. Again after numerous texts, chats, and voice contact, another trouble ticket #removed was issued on 12/21/13.This ticket generated several texts with tech's trying to resolve problem and as far as I know the ticket is still open pending resolution. I have been out of town and not heard anything further regarding the status of this ticket. The problem still exists. Have not been able to contact Verizon through chat or voice as they are always busy lately.
    Additionally, the second phone line is unable to log into the Integrated Messaging web app in My Verizon using its own user ID and PW. I also downloaded the mobile version of this application to the second phone and experienced the same error messages.
    Would like to hear from others who have this problem and any input they may have regarding the issue. I realize that the holidays sidetracked a lot of people, but this is really getting old. Will continue to try to contact tech support.

    We have 3 kids with an ipod touch each.  All are on one apple id (mine, so they have to come to me to authorise purchases) and they complain that they get each others messages, apps etc.  What can I do to set this up differently, so they can each manage their own content etc but not make purchases?

    Go onto all iPods, and turn on "Restrictions" and disable installing apps. The apps do auto download, and the only way around the messages problem is to make 3 Apple IDs. When installing apps, it will ask for a "restrictions" password, and you can enter that.

  • Messages getting reordered in the Verizon Messaging app

    My text messages are getting reordered within the Verizon Messages app.  For example, I'll send a text message, and someone will reply, which will display correctly.  Then when I send another text, the other person's reply will get moved above my original text.  It seems to happen if the texts occur within the same minute.

    Jayohdee, Did deleting the old conversations work for you? This just started happening to me in Verizon Messaging as well, and I noticed that the date of my sent messages AND received messages was off, like yday was the 25th of Dec. My messages back to everyone says 12/12/2014... instead of 13/25/2014... I checked my phone's clock and date and it is all correct, but what you explained above is still happening to my messages.

    Picture messages without a texting plan are 25 cents each.  Better than the $1.99 or $2.99 from the online store....
    Attaching to an email would not work as mobile email does "do" attachments. 
    Sending to your online album will use text messages, I believe.  Better to use a micro SD card, save to the card, and transfer them to your computer that way.

  • Is there a way to send the contact list from my flip phone to the Verizon Messages app on my tablet?

    I have a Convoy flip phone. I recently installed the Verizon Messages app on my iPad Air, since it's a pain in the neck to type texts on the phone. With the app on my tablet, I can easily send (and receive) texts. But is there a way to sync or send the contact list (phone book) from my flip phone to the Verizon Messages app on my tablet?     Thanks for using our forums! While there are ways to get contacts from your phone onto your tablet, the Convoy series of phones is not capable of syncing directly with the Verizon Messages service. It is capable of using the Backup Assistant service. You'll find this option under Contacts in the menu. Once you have backed up the contacts, you can use your online My Verizon account to export contacts to either a Google or iCloud account, which would allow you to access them from your iPad at a later time via sync. Here's a link with some useful information on how to use the Backup Assistant service.

  • Verizon Messages App doesn't display incoming texts

    The VERIZON MESSAGES APP doesn't display all incoming messages.
    This is true for the WEB APP i use on my windows 7 PC
    Iv'e tried multiple browsers and this does not help
    It is also a problem with both my android tablets running the google play app from verizon
    I'm not sure but, it appears that maybe this is related to ATT users.

    This does NOT work on the Galaxy S3.
    Airplane mode ON, Wifi ON, No network mode is available in Airplane mode.  So...only wifi is available.  When I try to send a text with only wifi available I get "Network not available.  The message will be sent when the network is available"
    BUT...On my Galaxy Tab 2 (non-verizon), This DOES work.  On the tab 2 with only wifi available, I CAN send text messages using Verizon Messages.
    So....again...
    On Galaxy Tab 2 with only WiFi available...texting with Verizon messages DOES work.
    On Galaxy S3 with only WiFi available...texting with Verizon messages DOES NOT work.
    Please fix Verizon Messages to work over WiFi using Galaxy S3.

  • Using Verizon Messages app on iPad mini: Accessing Verizon contact list

    I am a dumbphone Verizon user. I have an extensive contact list in my phone. I use the Verizon Backup Assistant to make sure I don't lose it. I frequently use the browser version of Verizon Messages as some of the smartphones send me text messages containing graphics I cannot see on the dumbphone. This has been working great for me. My dumbphone Contacts pull up nicely. I assume this is pulling from the Backup Assistant database (Verizon Cloud?).
    Enter the tablet. I now have an iPad mini. I've installed the Verizon Messages app. The Integrated Messaging is working as expected and I can access messages from all three devices (dumbphone, tablet, PC). However, with the iPad app I am unable to see my Contacts. Is there some form of syncing that I need to initiate between Verizon Messages on the iPad and Verizon Backup Assistant? Does anyone have tips in this area?
    I do not sync any contacts to the iPad Contacts. I have so many different contact lists (Gmail, three personal email accounts,  two work email accounts, dumbphone contacts, ...) that I just wouldn't know where to begin. Plus I like having them segregated because there are SO many different people in these lists. I just want to access my dumbphone contacts with the iPad Verizon Messages app.

    Lets get those text tones customized to just how you want them! It's going to be easy to get them just how you want them. Please open your Phone app, then select a contact from your All Contacts list. Tap Edit at the top right corner, then scroll down to customize the Text Tone. I apologize, but this is available in the native Message app for the iPhone only. Verizon Messages does not support this feature in iPhones at this time.

  • Verizon messages app doesn't work over wifi....

    Hello, all,
    Until recently, I used the verizon messages app to send/receive texts over wifi on my gs3 when I had no cellular/data reception.  Now it will only send/rec when there's cell reception.
    But...the app does still work over wifi onmy galaxy tab 2 7.0.
    Why could this be?  Did a recent app update break txt over wifi for the gs3?
