I can't get past the ipad setup.

So I got an Ipad for Christmas and I can't even get past the Ipad setup! It's all fine choosing my language and Country Or Region, but when it comes to choosing a network, for one I don't have Wifi access, so I try and skip that part to go to the Itunes section, nothing even registers, so I try pressing the square button on the bottom of the Ipad, which then says: "Setup Incomplete", which thereby gives me the option of "Continue", "More Wi-Fi Settings" or "Start Over". I click continue but nothing happens!! I'm stuck on the same screen..Can someone help out please??

You can't setup the iPad the way you are trying to set it up without WiFi.
Connect the iPad to your computer and set up with iTunes. You must be running the latest version of iTunes as well. If you do not have iTunes on your computer, download it here.

If you don't have a computer, you have to use WiFi to set up the iPad, there is no other way.

Can't get past the XP setup screen - help

Hello everyone,
I am trying to install Win XP Pro SP2 on an early 2008 Mac Pro. Ran Boot camp and made a 32GB Windows partition. Put in the Win XP disc. At the blue screen "Welcome to Setup" I am asked 3 choices...to start install (enter), repair (R), or exit (F3)
I have hit the return key, the enter key a million times, but nothing happens!
Just for kicks I tried to select the R key or the F3 key and still nothing happens!
I unplugged all devices except for the wired USB keyboard and the wired mouse and still I cannot select enter!!??!! I've tried plugging them into different USB slots to no avail. Very strange.
Anyone have any solutions?

This was very helpful, just had the same problem. Hope that Apple adds it to the Boot Camp install instructions.... to disconnect the mouse. (They do mention it in troubleshooting, that you may have to move your Mighty Mouse)

I had the same problem and found a bunch of others did, too. Unfortunately all the posts had no responses! Anyway, I previously had my payment method linked to my paypal. I tried changing it to my credit card and it worked. Don't know if there's a bug with using paypal but that seemed to be the culprit for me. Good luck!

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.

5. Release Home button.

6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Yes, you have encountered Activation Lock (Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support). The only way that phone will ever be usable is if the owner the phone is locked to releases it (see: Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account - Apple Support). If you are lucky the phone is locked to the seller, so you can ask them to unlock it. If the seller is merely a middleman and the previous owner is not the seller it gets much more complicated. It's even possible that you bought a stolen phone, in which case you will never be able to use it and you should return it for a refund.

Can't get past the welcome screen

I just purchased this and have been trying to set it up. I have been on the welcome screen for 2 hours now. I can't get past the screen where you check the country. That's it. It's selected but nothing works and the VO hasn't indicated anything other then how to navigate through the table. Once you have highlighted the country you want, why can't I select it and move on??
