I can't get Photoshop CS6 to recognize TWAIN

I've imported and installed the new drivers from Canon and also have downloaded Win_Optional_Plug-Ins.zip. I've moved the Twain_32.8BA file into the Photoshop plug-ins folder, restarted the system, relaunched Photoshop and it still doesn't show when I go to File>Import. What's wrong?

Thanks for the heads up. That is actually really useful to know. I know TWAIN is flaky, and that's why provision to use it was removed a couple of versions ago, but I did use to like working that way. I also have a Vuescan license, but from so many years ago, I doubt Ed would consider it still valid.
Wow! Just checked the site and Ed is claiming 10 million users! He'll own his own desert island, and get to it on his own jet airliner, if that's how many people paid the license fee.

I can't get Photoshop CS6 startup script to works ?

I'm trying to get a script to execute each time photoshop cs6 is started. I've tried to put it in that folder ( Photoshop-CS6-Scripting-Guide.pdf page 10) C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CS6\Adobe Photoshop but it doesn't start ... If I put it in there C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS6\Startup Scripts it loads when I start BridgeCS6 but it fails as it's a script done for photoshop. So I try to put it in C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop CS6\Startup Scripts but didn't work as I was expecting ;o) .
I don' think it matters but my OS is in french but photoshop is in english.
So where is the proper place ?

Yes Startup Scripts is a Bridge thing. If you open Bridge and use menu Edit>Preferences you will see Startup Scripts in the left pane if highlight that the right pane will contain a check box list of startup scripts you can enable.
Photoshop has a script event manager. Script and action can be start automatically when an event occurs. They will not start if a a started event process has not finished nesting will not happen. So on an event like start application, new document, open document a script or action can be set to run.
I never tried setting one up for start application but Photoshop ships with one named clean listener which could be useful. Find it in:
presete\scripys\Event Scripts Only. And menu>File>Scripts>Scripts Event Manager

I've updated everything under the sun. I've tried Basic mode and tried everything else I can think of. Any help would be appreciated!

Can't get Photoshop CS6 onto new device

I recently purchased a Wacom Cintiq Companion tablet, which has the ability to run products such as Photoshop on it. However, I purchased my version of Photoshop CS6 over a year ago, and am now unable to find a download link for it, as my order history will only go up to the previous 30 days. My version of Photoshop is currently only installed on one other device, so I should be able to add in the tablet as well. Any answers as to where I can find my download link or a means of installing Photoshop onto my new tablet?

Not sure what you're asking. If your drivers don't support WIA or Windows' generic drivers don't handle your scanner, then this is completely outside Adobe's sphere of influence. You simply install your hardware vendors's driver (or let Windows search for it automatically) and either it works or it doesn't.

WIN: it should be [osdisk]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS4 -5)\collections
You could try to import them to the same folder for CS6.

Can't get Photoshop CS6 to print quickly.

Since November, CS6 has been taking longer and longer to print simple photos. Today it took over a hour to go from "print" command to final 2 8x10 images. Any ideas? I have reloaded the print driver and CS6 today without sucess.

How can I get photoshop cs2 to recognize me as administrator?

I have a legal version of cs2 that has worked well since I purchased it in 07. Recently it would seem to load fine but quit at the last minute. I have tried running the program as administrator. No luck. I have tried running as administrator through compatability. I have unlocked the special administrator access in vista, uninstalled and reinstalled the program. No luck. All the other programs seem to run fine; it's just photoshop that seems to have locked me out. Please help!

I don't think that you have a PS problem, but a problem with your Vista.
One thing to try is an elevated prompt to make the administrator active - worth a try.
Go >Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command prompt > Right click and select 'Run as administrator'
In the command window type: C:\>net user administrator /active:yes
Go to the CS .exe file and right click, then try 'run as admin'

If you do not own a license for CS5 there is not much you can do to get it thru Adobe. They only sell current versions of their software (CS6 or Creative Cloud). You would need to find a third party vendor and take your chances with them.
