I can't get the music from my computer onto my ipod

Okay well I have a newish computer and i recently downladed a few songs from itunes on my computer.  The thing is, it won't transfer the songs onto my ipod. Online it looks like it's doing so but ig i look under what's on the device or just go look at my music on the ipod, they don't shpw up.  I have like 6 songs I really want to transfer and when I called apple asking for help they sent me instructions that didn't end up helping me at all.  I'm at a loss for wat to do.  I tried backing up the files on my computer and syncing the ipod to the computer multiple times. I've also manually tried selecting and moving over the songs and it just won't.
Any thoughts on what to do or why they won't move over? Thanks

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

  • Can't get the music from Itunes Store to my Ipod

I have just downloaded a couple of songs from Itunes, without any problems. But a problem occurs when i try to get it from my libery to my Ipod, it tells me that i didn't got kopied to my ipod because i do not have permission to play the subject on my computer.
How come ? And how do i fix it ?
It says "Explicit" in front of the songs i just downloaded can this have something to do with the fact that i can't get it to my Ipod ??
    Acer   Windows XP

Did you actually authorize your purchases by playing them for a few seconds on your computer prior to downloading to your iPod? "Explicit" has nothing to do with this issue. A song is flagged that way because of bad language or possibly being sexually explicit.

  • Can't get the music from my iPhone onto my new MacBook Air.

Hi, I just bought a new MacBook Air, but when i plugged my iPhone in, it said it would delete all of my music when i sinced. Does this mean that all of my music will be wiped from my phone or just the songs that weren't bought using my iTunes? I also have a PC with the same songs on it.

    Hi tak661_99m,
It sounds like you want to transfer music from your older iPod shuffle to iTunes and then sync it to the new iPod nano. Take a look at the article below for more information about transfering music from your device to iTunes. The way you transfer the music to the new iPod nano will vary depending on where the music came from and whatever is most convenient for you.

  • HT1848 how can i get the music from itunes on my pc to transfer to my iphone?

how can i get the music from itunes on my pc to transfer to my iphone?

The only supported method to get media onto an iDevice is via iTunes.  Read the User's Guide it will describe how to do this in detail.
iCloud does not put media on the device, but using iTunes Match and iCloud it is possible to have access to all media that exists on your computer, but only when the device has Internet access.  It will not load media onto the device.
Use of 3rd party tools to transfer files to the device is not supported.

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

I have years worth of music on my PC that is about to die.  If I get an iPad is there anyway to get the music from my PC onto the iPad? I have the iCloud but my understanding is only music actually purchased from iTunes lives int he cloud. I have music that was legally purchased and loaded to my iTunes account from cd's that I no longer own.  I need a new laptop and am deciding between the iPad and the Mac book.  I use the computer for music, photos, and web - nothing else and nothing fancy.  I don't know that there is a way to save my huge music library without saving it to an external hard drive and then loading it to a new one (does the iPad have a port to plug an external hard drive into?)

First, you would need to make a backup of the entire iTunes folder on the PC. You could get music to the iPad if the PC was still functioning, or you would have to move the music to another computer. An iPad is not a laptop, and does not have a port to plug an external drive into. You can sync music to the iPad from the computer, but you are correct, unless you get iTunes Match, you would need a computer to copy the music to and then sync to an iPad.

I can't upload the music from my computer to my I touch. But I can upload photos.

iTunes will only copy Apple purchases from your device, it won't copy music bought from other sites or that you've copied from CDs. Have you not got a backup of your content on, for example, an external drive that you can copy onto your new Mac ? That would be the quickest method but homesharing on itunes is also a possibility. Click here to see that:

If not then third party software will be able to copy and paste your files however depending on the file size, they may charge money for their service.
    Hope this helped!
