I can't grab the "handles" to adjust the crop size of info on scanned pages.

When I try to grab the handle it crops it right there. I cannot drag it to the spot I need. This has happened with my Screen shot program as well. I would appreciate any help. Thanks

How can I make the Enter key adjust the exposure, as it should? I have reset the settings to Default in the Develop module but to no avail. Please help! Thanks.

I am not aware that the ENTER key should increase exposure, and it certainly does not increase exposure (or any other slider) on my Lightroom 5.6 (Windows 7)
If you click on the word Exposure, then the + and - keys increases or decrease exposure by 0.1 or -0.1

Can File Based events Handle wildcards in the filename

The question was can file events handle wildcards in the filename? That way, the object scheduled to handle the event can query the file event specifics and process accordingly. The impact is that we will have to create a file event for every event type for every pathway/state. Therefore, in a worst case scenario, if there are 3 event types for every state, i.e., end of day, end of week, and end of month, and there are 50 pathways/states, then there would be 50 *3 or 150 total file events that would have to be entered. If BOE can handle file event wildcarding, then we need only one event.can we do that ???

Can DISABLE preProcess Event Handler add to the Orchestration parameters?

I have a DISABLE pre-process event handler defined on the User object. I need to set the current date on a USR UDF attribute whenever the user is disabled or enabled or created. The CREATE handler works and the date value shows up on the user profile. However, when I try to set this attribute on the pre-process DISABLE or ENABLE event handlers, the new date does not show up. Here is the code I am using in my DISABLE/ENABLE event handler:
Date currentTime = new Date(System.currentTimeMillis());
orchestration.addParameter(USER_STATUS_DATETIME_ATTR_NAME, currentTime);
Where the orchestration object is from the execute() parameter list.
Any ideas as to why this is not working? Is adding to the orchestration not allowed for DISABLE or ENABLE event handlers? I know my handler is getting calls as I am logging the orchestration.getOperation() value.

When you update the field, make sure you are using the field label name, and not the UDF value.

After the Ios 6 update, I have lost my Sound for Music, Tweets. i have restored the phone, tried adjusting the settings, and even have Docked and undocked the Iphone 4S, thinking it might be in Dock mode. Headphones work, Dock plays Sounds. Ideas?

Lost Sound after Ios Upgrade to 6.0.1. All worked before upgrade. Has to be a problem with Software upgrade.

Sound will be heard when Docked or through Headphones. Even Volume Bar doesn't appear either when playing music without Headphones or being docked.
Similar to others, this phone worked 100% prior to the Upgrade to Ios 6.0.1

Do you have the mute switch engaged? It's the little slider over the volume buttons on the side. If you can see orange, it's engaged. Slide it the other way.

Direct selection tool won't show the handles when clicking the path.

When I draw a line, no matter if it's done with pen, pencil or brush tool, and try to select a point with the direct selection tool, it won't make a selection, I can't get the handles activated. They don't show at all. It only shows the line transform handle. This happens only in one certain file. When I open a different file or create a new one, the problem doesn't exist.

It toggles View>Show/Hide Edges.
The key combination Ctrl/Cmd+H is the most vulnerable one, completely surrounded by other key combinations all only waiting to wreck things when you look the other way. Or you may have tried to use one of them, then just (thought you) repeated it when it (seemingly) failed to work the first time.

What is the workaround for adjusting the clip length of a background song?

If you want it to start later, or to get it only on one part of an edit, here's what I do.
I edit most of my video,
then duoplicate it in the main screen.
Delete the parts you don't want music on.
Add the music to the bit you have left (the bit you want music on right).
Export this as an HD video.
Then open the origonal edit in iMovie,
add the exported bit with music in place of the edited stuff in the timeline.
This does lose some quality, as it renders out twice.
But I find this is the only way to control where music goes.
Or you could get Splice and just add and edit music seperatly.

Turning the brightness up as much as possible will help a little. However, as Skydiver notes, screens like those used in tablets and cell phones don't work well in bright sun. That's why I have a Kindle for reading outside. Not to mention, I'd feel a lot less awful if I got sand in a $100 ereader than if I got it in my $700 iPad.

Why can't Premiere CC Handle 1 adjustment layer on my late 2013 macbook pro?

I have a maxed out 15" late 2013 macbook pro with 16GB ram and the NVIDIA GT 750M graphics card + Intel Iris Pro.
I'm editing DSLR footage. When I make an adjustment layer or add a simple color correction, or a LUT through the lumetri effect, the footage plays back at 2 frames per second unless I go through a very slow render every time I add a clip (regardless of whether I select the mercury playback engine in CUDA or OpenCL when creating the project)
I'm pretty sure my sequence settings are correct, I have 13GB of ram going to Premiere CC.
I know that my computer and the software should be faster than this. What am I doing wrong, and what settings do I have wrong? Very frustrating.
Also, no matter what settings I select for my sequences (even the straight up DSLR 1080p presets), when I add a clip in the timeline I have a yellow render bar on top. Shouldn't there be no colored bar if I'm just simply adding a clip with matching properties and sequence settings?
Tell me what I'm doing wrong, guys. Thanks for any advice you can spare.

I accidentally turned off wifi and ran some videos overnight on my mobile and used all of my data allowance on day 3 of the month. I screwed up... I acknowledge that... do I bump my plan up 1gb at a time or wait to the end of the month to adjust the bill.

Personally, I would wait until ~5-7 days before the end of your billing cycle to make the adjustment RETROACTIVE to the beginning of your current billing cycle. That way you can add what you need with a bit extra for the last 5 days. Of course you would want to make another adjustment on the last day of your billing cycle to drop your data allowance back to normal, only have that adjustment made effective on the 1st day of your NEXT billing cycle. You don't want to have to pay for the extra data NEXT month.

Can't adjust the alarm volume

Why is it that the alarm volume does not change if you change the phone volume setting on the 1-30 scale. The alarm volume level is insanely loud, and s always the same whether you phone volume setting is on 1 or 30.
It would be very nice if the volume of the alarm could be changed as well as currently it scares the s..t out of me every morning when it goes off.

Currently there is no way to adjust the volume of the alarm clock sound. Even with GDR2 installed.
All i can suggest is for you to choose an alarm sound that isn't so disturbing.
I do agree though that the ability to adjust the alarm volume should be there along with the ability to have separate volume controls for other aspects of the phone's sound system.

You could have accidentally changed the volume rockers for the notification alerts. You can change this by going to setting<sounds, then under "Ringer and Alerts" there is an option called "change with buttons." Just tern this off and it should work if did happen the way I think it did.
