I can't have sound via iTunesStore plus HDMI why ?

Hi,
I'm new here and i'm french so excuse me for my explanations...
I downloaded iTunes yesterday and i rent a movie yesterday too on iTunesStore. I wished to view my movie without waiting for downloading but when i connect my PC to my TV via HDMI wire i only have image but no sound... i don't understand because when i watch a movie on the internet and when i plug my HDMI wire there's no problem so do you have an idea why ???

Thanks for the opportunity to try to help you resolve your Premiere Elements issue. But first we must establish that you are using Premiere Elements 12. The reason for asking for that confirmation targets the "PE12 CC" that you indicate as your program. There is no Premiere Elements 12 CC" The CC designation, as far as I have ever seen, goes to the Creative Suite products.
Assuming you are using Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit computer....
1. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements 12? Have you updated to 12.1 via the program's Help Menu/Update? Also, check under Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime to verify that you have QuickTime presets.
Let me cut to what I believe the problem to be...I am guessing that you have music files with iTunes origin. Whatever the case
a. Open iTune and go to the Edit Menu/Preferences/General and click on the Import Settings tab there.
b. In the Import Settings dialog that appears, next to "Import Using" set for WAV Encoder. OK out of there.
c. Import your file into iTunes, using File Menu/Add File to Library.
d. In iTune Music, right click the imported file and select "Create WAV Version".
e. Copy the .wav version produced and then paste it to the desktop computer.
f. From the desktop computer, import this .wav file into Premiere Elements 12 Expert workspace, using Add Media/Files and Folders.
Please let us know the outcome. If this an iTunes music issue, please be advised that this situation happens in Premiere Elements (any version). If I have not targeted your question, please supply more details.

Try plugging your earphones in and remove them again. Do that a few times ... Plugin and uplug ... and see if the sound comes back for the speakers.

i would suggest contacting the manufacturer of that device and at the same time, have you tested it out on a different machine? Does it work ?

Can you have sound coming out from both internal speaker and speakers connected to the iMac?

I have a pair of KRK Rokit 5 speakers connected to the headphones jack at the back of the iMac.
I use these for playing good quality sound when I need to record on Garageband.
However they are mains powered and have a switch at the back which is difficult to always turn due to the position of the speakers. At the same time I don't want to have the speakers turned on all the time.
Is there a way to enable the Mac to play sound through its onboard speaker without disconnecting the speakers' cable?
Thsi should be possible, becasue whenever I restart the Mac I can hear it s start up jingle clearly coming out from its onboard speaker, even when the external speakers are plugged in.

Unfortunately the iMac is not designed to offer that setup capability. If you go into your Applications folder>System Preferences>"Sound">here you will find that you can select the device that the iMac's sound output is sent thru (see below)>you will find that you can only select "one" device at a time to receive the audio signal, not multiple devices at once. The "startup chimes" are separate from the normal audio output and Always come from the internal speakers.

Can connect to DB via SQL plus but not Toad!

I have installed: 10GR2 on D drive on XP machine, on C drive i have toad and Dev suite 6i (for connecting to old db's). Now, I can sqlplus from command line no problem, but when I try to connect through toad it says no listener, I also cannot tnsping my 10G db. Any idea's?

which net manager? the 10G home or the Devsuite home?

I can not get sound out of the HDMI output on my mac mini. happened before after unpluging headphone and had to change some hrz number.

I have had this problem before. I just cant remember how I fixed it. I am not getting any sound from the HDMI output. Everything is selected properly and volumes are set correctly. Last time I had to change a megahrz thing and thats where I am stumped.

Do you really think it's not possible to do both and set them up the way that you want them to be set up? You just don't understand how the process works.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the control center if you are running iOS 7. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to control center . Tap on the bell icon and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock can be accessed in the same manner as described above.

5.1 Sound via HDMI in Windows 7

Hi there,
I have a MBPr and have got the sound working via internal speakers and also can get surround sound via the optical connection. I'm trying to get surround sound working via the HDMI port though, but so far have had no luck.
The system reports that there are only 2 channels available via the HDMI. Orginally it had them listed as nvidia HDMI Digital Audio, but after me messing around it's just labeled as generic HDMI Audio.
Has anyone managed to get this working correctly? If so which drivers are needed as Windows just installs the generic ones. I've tried the Cirrus Logic and also the nvidia drivers, but they aren't recognised.
Any help would be appriecated.

I have sound either with my desktop speakers OR my HDTV connected with an HDMI cable

I have a Media center desktop - Model M7330n, product number ERR101AA-ABA. It has onRealtek AC97 audio on-board audio (I think) I just upgraded to a GeForce 210 graphics card in order to be able to connect to my flat screen using an HDMI cable. I am running SP3 of Windows XP , have updated to the latest BIOS, have updated the AC97 drivers. Everything is working except I can either have sound on my desktop speakers by designating the Realtek AC97 as the default audio output or I can have audio on my TV by designating the NVIDIA Hi-def audio as the default device. Is there a way of have both my speakers active and my HDMI audio. I looked through all the post and saw some no sound issues that were not quite the same but none helped my. It is not too onerous to just change the default audio output when I want to watch recorded TV but I think there must be a solution to this. HP tech support says you can only have one active. I was wondering if I could have both active by adding a new sound card. I have PCI slots available.

I have reached the same conclusion in the mean time. I have done a bit of investgation in to other grahics cards and am seeing some that show SPDIF connections from the card to the mother board. I was not familar with SPDIF but it did a little bit of sluething. It is of course a digitally enconded voice. I am guessing that in that case the mother board ( assuming it supports this hardware option) would use this output and be able to translate that digital audio to its other audio outputs. That is a lot of guessing of course. I think my "solution" might be a whole new desktop - a rather drastic course of action! I was in the proceess of getting ready to upgrade this machine anyway with a new graphics card (which I will now return), go to Win 7, and maybe even a new digital TV reciever, and I don't want to throw good money after bad anyway.

HP Pavilion dv6135nr Notebook internal speakers have stopped working. I can hear sounds on headphones but no sound via the internal speakers. A search on HP customer care for my notebook yielded the download recommendation below, even though I had not stated my problem. However, executing this download did NOT resolve the problem. Please advise regarding resolution to inoperable speakers. I do not know if all of my sound and audio settings are correct, but the mute is not on and the volume controls are properly set. The default device is Conexant High Definition Audio output, per the sound and audio devices properties hardware tab the device status states "this device is working properly." Is it possible that a Skype or Foxfire update is in conflict with this device? If so, how do I resolve this situation?

Unfortunately, the drive is pretty much restricted without hacking it. That is, you can't stream its content via standardized protocols like UPnP, SMB, FTP and the like. This makes you won't be able to access its content from any third-party apps otherwise capable of playing back AVI files from UPnP / SMB / FTP / WebDAV etc. sources.
While this is certainly not a recommendation (I can in no way be held responsible if anything goes wrong): you may want to consider extending the capabilities of the drive by installing the hack: http://www.hackseagatesatellite.com/wordpress/welcome/
It'll "open" the drive for third-party, AVI-capable multimedia apps like GoodPlayer, It's Playing etc. to directly play the files over the network.
