I can't hear anything on my new itunes microphones plugged into my toshiba

I can't hear anything why not, I tried all the stuff I thought I needed to try, like going to the sound thing on operating system and taking it off mute, and my diamond is moving, just no sound comes through, it may be a toshiba thing,

Do you mean the headphones are plugged into your toshiba?

  • TS1630 Does anyone else have a problem where you can't hear anything from your headphones when you plug them in and they play from the speakers? I checked the jack and there was nothing in it so I don't know what to do....

I tried to listen to my music from my headphones and when I plugged the headphones into the jack, and pressed play, the music came out through the speakers. I don't know why that happened but I've never been able to get sound through my headphones.

  • All I can see on my Ipod is the itunes app plugged into the usb.  I have reset it and still not working

I am getting a black screen on my ipod touch.  I plug it into the ihome or the computer and all it shows it the round itunes and the usb plug in.  I have tried to reset it by pushing the home button with the on/off button and it will show the apple for just a split second and then go back to the itune/usb screen.   What can I do to fix this.

Connect the iOS device to your computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

And when my friends call me my iPhone didn't show anything even the missed call I'm only know that I missed the call from messages from carrier. Who have this problem??

Apple isnt here. this is a user based forum for technical questions. The solution is to restart, reset, and restore as new which is in the manual after that get it replaced for hard ware failure. if your within your one year warranty its replaced if it is out of the warranty then it is 199$

  • ITunes 7.3.1 - I can't hear anything!

I upgraded to the new version of iTunes the other day and since then, when I've tried to play a song, the counter still goes like the song is playing but I can't hear anything. I can still hear the sound effects on my computer and I tried playing a movie on QuickTime and the sound works on there fine so it must be iTunes.
    Anyone know what's going on?

Some have solved the problem by starting Garage Band.

Is there no sound period? I mean nothing through the headphones or the speaker? If the sound works only through the speaker or just through the headphones the switch inside the headphone port maybe stuck open. Try plugging and unplugging 10 to 12 times to unstick it. If no sound at all, go into Settings>Music>Volume Limit. See if it is turned on, if so check that the limit is not turned down to zero. If still not the problem try a soft reset, press and hold the power and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears, about 15 seconds, then release. if still no joy go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. If still no joy, connect to iTunes via the cable and Restore to backup. If that doesn't work Restore to new. Just remember to save all your stuff that can be wiped before you restore, pictures, music, contacts etc. If none of this works, then maybe a hardware issue contact Apple Genius Bar or store and have your iPod evaluated. Hope this helps, Good luck.

I can't hear anything when making calls no dailing tone or anything but when I try and audioface time it works fine please help

    Hi Nfrith1,
Please take a look at the article referenced below, the same as in my original reply.  The receiver on the iPhone does not have anything to do with the speakers on the bottom of the phone nor your microphone.
    Clear the receiver
The iPhone receiver won't work properly if it's blocked or dirty. Here's where the receiver is:
Follow these steps, testing after each:
Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver, such as a case or film.
If you have a new iPhone, remove the plastic film on the front and back of the device.
Check the receiver opening to see if it's blocked or dirty. If necessary, clean the receiver opening with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush.
While you're on a call, turn on speakerphone. If you still can't hear, then your network or reception could be the issue. Try calling again later or from a different location.
    Restart and update
Restart your iPhone and test again.
If there's still no sound or poor sound quality, update to the latest version of iOS.

Did you use the latest backup after setting it up "as new device"? If yes, try again, this time without using the backup, maybe it contains damaged data causing your problem.
If this does not bring any change, you should get it serviced.

i wish it works for you too..
"All you need to do is to open registry editor by going to
Start menu, Run, typing regedit and then Enter. After that, in the
registry editor, walk yourself through the tree in the left pane,
    till you reach
    My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
    NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32
And then on the right pane, right click and click on New,
select String value, enter "wavemapper" (without quots of course),
    ENTER, type "msacm32.drv", ENTER.
Close the editor. No need to restart. Video on Google and
YouTube et al would work fine now."

  • I can't hear anything during a phone call

This just randomly started up this morning, and the nearest Apple store is 2 hours away, so I'm turning here. I have an iPhone 4 (not the S) and the newest IOS. When someone calls me, my phone rings like normal, but when I answer, I can't hear them at all. I can make phone calls, but when I do, I can't hear the phone ringing before the person answers, and I still can't hear anything on the other line. I only know that the call went through because the screen says a call is in progress, and the people I've tested it on can hear me just fine.
I've tried resetting my phone to factory settings, and I've turned it off and on multiple times. I don't know what else I can do. My phone is in good shape: a hairline crack in the screen, but it's just cosmetic. Nothing else is wrong. I hear all the alerts and everything else I'm supposed to hear, and I was able to have normal conversations as of last night. I dropped my phone early this morning from about 3 feet off the ground, but it's in an Otterbox and well protected. I am somewhat panicking that I can't talk to people, and I'm not eligible for an upgrade until July. Also, I did not purchase the extended Applecare plan.
If someone could please help, I would really appreciate it. I'm planning on taking it to Best Buy once they open. I don't know if they can do anything, but I'm stuck.

    One more thing:
I suspect that this problem is not related to the “headphones mode problem” because I have no problems with the laudspeaker.
    Maybe an HW issue?
