I can't hear sounds from my ipad speaker

I just bought Ipad mini last 2 weeks....since I have bought ...I can not hear sounds from speaker.
It always shows "headphone" mode....Why?
Technician tried to restore but not work....What is your suggestion?

Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.

When the installation has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices. Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.

I cant hear sounds from my iPAD, but i can hear sounds from headset.

I tried reset and restart. It worked for a few times, but is is not working now. Any suggestion?

Thanks, the bluetooth was off. I am now relying on headset now. I am using skype and i am able to turn on the iPAD speaker with control bar, but i am not able to turn it on Safari. Now that i am sure it is not hardware failure, it is software conflict, just don't know how to adjust it correctly. I will go to Apple Store to bug some of sales now.

TS2771 I can only hear sounds from my ipod touch with headphones plugged in.

I am only able to hear any sounds/music from my iTouch with the headphones plugged in to it. I have the change with buttons selected to "on". Am I missing something else?

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

HT4061 My screen will not turn on at all. But i can still hear sounds from when i would hit the home button. How could i get my iPhone to turn on?

The screen to my phone will not turn on at all. I could hear the sound it makes when I do press on the home button. But the screen is not and will not respond and turn on. I plugged it in the charger to see if it'll do anything, but that didnt do anything. So I plugged it in the charger to my computer and even that didnt help with the situation. Can't Hear Sound From Flash

I go to sites such as youtube or any other video place and the video plays but their is no sound. I went through all the troubleshooting that Adobe had and I still have the problem. My sound works fine in IE though, just not Firefox and also flash player crashes. Not too sure what to do.

My nephew can only hear sound from one ear of his headphones.
1) he's not becoming deaf and we've tried multiple pairs of headphones that give the SAME result.
2) the volume settings are correct, so its not that.
What are the options here? Is there a known fix? If its a hardware issue, can Apple do anything (free under warranty or repair with charge)?

Can't hear voice from my Macbook

Well, first, I can't hear sound from my Output (only from headphones), I already tried to insert the headphone 20 times, reboot, reboot audio files, put something into the headphone plug. Nothing worked
And now, even on my headphone, audio is not coming right. I CAN'T HEAR VOICES!
On a music for exemple, I can hear all the Instrumental, but not the Vocal =O
Someone knows how to make it work right?

If a restart doesn't work...
Try using one of the following methods:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the left mouse button until the disc ejects.
If none of the above work, then launch terminal (in your Utilities folder, /Applications/Utilities) and type (or paste):/usr/bin/drutil eject
IF 2 DOESN'T WORK, boot into Single-user Mode and type the same command as used above. Then, type/pasterestart
in the prompt.

Yes, you can. You can configure the Side Switch (above the volume button) either as Mute switch or Rotation lock.
Settings > General > Use Side Switch to: choose what you like the Side Switch to function as.
