I can't import Seamonkey bookmarks because the only option shown on the "Import" screen in Firefox is for Internet Explorer.
On my XP computer the "import" option screen shows both IE and Netscape/Mozilla as choices; on this Windows 7 machine the only option is IE. Re-start doesn't help, and the installation of Firefox went smoothly.
You can export the bookmarks in SeaMonkey to an HTML file and import that file in Firefox.<br />
Which SeaMonkey version are you referring to?

I have done this but now the restore function is asking for yet another file, which i assume to be the original back up, but that is the only .tly file since the only other relevant file appears to be called catalog.buc but that is just not visible when using the restore function? A backup (full or incremental) is a folder, not a file. It contains renamed pictures file copies as well a copies of the files and subfolders of the original catalog. The catalog.buc is a renamed copy of the database of your original catalog while the backup.tly. That backup.tly file contains the information to restore the renamed pictures where you decide, the original location or a new custom one. You can't do anything with the backup yourself, only the restore process can do the job if it finds the backup.tly file. In the case of an incremental backup, you have to tell the restore process where to find the incremental backup folder; it finds the backup.tly file in that folder and finds what is to restore there; then it asks you for the previous backup folder (in your case the full backup); you then browse to that full backup folder so that the restore process can find find the backup.tly there; the restore then deals with the rest of the files to restore. -
It is important to me to be able to find messages that I have sent TO a person as well as messages I have RECEIVED from that person. I used to be able to do that but now, for some unknown reason, whenever I do a search on an email address the only messages that are displayed are the ones I have SENT to an email address. What can I do make sure it does what it used to do i.e. display ALL messages to and from an email address ?
Deleting the file with Thunderbird closed just causes it to be recreated and a fresh index of your mail to be created when Thunderbird starts. You may find it is a huge file, mine is over a gigabyte and occasionally they just get out of sync with reality. Also I just though of this, right click your sent folder/s and check the "include this folder in global search results" is ticked.
Just FYI... Many people coming here call quick filter search, and for your future confusion on why there is more than one search. Ctrl + Shift + F opens a bona fide search and is the way to create saved search's that appear as folder on the left tree. Something the global search can not do. -

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.

Your question does not make much sense. iCloud syncs Safari's bookmarks between devices. If you delete a web site's bookmark from one device it will be removed from all other devices setup to sync to your iCloud account. If this is a bookmark to other websites you have an account with such as Amazon or other sites you are only removing the bookmark to that site, you would have to log into that website to remove thae account related to that site.

I have adobe illustrator CS5. When I save a document as a pdf and open it again later to edit Adobe reader can't read the whole document because it only shows part of the document. It is very frustrating. How can I fix this?

External drives are not offiially supported and the source of errors of all kinds including complete loss of files.

I just purchased an iPad air, everything is working properly except my bookmarks. They transferred but my only option is to add. In other words I can see my old bookmarks but when I press on one the only option I get is add. Can somebody help me.
Safari: The bookmarks are under the little book icon left of the + icon.

for some reason the only photos that do the random scrolling are photos in the events section of iphoto. is it possible to include the albums from iphoto to scroll as well. the know the albums have synced because i can view them in slideshow pls help

I assume you are referring to the screensaver. You can change the photos used by the screensaver in the screensaver settings. Note if you have a large number of photos in the collection you choose for screensaver, not all of them will be used due to the limited storage available to the Apple TV. -
My safari app won't open itunes apps page & the apple apps which are already downlaoded on the iPhone 4iOS when I purchased it have disappeared and can't download them again because safari msgs pop up reading "the site addy is incorrect!" please help

I can no longer (since upgrading to the latest firefox) open up multiple tabs of the same page (something I need to be able to do when emailing and referencing multiple emails while writing one email). The only option it gives me is to 'switch to tab'.I'll try to make this clear. I USED to be able to left click on a hyper link and the hyper link would open in a NEW tab. Now for some unknown reason the hyper link by default opens in the same tab (window). I have to right click the hyper link in order for it to open in a NEW tab. (Yes, my 'tools'> 'options'> 'tabs' are set to "open new windows in a new tab." (Please no answers telling me to get rid of the Ask toolbar because I don't have one.) Thank you.

Didn't the link to contact the iTunes Store staff in the 'Additional Information' section of that article work for you? If you don't already have a valid rescue email address, only Apple itself can reset the questions.

Basic AirPlay: Assuming both devices are on the same network and that AirPlay is not turned off on the Apple TV, then simply tap on the screen when you are watching content you wish to stream to your Apple TV, then tap the airplay icon that appears in the control bar, choose the Apple TV from the menu that appears.
Mirroring: When displaying the content you wish to mirror on the iPad 2 (or better), iPad Mini, iPhone 4S (or better), double tap the home button (quickly) and swipe the bottom row of apps to the right to reveal the playback controls, tap the AirPlay icon and select your Apple TV from the list of available devices.
