I can't insert images anymore. Why?

Hi,
I've been building web pages just fine inserting my images by clicking Insert and then Image. I did some messing around in the accessibility pane and I thought I only updated it to prompt me if I wanted to change all links internally (and some other stuff) but now I can't insert images this way. The only way I can is if I go over to the image list on the local files list and drag it over and that's a pain and really inefficient for me.
What happens when I DO click the Insert button, then the image button is that I get a box that says Image Accessibility Attributes and when I try to select an image I get a grey box.
Another weird thing that is happening is that I can't create a link by highlighting the text and then clicking Hyperlink from the right hand side under Common Inserts.
I just got a new keyboard yesterday, the kind that plugs into my laptop. Could this be causing my problem too perhaps? Help!

Ok, I just figured it out. What I did when I was editing my preferences was accidentally uncheck the"show dialog box when inserting objects" box and that caused the problem. The way to solve it is to either check the box again or to hit Ctrl-click when trying to insert an image on a Windows computer or Command-click on a Mac. This resolved the hyperlink problem as well. The problem was that I was getting a # sign and the text would disappear. Hope this helps somebody else.

Since installing Firefox 3.6.9, can't insert images into my email.

Last Thursday, Firefox updated my system to 3.6.9. My email goes through Network Solutions. Now I cannot insert an image into the body of my email. I can still attach an image file to the email, but not make it show up in the body of the text.

Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.
If it fails regardless, you can try changing the user agent like this:

Help ! Can't align images anymore

Something strange happened. I just opened a document which I created yesterday and I wanted to align an image. But this doesn't work anymore. When I select the image I can press the align-icons, but nothing happens. When I create a new document and copy the image into that document I can't align it either. Anybody who can help me?

As Peter says, the behavior you describe indicates that "Align to Selection" is selected in the Align To: option of the Align panel. To accomplish what you're attempting, select "Align to Page."

App store demands credit card information now, so i can't get updates anymore, why is that?

I bought an iPad from Apple using my credit card, the App Store on my phone seems to have noticed the purchase and is demanding I give it my credit card info too so I can continue making easy purchases there too, problem is that I don't want to make purchases from App Store yet, but now I can't get updates for the apps that I am using. How can I get updates without giving up my credit card?

I was asking why you changed your Apple ID to see if you really needed to, it sounds as though you may not have needed to.
You can change your personal email you use with your Apple ID, but you can't change your iCloud address. If you do this you can continue to use your old Apple ID and without causing problems with purchased content.

Do you mean that it crashes or freezes when you try to open it or that it's greyed out and protected ? If it rashes or freezes then have you tried closing the Settings app completely and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Settings 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Settings app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If it's greyed out/protected then check that Settins > General > Restrictions > Accounts isn't set to Don't Allow Changes

If you read the book that came with your scanner it will talk about outlook a lot and not mention other mail clients at all. What the button should say is scan to Microsot Outlook and then people would stop posting basically this same question to forums.
The manufacturer, intends scan to mail to work with Outlook and nothing else usually. Just as I have a phone sync program here from Samsung that also only works with Microsoft software. Vendor lock in is the name of the game.

You can place a PDF as an image in InDesign, then add more content and export a new PDF.
There are also commercial plugins available that will allow you to open a PDF as editable objects in InDesign.

Problem inserting images Dreamweaver CS3

Hi, I have Dreamweaver CS3 and Dreamweaver MX 2004 loaded on
the same machine, iMac G5. My OS is 10.4.10 Tiger and all updates
are current. No particular reason, just never got around to
uninstalling the latter. Here's the problem in CS3, but not MX
2004. I can't insert images into my HTML page by any of the
following methods: insert menu at the top of the screen, or click
and drag the file. Copy and pasting the code from another page
won't even work. The only way it works is by typing in the raw code
into code view. I get a strange warning when I try to copy and
paste: something like Java script error. I thoroughly checked my
mark-up and there's no a single speck of Java Script anywhere. I've
also get other strange warnings while trying to put in images:
floating bugs.html, margin bugs.html, and others (sorry this is not
verbatum, but you get the idea). I've tried shutting dowm the
computer and rebooting, but that didn't help either. When I
switching over to MX 2004, same files, I was able to insert images
in all of the various ways mentioned above. So I'm thinking, maybe
I should uninstall Dreamweaver CS3, and reinstall from disk. So, I
did the uninstall, and emptied my trash, but haven't reinstalled
yet. Thought that I should run this by the forum first. thanks for
any help. Yesterday I got multiple sudden unexpected "quits" while
using both versions, losing unsaved work. thanks for any
suggestions, Deborah North

Why does 'insert image' not work?

If I use Insert Image, the image appears on the email, but is not sent to the recipient. Why?
Whats the point of it if it appears to work but doesn't?

Never is more the point. It never works on the internet, every browser and mail client renders fonts and forms and images differently. That is why most web sites use the browser string to choose which version of the site to offer up.
Change printers in a word processor and see WYSIWG change. Field questions from users who have suddenly manager to get their document on a 30 degree slant because their document formatting resembles a typewriter.

Depends, remote images in email are a perfect example of it. Many of today's emails would not be sent due to their size if the images were not remote, and how to marketers get to know who you are unless there are remote images so they can track you.
In a corporate environment there are places where you would be sacked for actually attaching documents to an email. A link to them on the server maintains the companies control of their intellectual property. Placing it in an email obviates all of that.
So get used to the fact that email is not WYSIWYG. It does not even use the same fonts you do, unless by happen-chance the recipient also has the same ones.
What does the message source say about the IMG tag for the image.

How can I insert an image at the original resolution into a PDF using Acrobat Pro XI

Got an image created in Photoshop at 300DPI 2480 pixels wide by xx high. Saved as a TIFF.
When I insert that image in my PDF (A4 210mm x 297mm) using Acrobat Pro XI via "Content Editing->Add Image" it appears smaller than the page width of the PDF, and I must manually resize the inserted image by dragging with my mouse.
Documentation says the image is inserted at the original image resolution, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
Also tried creating another image in Photoshop using 210mm width @ 300 DPI (instead of 2480 pixels @ 300DPI), got the same results.
Can anyone help? Cheers.
