I can't install AAM

A month ago, everytime I started my computer I had to install AAM before starting any of my Adobe products. Now when I try to do that, It doesn't do anything but give me the "Installer Failed to  initialize" error. I tried many solutions but none helped. My system is Windows 8 36bit. Intel i7 if it helps.

Crazypilot please utilize the steps listed in Error "Failed to Install" Creative Cloud Desktop application - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/failed-install-creative-cloud-desktop.html to reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

What if I have problems downloading my software?
Visit the Adobe Store download forum, where you can find information about typical software download issues.
    so here I am again!
This was not a general question, it a specific one: AAM is not working by now.
6hrs ago MacBookPro with Lion OS: AAM stoped downloading (after installing 2 app Acrobat and PS6) other apps. I was in office (on its internet connection).
Back home (another internet connection) it was sill not working. I tried on the PC (win7 64bit) and I couldn't either install AAM (download didn't start)
    Maybe the server was down.
1 hrs ago it begun working both on PC and MAC, but just the list of apps.
    I couldn't  download any app.
Now AAM doesn't start again (both on PC and MAC): Download Problem Error 403 Contact support
    MESSAGE UPDATE
After 8 hrs everything is working: I think it was just something like a server was down....

  • Can't Install Creative Cloud Desktop on Mac OS X 10.7.5

If I try to install it on my default user, I get an error 13.  Specifically:
"cookies dir: cannot make folder / cookies: permission denied (error 13)"
If I try to install it on my Administrator user, I get an error A12E6 that says there's a problem with the installation.
I tried the solutions for both errors.  For the error 13, I ran terminal and did the following solution as posted in another thread by a staff member:
    chmod -N ~/library
chmod +a "everyone deny delete" ~/library
    Did nothing.
Then I tried popping over to my administrator account, and I did the following solution as posted in another thread:
    For MAC
Step 1: Go to /Application/Utilities (Rename Adobe Application Manager to Adobe Application Manager_old)
Step 2: Click on Go (Finder Menu)-> Go to folder-> ~/Library (Which is user Library)
In User Library go to -> Application Support -> Adobe and Rename OOBE to OOBE_old
After rename the above mentioned folders download the updated version of AAM from : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
After installing AAM try to sign in it should work now.
This also did nothing.  What can I do to get this thing working?
    I'm running a Power Mac on OS X 10.7.5.

SamReveley279 can you please post a screen shot of the Error 13 which you are experiencing?
It does sound like from your description that you are facing a multitude of network failures.  To confirm you tried the steps listed in "Unknown Server Error" when you attempt to log in to Adobe Creative Cloud - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/unknown-server-error-launching-cc.html.  Please be aware that this issue was suppose to be resolved in later versions.  Often when Users experience this error, with the current version, it is because of a communication failure.
I would also recommend reviewing Sign in or activation errors | CS6, CS5.5 Subscriptions, CS6 Perpetual - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html.  Although the fact that you are able to initiate the download more points to a problem with the stability of the connection rather than the ability to connect.

  • Can't install software on my Mac OS X 10.9.4

    Hello everyone,
I seem to have a problem installing new software... For some reason I can't install anything, the installer opens and I follow every step, but in the installation step, the bar just keeps moving but never actually moves as in completing the bar... I tried update from the app store and I can't, I press on update and it stays selected but nothing happens... I tried manually install 10.9.5, no luck, I tried with other softwares like, Teamviewer (which i really need to install), and Java.. but all is the same in all of them.
Can someone please help me? I need my computer for school and work and this can't happen ... :s
I'll be happy to send anyone images of the problem if I wasn't as clear as I wanted to be lol
English is not my main language
    Thanks in advance,

  • Can't install Encore in CC

I know this is my fault, but can't figure out how to fix it.
I was using CS6 bought on cd but needed CC to edit Sony F55 footage. I uninstalled CS6 through Win7 control panel and now when I try to install Encore as described in Adobe instructions for CC users it asks for my serial number. I assume it's looking for my CS6 disc s/n but I moved that software to another computer and don't want to screw up that install.
How can I install Encore now? The CC application says PP is up to date so it won't let me do it.

  • Can't install Acrobat

I have installed all the CC programs on my Mac (OS 10.10.2) but I can't install Adobe Acrobat.

I'm trying to install Creative Cloud onto a secondary computer? I have logged in but cannot see the Adobe Application Manager to install it? When I click on 'download' on any of the apps, it says it can't open?

You can manually install the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) by going to this page http://www.adobe.com/downloads/. Scroll down to the bottom and on the left under Other Downloads you will see both Mac and Win links for AAM.
After installing AAM you clicking on the Download links on the Creative Cloud Apps page at https://creative.adobe.com/apps should work.

  • Administrator priveleges required to install AAM. I have 'em. Still doesn't work.

I'm trying to install AAM on my Windows XP machine. I've run the adobe cleaner tool just in case i've got some kind of code left over from earlier trials. I've tried creating a new admin account to install it. Still doesn't work. I found a link on this forum to an alternative AAM link, but that one runs all the way through the download and install and then tells me that AAM is corrupted. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Andrea,
Did you use the current version of AAM to install from the below URL?:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
If you still face the same issue, then uninstall completely and install the trial version of the product that you are looking for and activate using your Adobe ID and password if you are using Creative Cloud. You can find the trial versions from the below URL:
