I can't install CC after a PC System Restore

I am running a PC – Windows 8.1
On Monday September 29th I purchased a 1-year subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud for Photographers. I successfully made a debit card payment and successfully installed the Adobe Creative Cloud for Desktop App then installed Photoshop CC and Bridge CC from the app.  The programs worked properly!
The following morning I was surfing the Web and became infected by RansomeWare.  In order to get rid of the infection I performed a System Restore.
I have made many attempts and spent hours trying to re-install the Creative Cloud Desktop,  and this is what happens when I try to do it:-
On my PC desktop I double-click the
         CreativeCloudSet-Up file
User Account Control box appears
To which I respond  YES
A small box then appears which says
Initialising Installer
Downloading Creative Cloud Desktop
Launching Creative Cloud Desktop
The small box disappears and I am returned to my PC’s Desktop.
There is no trace of the Creative Cloud Desktop app on my PC, but I found Photoshop CC files on my computer’s C-Drive and I wondered if they might remain from my first download on Monday, or whether they had just been downloaded by the CreativeCloudSet-Up file.
In the ”Add / remove programs” on my PC there are no entries for anything to do with Adobe Creative Cloud.
I am visually impaired but have sufficient sight to be able to use computers and programs.  I do find searching forums quite tricky.
Your help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
David

Uninstall... run the Cleaner... Restart your computer... Reinstall
-http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html (and uninstall)
-using the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling will usually help
-http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
Then do a fresh install... HOWEVER... have you run a malware cleaner to be sure your system restore removed all of the virus?

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

  • Can't install flash after full uninstall

    Hello,
Here is my issue: I installed flash debugger some days ago and I wanted to remove it today. I haven't found any method to do that, so I decided to uninstall the flash player and install it again.
I ran the uninstaller from the adobe flash site but that didn't do anything. I made a PC restart run the uninstaller again then deleted all the flash folders in appdata, system32 and sysWOW64. I had to use unlocker program to delete files in system32 and sysWOW64. After all this I restarted my PC and wanted to install the latest update which resulted in an error message that said this update Windows8-RT-KB2982794-x64 isn't compatible with my PC or something like that. Then I uninstalled the windows update KB2982794 hoping it will solve my issue but it didn't because now I get and error saying something like: "this update is unavailable for this computer".
Additional info: Browser latest IE10 on Windows 8, also when I check the "manage addons" tab in IE there is a Shockwave Flash Object under the not available line(I'm not sure it's exactly called by that since my ie not on english language.) and I can confirm that flash is not working in IE now.
Additionally reinstalling ie10 would solve my issue?
Any help would be appreciated and sorry for my English.

    Hello,
Microsoft embeds the Flash Player for Internet Explorer on Windows 8 and above.  It cannot be installed separately.  Based on your statement, it seems you selected the wrong update (Windows8-RT) to install.  If you have an Intel-based Windows 8 machine, you need to get the non-RT update.  RT is a different architecture and the updates for RT cannot be installed on an Intel-based system.
To update Flash Player for Internet Explorer on Windows 8 and above, run Windows Update on your machine by going to the Control Panel, select Windows Update and then, in the upper left, select Check for Updates.  Windows Update may take a few moments to run and identify which updates are necessary.  Depending on what you currently have installed, you may need to run Windows Update a few times, installing the various required updates before the update with the current version of Flash Player becomes available.  The most efficient way to keep Internet Explorer up-to-date with the latest version of Flash Player is to have IE update automatically, however, some folks don't like automatic updates and like to control the updates themselves.  This is perfectly understandable and requires to check for updates regularly (e.g. at least once per month, on the second Tuesday of the month).
If you have non-IE browsers, you can install Flash Player on your own.  Launch the non-IE browser and navigate to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.  The site will detect the OS and browser and offer the appropriate Flash Player compatible for the browser.  One caveat is that if you have Google Chrome browser, Google embeds Flash Player in Chrome, so you don't need to do anything to install it as its' already present.

  • Installation problem; can't install anything after failed install

    Hi everybody,
I have just changed computer and I tried to instal Cubase LE4 on my new macbook air running on OS X Mavericks (10.9.2).
I have encouter similar problems of others that tried the same operation on SL years ago, namely: when the installation started, it went well, but in the end it will say 'install time remaining; about a minute'. No matter how long I leave it (literally hours), the loading bar won't move an inch, even though it looks like it's loading.
Now I have to force quit to get rid of the screen.
However every time I try to install something else the problem is still there. The installer tells application says: "Waiting for other installetion to complete".
I can't install any other program.

  • Installation problems: can't install anything after failed install.

I believe this may have been posted before, but I have a different OS than in the question I read so I thought I should ask again.
I have a Macbook Pro running OS X Lion (late 2011) and a while ago I was dumb and decided to install old Cubase LE 4 software onto my brand new Macbook. The installation stalled with "less than one minute remaining", I force quit, tried several more times, and ever since then I can't install anything else. I heard of some hotfix that can remedy this problem, but since I have the new OS I was wondering if that would still work.
    Any suggestions/answers are greatly appreciated.

  • Recently upgraded to new version of Firefox and after a Windows System Restore was performed today Firefox is no longer accessable (clicking Firefox icon results in nothing) what can I do?

After System Restore Mozilla Firefox icon is still on the bottom of screen but now when I click on the icon the Firefox browser does not open. I have a number of bookmarks saved that I would perfer not to lose - is there anyway I can restore Firefox without losing bookmarks?

Using System restore can cause your Firefox installation to get corrupted because not all files are restored, so be careful with doing a System Restore.
Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 9.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • Can't install 8.0.2 because iCloud restore won't complete

Been trying to restore from iCloud backup for 4 days. Apple replaced my iPhone 5 due to a defective camera. They told me it would finish restoring after a few hours. It's been 4 days and it still claims it is trying to restore. I can't install 8.0.2 until it finishes the restore from Monday. I've tried turning it off and on a few times. I can't see what files it's still trying to download. Apps, Music, and Pictures appear to have downloaded ok. Been on wireless most of the time. Any suggestions? I guess I could just stop the Restore, but I'm hesitant to do that in case that messes something else up. It also won't backup again until Restore stops.
    Thanks!

I talked with an Apple tech online, and he told me I could stop the restore if I was sure I had all of the files I wanted on my phone. I knew I had all of my apps and pictures, all the music I cared about--plus I could always put that back on from my computer if I wanted to. So I just went into Settings and went to the Backup screen and clicked on Stop Restore. After that iOS 8.02 started installing. I didn't have any other problems after that.
The tech did tell me that it could take days to do a full restore if you had quite a lot on your phone. And if you go in and out of wireless it slows it down.

  • CS$ Mac Install error after problems with system

I have Illustrator CS4 for Mac.  Had system problems and several programs failed to run after re-installing system 10.6.8.  Now all (including PSE) work except for Illustrator.  Have tried to re-install Illustrator, but when the installer finishes, it says, "installation complete with errors.  It suggests re-starting and trying again, which I have done several times.  I have also run the uninstall app and then re-installed.  After quitting the installer, Illustrator will open to the start screen, but clicking on any of the choices or selecting open or new from the file menu results in the program quitting.  I really need this to do my work, and have people waiting for jobs.

Of course that should say CS4, not CS$.  This is an iMac (late 2006) with System 10.6.8.  There is nothing in any crash or log files that makes sense to me.  Here is the message.
I have tried a few hints found in other posts for other install issues.  Am still having the same situation.  It starts, but accessing any menu or a choice from the startup screen results in the program quitting.

  • ITunes doesn't work after reinstallation following system restore

My Toshiba Satellite P100 uses Windows XP SP2. I don't think my hardware is a real issue in this instance, but I can post it if others think it's pertinent.
I installed iTunes a couple weeks ago and things seemed to work pretty well. I began having issues with my computer freezing up (always when I was away from the computer, so I don't know why) and my fingerprint reader stopped working with Firefox, so I decided to try a System Restore. I set it to restore to December 10th, and both issues seem to have been resolved. However, since December 10th was before iTunes was installed, I had to reinstall iTunes. The installation seemed to work fine, but when I clicked finish with the box to launch iTunes afterwards checked, iTunes did not launch. I thought little of it, and just double-clicked the iTunes icon on my desktop. I got an error message like the following:
"iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.
Please tell Microsoft about this problem

I clicked on the link, but the information it provided was over my head. If anyone thinks it could be helpful in fixing this, let me know and I'll post it.
And then there are two buttons, "Send Error Report" and "Don't Send".
I've seen this kind of error message before when a program gets overloaded or something and has to shut down, but this pops up every time I try to open iTunes (either from the Program Files menu or from the Desktop) and I never even see the iTunes window before the error forces it to shut down. I have tried both rebooting my computer and reinstalling iTunes, but I am still having the same problem. I don't want to have to revert to my old system settings now that my machine is running better, so any advice on an alternative would be greatly appreciated.

I AM HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!! It happened when I upgraded to the newest version of itunes. I did a system restore to a date when everything was working fine and my itunes still did not work. I have tried to go back to an older version and do uninstall/install but the same thing keeps happening. If you figure it out let me know and I will do the same. Also, my quicktime seems to not be working normally.

  • Can iphone ios get virus and will system restore fix it

there has being discussions and news stating that there few ios viruses lurking in the internet, I was wondering if Iphone ios can get virus and if it can, will system restore solve the problem
Im suspicious because I went to a site that i cant remember and it took a long time to load, then was a aadvertisement that look like a app introduction in app store, i accidenally clicked the download button so i quickly closed the window after 2 seconds of loading.
    Thankyou for your support
Also bonus question-please tell me why cant i start the Game Total war battles:shogun with out an internet connection, with out it will crush

There are no known viruses that can affect or infect a non-jailbroken iOS device.  If it has not been jailbroken you cannot alter or write to the operating system.  So that should not be a worry for you.
There are websites that have some nasty behavior and will try and capture information or leave things like cookies behind that affect your web browser.  With iOS, again, there isn't much to worry about.  And stopping a download before it finished should leave you in good condition.
You can always, if things get strange, restore your system from a clean backup if you have backed up to iCloud or iTunes on a computer.  You can go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Settings which will leaver your apps intact but clear your settings, which you will have to go back and make sure you have your WiFi, etc set correctly, but that isn't necessary unless you start seeing a lot of strange behavior.
Clean up operation easily by doing a reboot - hold both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, ignoring the red slider if it appears.
The bonus question - I don't do gaming so cannot offer any help with that issue.
