I can't install Oracle8.1.7 on Pentium4,Help me please

i can't install Oracle 8.1.7 Enterprise Edition on Pentium4-
1.3G , I use W2k Server. Have any idea to help me? I've heard
that there is a patch to solve this problem,but i can't find it.
Help me please.

I have used the Adobe Cleaner Tool many times and uninstalled other Adobe Products but neither has worked. Absolutely not. You are misinterpreting things. The activation check never happens when just running the installer, only much later. It means what it says - there is another "install" pending/ active on your system, meaning somewhere there is an (invisible) process still blocking things. Either way, since you haven't provided any real technical info, we can't advise specifically. if you are on Windows, you may want to check your task manager and terminate any setup.exe and msiexec.exe processes plus potentially may need to manually fix/ delete some registry keys. For anything beyond that you will have to be much more specific.

hello forum it seems as if i have miss understood something about installing C:\AS10gNT_Disk1,2,3.
1: i have unziped all the 3 zip files in there respectivelly folders.
for examples.C:\AS10gNT_Disk1\Disk1.
i have oracle 9is db installed on my pc,
so in a previous maill somebody adviced me, plus the installation errors showed me that i could't installed it in C:\oracle\ora92 witch is where I have oracle9is db installed.
Then I was told that I could just give any new oracle_home and path.
but this is not working for me.
when I run oracle universal installation.

actually I can only tell how it worked for me. I unzipped all zips into teh same directory and ended up with
d:\stage\disk1
d:\stage\disk2
d:\stage\disk3
Then I started the installer from disk 1 and follwoed all teh instructions. I did specify an Oracle Home as OracleAsInfra for the infrastructure to be in d:\OracleAsInfra and similar for teh Midtier OracleAsMidtier to be in d:\OracleAsMidtier
The rest ran smoothly

I 'm tying to get oracle 8.0.5 working wih slackware 4.0.
kernel is v. 2.2.13.
I 'm using glibc 2.1.2. (./configure prefix=/usr enable-add-
ons=crypt,linuxthreads).
oracle installation went fine.
svrmgrlO is running but svrmgrl provoques a Seg. Fault for
example. More generally, all the progs called xxxxO are running
but not the corresponding xxxx.
So i would be very intersted to get your help.

I downloaded jre1.1.6 v5 and installed/created symbolic link
from /usr/local/jre to /download/jre116_v5. When I installed
Oracle8i, I got the following message:

Hello,Please help me i had an update the other day.when i downloaded it ,it basically stuffed my whole itunes program.I am unable to access anything in relation to my itunes.I have uninstalled itunes several times with no joy.And always comes up missing files can't install.cant reinstall this great program and i am missing playing all of my music videos and music.Thankyou in this matter.I have windows vista home premium.

When I go to install itunes+quicktime it says "A newer version of quicktime is already installed. This installation cannot proceed while the newer version of quicktime is installed". Even though quicktime is not installed on my computer because I had uninstalled it. When I've tried to download quicktime by itself. There's a box that pop up's wanting the quicktime.msi install package or a alternate path. I found 2 quicktime.msi. One is from '08 version 7.4.5 the other from '10 version 7.6.9. When I've tried to repair the 7.6.9 it says "this action is only valid for products that are currently installed".
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25 2010. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another QuickTime install. Does it go through properly this time?
