I can't install the java applet for google drive

I want to upload complete maps into drive as a backup. But every time I want to install the Java applet a little yellow bar appears in drive wich says: ''The installation of the java applet has failed.''
(I'm using a dutch version, so the quotations are just a free translation to english.)
When I click on the add-on button next to the padlock and click on ''allow to continue'' the page appears to refresh, but then the add-on button just reappears next to the padlock and nothing has changed.
I have enabled java through the padlock and at the permissions tab, but that didn't solve it.
I have also followed these steps: https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2424368, but these also didn't help.
I have the latest versions of java and firefox installed, and I'm running windows 7.
Please help

I can't install the Flash plugin for Firefox (Firefox version 1.5.0). I've tried to install the latest version 9.0.16.0 from the Adobe Download Centre. There are no error messages or warnings during the installation.
The Flash plugin for IE is working fine.
I've tried everything, uninstall the pre-installed version (7), re-install FireFox, uninstall all plugins, download and install everything over and over..... still the same problem.

Thans for your reaction and suggestion.
I've cleaned up the register, deleted all the macromedia and flash keys.
Restarted, installed Flash plugin again, IE is working fine (again) but Firefox (and Opera!) only showing the message "Flash plugin needed" when I try to display a site with Flash content.
I have the same combination working on several desktops, does it have anything to do with te pre-installed software from Toshiba?
I have two Toshiba Sattelite's P100 with both exactly the same problems! Flash on IE working, Opera an Firefox NOT.

The standard build of Firefox for Linux definitely has an Advanced panel in the Preferences dialog, here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences > Advanced > Certificates mini-tab
But... some builds may be different.

Can't Install the X-fi I/O Drive Upgrade

I've trying to install my X-fi I/O Dri've Upgrade Kit for two days, all i get is the following message "Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system" when trying to install it. I can't install the software in the CD either, as someone else suggested, it won't install, gives an error message. I've tried everything suggested in the "read first before posting". I've searched troughout the forum, and couldn't find any solution, just more people with the exact same problem, and not a single reply. It would be nice to get a solution that works.

Where are you connecting pwr? To the card or directly to the bay? If its plugged into the card then disconnect that and then there is a floopy pwr connector on the bay itself and thats where you hook up power. The only time you will connect pwr directly to the card is if you get the break out box as it will get its pwr from the card. If your already set up that way then sorry for intrudingJess

Installed the Java patch for MAC yesterday and immediately could not get adobe reader to show pdf files...have troubleshot and can't seem to remedy ...ideas?

I have used the Firefox troubleshooting guides, no good. The Java patch is enabled and shows when I check applications. However when I run Firefox plugins it still shows the java plug in is outdated and need to be updated immediately.

OK, I went to the Firefox knowledge base article you cited and followed the directions with the exception that in the drop down menu I choose Adobe Reader for PDF files rather than the plug in default that apparently was set by the Java patch. Problem solved !!!!!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to get me back to the basic place I needed to be to correct this issue. YOU ROCK!!!!

Using object tags is the correct way and only way to download the plugin and let the client decide whether he can download it r not. There is no way to install automatically
I dont think there is a way to install automatically without a user intervention coz, it can open the floodgates for potential hackers.
Can u cite an example about which programs can be installed automatically and why do u want the plugin to be installed automatically?

Can I install the same license for a computer at work and at home?

We are a small design studio in South Africa and have recently had a huge misfortune when our offices burnt down. All our software and licensing agreements were lost.
We are now looking into the Creative Cloud for teams option. What I would liek to know is if you can use the same user license on more than one computer in the cloud?
If I have a desktop at work can I use the same license info for my laptop at home, when I need to take work with me from the office - we have quite a bit of work that needs to recreated after our loss.

The End User License Agreement for Creative Cloud states that you are able to install the same product on upto two machines only . So i guess with this functionality, your issues would be resolved.You can also manually sync the files in the Creative cloud storage and download the same while you are at Home.

Can't install the java 1.6.0_10

ok i've tried both online & offline installers.& can't install it. this is the error message i get eith the offline installer. the error code is 1330 & cabinet file is missing.this prob started after i scanned for virus trouble & my virus program removed some files from my comp. how would i fix this trouble.

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?

I have jre 1.6 installed on the target machine.

Need the java executable offline, go to the link you indicated from another computer or from your phone and download the executable that gets "out of line". Then you load it into your computer and run it.

Can't install the Flash Player for Internet Explorer

Hi.
Today, I started noticing my videos were stuttering a lot (something that doesn't usually happen on my computer) and I thought my Flash Player was glitching out, so I uninstalled it and deleted the registry keys for it via Iobit Uninstaller. I restarted and then re-downloaded the player.
The Firefox/Chrome/Opera etc. version installed smoothly and now works perfectly fine. In the case of the Internet Explorer installer, however, it says that a newer version of the player is already installed.
I'm using Windows 8 (64-bit) and IE10; from what I've been reading, IE10 comes with a pre-installed Flash Player. The problem is I don't seem to have it anymore. It doesn't show up in my IE Add-on list (http://i.imgur.com/mkm4JQf.png) and whenever I try to watch a video or something that requires Adobe Flash Player, it says I need the player.
Things I have tried so far:
downloaded the Adobe Uninstaller to uninstall the Player and then reinstall it;
checked if ActiveX Filtering was enabled (it was not);
reset IE settings to default;
installed Adobe Flash Player beta (it wouldn't let me; it said my Windows came with the latest version of the player);
ran the 32-bit version of the browser;
checked for possible Windows updates (it's up-to-date);
tried to downgrade the browser, without success (the IE10 update doesn't show up in my Control Panel's updates uninstallation screen);
tried to run System Restore (it failed; it said my antivirus had to be disabled, and I did, but it still wouldn't restore).
Normally, I wouldn't really mind it, since I don't even use the browser directly; software I'm using, however, requires IE (and its Flash Player) to run.
