  • I can't update itunes. I get error message can't find "itunes.msi". What can I do?

What can I do to download updated itunes. I get error message can't locate "itunes.msi." folder.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

'The installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\Web kit.resources\inspector\Images\Spinner Inactive Selected.gif.'
That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

  • HT204053 I updated to I0S6 but when I go to update my apps I get error message that I need IOS5

I updated to I0S6 but when I go to update my apps I get error message that I need IOS5! Why am I getting that message after already updating to IOS6?

The Apps are probably a bit behind and have not been updated to work with iOS6 yet.

  • IPAD2 - When i update my apps i get error message 1004.

IPAD2 - When i update my apps i get error message 1004. OS is actually 4.3.5.
Still get error when i connect thru pc.
I have powered off and retried - still fails to update

This seems to work for some users ...go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Cache. Restart the iPad. Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and slide to shut down. Hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears to power up again.
    Then try again.

  • Can't install due to "registry" and "dll" error messages.

I can't install any Adobe products. This occured after a complete reinstall of my Windows XP - if that has anything to do with it. I have done a reinstall before without any problems.
I keep getting error messages about "missing registry" and "dll"s.

I tried to install again to see what the exact error message was, but now all I get is a Microsoft message that says "Adobe Flash Player Installer has encountered a problem and needs to close." I have been having other problems installing other products and have been getting messages like "Entry Point Not Found" followed by messages like"entry point...could not be located in the dynamic link library".
I don't know exactly what "repaired" means in installing an OS. What I did was use my reinstall Windows OS disc and follow the instructions for a "clean" install. The prompts say that my files will be wiped out, and that programs will have to be reinstalled. When promted to pick a partition I always pick the default of a 50/50 split of the hard drive.

  • Trying to install iOS 7.0.4. get error message each time

get error message each time i try to install new update

If you are trying to update via wifi, don't.
Turn wifi off and connect to computer, update with iTunes.  This will allow you to create a full backup to computer first, which is a VERY good idea.

  • Can't install PS Elements 10 due to error message

I tried to install a downloaded copy of Photoshop Elements 10 for Mac but in the installer got the error message that I needed to quit Photoshopserver and Dynamiclinkmanager.  I don't know what these are and could not find them anywhere on my computer so how do I get past this?  I end up with exit code 24, a fatal error.  Frustrating.

These are both headless processes used by other Adobe applications.  Since you aren't able to access the applications themselves you will need to end the task utilizing the Activity Monitor found in Applications/Utilities.  Simply select the process and then click the Quick Process button.
I would also recommend restarting your computer after the installation is complete.  This will allow those processes to be started back up when you log back in so that they will be available to the needed applications.

  • Since updating to 10.4 getting error message on startup 'AppleSyncNotifier.exe – Entry Point Not Found, The procedure entry point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll.'. How do I fix this annoying problem?

Since updating to 10.4 I've been getting this error message on computer startup
'AppleSyncNotifier.exe – Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll.'.
Please help me fix this annoying problem?
    belle

This is the fix I got from discussions and it worked for me.  It is copied below.  I just did the manual fix which I have underlined. Good luck! Regards, Belle.
This can occur because libmxl2.dll is not in your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support folder.
There have been some issues with this and other dlls not being in the right place (or not being everywhere they should be) since the 10.3.1.55 iTunes update.
However, I note that the 10.4 iTunes update is now out - surprisingly quickly - so try installing that, rebooting, and see if your issue is solved.
If it isn't, though, here's the manual fix:-
With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the libmxl2.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well.
I actually had the issue with SQLite3.dll, and the above fix worked for me (I found it in an April 2010 posting!).
I passed on the fix as above for the similar issue with libmxl2.dll to someone who had exactly your problem, and he reported that it fixed it for him.
