I can't launce Photoshop CS 6 from within Lightroom Properly.

I'm using LIghtroom 4.1 RC2 Camera Raw 7.1 RC, CS6 Master Collection Trial Version, Windows 7
This is a known issue / conflict with the Photoshop 6 Beta and Windows UAC that seems not to have been resolved (See detailed description below)?? If anyone knows of a workaround I would be VERY Grateful… Turning UAC off is not an option nor does it rectify the problem.
When I select an image right click and choose Edit In “Edit in Adobe Photoshop CS6…” Windows throws a UAC User Account Control warning “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer” choosing yes opens Photoshop CS6 but the image is never created. I have to exit out of Photoshop. After Photoshop has closed (And a few minutes) Lightroom will then display “The File could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CS6 could not be launched…” I then get a second UAC User Account Control warning “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer” and the file is created and opens up in Photoshop. (The last part never happened in the Beta but at least Lightroom now creates a .psd file (In the Beta, I had to first create the PSD using Photoshop 5.1)
However I still can’t get Lightroom to open a dng as a smart object in Photoshop Edit In / “Open up in Photoshop as a Smart Object” to work at all!! This is ultamatly what I would perfer to be able to do.

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem that the problem with User Profiles (where the user profile doesn’t reside in the default location C:\Users\XXX) has been resolved… took two days but I finally was able to down load and install Master Collection…
In Windows there is an Administer Icon on lower 1/3 of the Photoshop Icon, indicating that you need to “Run As Administrator” which wasn’t present in the Beta. And when application is launched “User Account Controls” does prompted you “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer”
On the - Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)\Photoshop.exe I have changed the “Change Settings for All Users” to “Run this program as Administrator” but as with the Beta I still get the User Account Controls prompt each time I launce Photoshop!
It was a real problem with Lightroom 4… I was never able to create a smart object psd in Lightroom. And creating a psd file required that I create the PSD using Photoshop 5.5 and only after creating the 5.5 PSD could I open the file in Photoshop 6.
Is there some stem that I have missed or some other work around???

I tried the solution I posted last night (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/edit-photoshop-command-missin g-photoshop.html) and it didn't work uninstall / reinstalling CS6 also doesn't work!! Finaly I went into the Registry and removed all referances to Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (there are a number of them) and pointed them to Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 but that also doesnt work!!!
The only solotion sofare is what I posted earlier... adding a pointer in "Edit In" to the 32bit version of Photoshop. Dut as I stated it still dosen't alow me to open in Photoshop as a Smart Object -- I GIVE UP!!!!

When can we publish Air 3.0 from within Flash IDE?

I am very eager to get started on developing with Air 3.0.
I'm using Flash CS5.5, but natively Air 3.0 is not available from within the IDE. I know I can publish using the command line, but this is really a bit to complicated for me.
Can anyone tell me if and when we can expect an update for Flash CS5.5 so we can publish Air 3.0 files from within the IDE directly?

There are two ways of being able to publish to AIR 3,0 from within Flash CS5.5. You can either rename the AIR2.6 folder and put in the AIR3.9 folder, renamed to AIR2.6. That, of course, won't let you do code completion on new features, or see any interface changes. Or you can follow the long winded overlay process, and then would be able to do code completion.
Are you saying that the long winded overlay way still doesn't give an option to publish with captive runtime? When you said that copying the SDK wouldn't give new UI options, that made me think you were saying that the more elaborate overlay would would.
So, users are then stuck with FB4.6 public beta, command line, or waiting for "Flash Next" before being able to publish captive runtime Android apps.

Can I change Filename from within Lightroom?

I am in the Trial Period with Lightroom, having just used it for two days. I assume that one must be able to change a photo's filename from within Lightroom, but I surely can't see how to do it, having looked in the Help file and through all the menus.
Here's what I'm trying to do. When I take photos, I create a descriptive filename that tells me what's in the image. Then I import a big batch. What I want to do is to create slideshows from those images in a different order from the importing order: maybe it's slide 23, then 15, then 10, etc. I was hoping to do this by sticking sort numbers on the front of the filenames (changing the filenames), and then sorting on the filenames to create the desired slideshow sequence.
But, I can't find a way to change the filename within LR. If I do it outside LR, then I lose whatever work I've already done on the images.
Am I overlooking some obvious better way to do this?

How can I execute an external program from within a button's event handler?

I am using Tomcat ApacheTomcat 6.0.16 with Netbeans 6.1 (with the latest JDK/J2EE)
I need to execute external programs from an event handler for a button on a JSF page (the program is compiled, and extremely fast compared both to plain java and especially stored procedures written in SQL).
I tried what I'd do in a standalone program (as shown in the appended code), but it didn't work. Instead I received text saying the program couldn't be found. This error message comes even if I try the Windows command "dir". I thought with 'dir' I'd at least get the contents of the current working directory. :-(
I can probably get by with cgi on Apache's httpd server (or, I understand tomcat supports cgi, but I have yet to get that to work either), but whatever I do I need to be able to do it from within the button's event handler. And if I resort to cgi, I must be able to maintain session jumping from one server to the other and back.
So, then, how can I do this?

NB: The programs that I need to run do NOT take input from the user. Rather, my code in the web application processes user selections from selection controls, and a couple field controls, sanitizes the inoputs and places clean, safe data in a MySQL database, and then the external program I need to run gets safe data from the database, does some heavy duty number crunching, and puts the output data into the database. They are well insulated from mischeif.
NB: In the following array_function_test.pl was placed in the same folder as the web application's jsp pages, (and I'd tried WEB-INF - with the same result), and I DID see the file in the application's war file.

I have created a third "selection" executable that allows the operator to choose between one of the two, but I am receiving errors when I attempt to call a LabVIEW executable from within a LabVIEW executable using either the "System exec" VI or the "Run Application" VI. If I call a non-LabVIEW executable (such as Windows Explorer) everything works fine.

As with the other poster, I suspect a path problem. You might try the
path out in a shell window, and if it works, copy the complete absolute
path to LV to see if that works. LV is basically passing the comma
nd to
the OS and doesn't even know what is in it, so you should be able to get
it to work.
The other poster commented on subpanels, which is a good suggestion, but
without going to LV7, an EXE can have open more than one VI. You can
use the VI Server and the Run method to fire up another top-level VI.
The decision is whether you want both to be in unique processes.

We want to use BIP as a reports solution for a Forms 10g Application. Currently we use oracle Reports. I would be very grateful if anybody can show us how to do the following as I could not find it in any documentation. Of course, I get the feeling that these cannot be done, but I want to double-check.
(1.) How to call a BIP report with a input parameters from within an Oracle 10g Menu? i.e. when the user clicks on the menu item, BIP should be started and it should run the report within the BIP.
-- So we also need a way to pass parameters to the BIP
-- Also BIP has a different username/password also
Is this possible or NOT POSSIBLE( i.e. U have to ask the user to login to BIP and then run the report)?

Can´t change alias to use from within iPhone 4 Mail app

According to the iPhone 4 users manual to choose the alias you want to use when sending an email, it´s as simple as to tap de "from field" to select the desired alias.
The problem, in my case, is that the "from field" doesn´t appears, so I can´t tap on it and I cannot see from within the iPhone 4 Mail application wich alias I am supposed to be using.
I´ve changed my default acount to use in Mobilme and it works fine there but it uses another different from the one I choosed in the iPhone 4 (though it changed the alias I had before).
Any suggestions on what to do ???

Can I make a database call from within my rss.xml file?

I have a rss.xml file for my web site which works just fine, but has to be manually updated each time my web site blog is updated. Is it possible to insert a sql query in my rss.xml file so it can pull the updated info automatically from my mysql db?
I know the rss.xml file will have to be renamed with a .php extension, will it still work?

They are called XML functions that you can set up in an .php file to export the updated file name as rss.xml, though I think it will overwrite anything already in the .xml file.

Have you tried using a mailto link on the form. We have found that this is accomplishes a lot of what F9 did in SOP. What you don't get is multiple templates, as the template is defined when you create the web link.

For this situation, first you could try to create the wcf data service and run it then consume the data service within your application by adding service reference.
Here is an example for creating and consuming WCF Data service in console application, and for consuming the service in wcf service, you could just follow the same steps as the console application does.

I can't connect to my PXI from within my LabView Project

Please advise,
I have been programming my PXI-8195 fine for weeks, but this morning I am receiving an error in connecting to the remote system from within my LabView Project. MAX says it is 'connected-running' and I even successfully tested a DAQmx task. I tried rebooting the PXI a couple of times as well as my host computer.
