are you sure your i-tunes is installed proper cause the icon is just a shortcut to the program.You might have some missing files. If so you may need to uninstall it and reinstall a new one.

I double click as usual, the hour glass appears for a mimute and then nothing. Does anybody have any ideas for what is goign on? If it helps, my ipod still charges when I plug it into my computer. I think I have the solution for you. I printed a response from DmitryByk (posted sept 11, 2005) and I followed the process he suggested and got my iTunes back. Look in the threads for iTunes for Windows, installation & upgrades, topic:Success! All fixes togther in one thread..step by step. It worked for me by the time I got to downloading Bonjour for windows. follow it and I think you will be sucessful too.

Same thing happened to me. I ended up completely uninstalling itunes then downloaded it again from http://www.apple.com/itunes/. If you're using firefox, for some reason itunes will not download and I don't know if using googlechrome will also have problems,so just to be sure that it will work on your first try, use internet explorer when you download itunes. Can you right mouse click iTunes icon and choose "Run as Administrator"?
If this fails:
Try SCAN your Windows system files for possible corruption:
Go to command prompt (START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES right mouse click "command prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator"

let Windows fix any system files that need to be repaired.

Had same problem and solved it without having to reinstore any music or movies:
1. Delete old Library file
2. Go to the 'Previous iTunes Libraries' folder and copy one of the earlier files - note, they have a date extension, e.g. 'iTunes Library 2011-11-01'.
3. Paste this file in your iTuners folder and rename file by removing the date extension - 'iTunes Library'
You should have all your music and paylists in tact, unless it was a really old previous file.

When you remove iTunes, your music on your computer (and your iPod, too) will be saved.
Let's try this:
Go to "Add or remove programs" in Control Panel.
Find iTunes and QuickTime from this list, and remove them both.
Then, download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove the remainging installation files.
For information on the WICU, see this:

Then, go to this page, and QuickTime (get the Standalone version, not the one that includes iTunes in the pack):

Then, install iTunes from this page here:
Download iTunes - 7.1.1.5
After you've done that, restart your computer.
Now, try opening iTunes again. Do you still get that error message, or not?

When I open Thunderbird, I can not see the inbox window. When I click on the icon in my dock (Mac) it's checked like it's open but I can't see it.

Check in Add-ons to see if you have any toolbars installed:

Because the Ask Toolbar (a custom version I think) is sometimes installed (or offered to be installed) with other programs, such as Foxit Reader.

After updating to Lightroom CC 2015, it will not launch when I click on the icon. A window gets up: "__crtCreateSymbolicLinkW" not found in DLL "MSVCR110.dll". Same failure occurs when I start Photoshop CC.
LR 5.7.1 Starts without Problem.
