I can't load blackberry app world

I have tried many things: it would seem to be easy to have the link sent to my email on the phone.  However - when I click on the link provided (http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld), the page tells me a bit about appworld, talks about fees for some downloaded software, has a link to check availability, and to change preferred language.  I live in Ontario, Canada I know it is available - I have had it before...
Anyone with a suggestion?

Maybe if you weren't trying to use my phone, it might work for you

  • Can't access blackberry app world- please help

    Hi Blackberry users,
I've just received my blackberry bold 9900 on ebay. Everything seems to be working fine.
However, I can't seem to open the app world?
I haven't put a simcard in yet, however, I am using my home Wi-Fi connection.
When I try to enter it, it says: 'You do not have sufficient wireless coverage or your connection to the wireless network is turned off'
Can you please tell me how I can solve this? My internet connection is perfectly fine. I can use youtube and web browser on my blackberry as well. I also tried to access blackberry app world in my browser but when I came to downloading the app from the web browser, it asked me to turn on cookies, which I checked was already on.
    Thanks guys

You have to have a BlackBerry data plan attached to your account in order to access this.  You'll have to give your carrier a ring so you can get it setup.

  • Can I load blackberry apps to my 8330 data phone without accessing the internet

I don't have the package that allows me internet access on my 8330. I only have the email access package. Is there any other way to load an app? I get the download link emailed to me but can't load it in the phone because I don't have the internet access.

  • Why can't I get Blackberry App World on my 8130 Blackberry Pearl?

I have a Blackberry 8130 Pearl, with telus mobility and it won't let me load blackberry app world on it. Solutions or reasons for failure please and thank you.
    =^.^=
    Added note:
I sent the email to my blackberry, opened it, clicked the links, but all I got was access denied.

Try again -- a generic data plan and a Blackberry Data Plan are separate entities. I suggest you contact your carrier and find out if you have an adequate data plan from them to enable your access of AppWorld via their network.

  • Can no longer login to Blackberry App World or get a password reset, please help!

I cannot login to My Blackberry App World on https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/login/
I have entered my email and password but it is rejected.
When I ask for a password reset I am prompted to answer a security question. The security question I am given is one I have never set, so I do not know what the answer is meant to be!
Consequently I cannot get a password reset so am unable to access My Blackberry App World, either on my phone or on a pc.
What has happened to my account and why can I no longer log in..?

Apparently, there was something corrupt in my Profile. I backed up my default profile, created a new one and copied over the critical folders and files - the addons; backedup bookmarks, places.sqlite; password info in key3.db and signons.sqlite.
    Issue resolved.

  • Can't access my blackberry app world

    Hi
I tried to upgrade my blackberry app world and when I restarted my BB it could not find the app anywhere.
Can you please help as some of the apps now are not working like Twitter and other third part apps.
    I am using a BlackBerry Troch 9800.

    Hello Nathy222
    Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
On your device when you go Options > Device > Application Management > Are you able to view those applications ?
Or on your device Open BlackBerry World > My World > Are you able to view those apps ? If not then try to clear App World Cache , to do that refer to this KB :
KB24714 : How to Clear BlackBerry App World Cache .
After clearing perform a Battery pull restart by removing the battery while your device is Powered On , wait for a min. then reinsert it back. After reboot please check My World and see if those application are available on that list , from which you can reinstall if needed .

  • Blackberry App World - Won't load

    Hi,
Blackberry App World opens then says something like : 'an error has occured please check your wireless conection and try again later'. I don't no the exact phrase and when I check again I will show it but does anyone know what to do? I re-establish by connection and it makes no diffrence. I have to reboot and sometimes that doesn't work. it came up with app error 200 and I got it fixed but it happened again making me go and get it fixed again. I have the Blackbery Storm 2(9950)-(I think it is the 9950).
    Thank you, soraroxas11

Gotcha:  when you say reboot, does that mean you've tried a battery pull?  If you have a WiFi connection available, try using that connection then open app world.  You can also try reinstalling AW from http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/appworld/download.jsp

  • What arguments Blackberry App world can take

I read some sample code which launches the Blackberry app world as given below.
           Registry registry = Registry.getRegistry( SampleApplication.class.getName() );
            Invocation invocation = new Invocation( null, null, "net.rim.bb.appworld.Content", true, ContentHandler.ACTION_OPEN );
            invocation.setArgs( new String[] { myContentId } );
            boolean mustExit = registry.invoke( invocation );
This takes the App SKU ID as the parameter such that App world is launched with the application page whoose id is passed as the parameter.
I would like to know what are the different parameters Appworld can take while launching. I would like to launch the app world with the review page of specific application.

    Hello.
In regards to your hope that RIM will see your message -- these forums are a user-to-user support channel, not a user-to/from-RIM conduit. As such, it is unlikely that they will see what you have written. However, if you have specific and constructive ideas for them, I have heard that they accept such via email to [email protected]
Front line support for BB's is, by contract, not provided by RIM. The carriers and authorized resellers are responsible for front line formal support to end users, including AppWorld support. I suspect this is why you have had difficulty finding a way to get support direct from RIM. It is possible to bypass your carrier and seek assistance direct from RIM, but such involves fees since you are bypassing your support agreement with your carrier. The "Support and Services" tab toward the top of these forum pages provide information about that. But, if you do go through your carrier for support, they can escalate into RIM at no fee to you if they so choose to.
    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry App World requires that your device radio is turned on to continue.

I no longer have a service provider for my Blackberry.  But I want to use it for listenting to Audio Books.  Can I still do this without internet service on the phone itself?
Initially it appeared as though I could, so long as I had it connected to my computer which was connected to the internet.  Initially, System Check told me that the AppWorld Browser plug-in was installed on the computer, and also that the device was connected to the computer.  It then locked up when trying to load the latest version of AppWorld on the Smartphone.  I've rebooted both since and now it tells me that I need the radio on to perform this task.  ANy ideas?

  • Blackberry App World Broken

Deja Vu (had a similar issue last time I posted here)
Ok so have a new Blackberry Q10
One day it shows updates are available OTA so I clicked update all
Device rebooted & ever since then Blackberry App World no longer works (if you try to load, it goes to a blank screen then jumps back to normal home screen)
It's even still notifying me about app updates, but I can not install any updates!
I saw an option in Blackberry Link which indicates I can reload device software, but clicking it gives a warning it will erase EVERYTHING (even media files, contacts etc)
There must be a way to unload / reload the App World (there was in the older Blackberry Manager software) but I just don't know what to do
    Any assist is greatly appreciated
    Tech Specs:
    Carrier Bell
    Blackberry Q10
    Software 10.1.0.4181

Same problem here and the two last software updates since I posted my thread haven't solved the problem!!
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Q10/After-Software-Update-BB-World-crashes/m-p/252...

Still the exact same problem as you described!
    STILL NO FIX!

Is there anybody that can help me, please!!!

    Hello !
Try connecting to App world after connecting your device to WiFi.
    Or else,
There is an alternative for your problem to resolve.
What you do is connect your BlackBerry Smartphone with USB cable to Internet enabled desktop/laptop.
Go to the link mentioned below:
    http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/
On top right  of the page there is a option "Sign In".
Login with your BlackBerry ID and password.
From here you can download all as you do it for Appworld.
    Hope this resolves your Problem!

  • Blackberry App World Update

    Hi, all,
An update for Blackberry App World has just been released.  The new version is 1.1.0.35.  It can be downloaded directly from Blackberry at their website from your Blackberry device.  I'm not sure of what exactly has been updated, but hopefully, it will run a little smoother for some folks who had problems with it in the past.  If you have never used Blackberry App World, it is chocked full of applications for your device, many free for download.  Check it out if you are looking for a particular app.
    Doc

Where exactly are we finding this application after we upgrade? I clicked upgrade YESTERDAY. Since then I have rebooted my blackberry 3 times, and blackberry app world is no where to be find. I unhide all my icons, it is not in the download folder. If I hit the application central icon it is there, but I cannot access it, it says, "downgrade" under blackberry app world.
