I can't load WordPress site properly

My Wordpress blog doesn't load properly on Firefox: all I get is a white page with all the links posted one under another: no layout, no background, no frames, no images. What is happening?

Recently safari can't load any page properly?

when i start up safari it loads google as my home page fine, but when i try to direct it to another site like youtube or twitter or anything at all it can't load the page properly, and instead loads the sites with a plain white background and all the links are in a norma blue font in a list type format on the page. does anyone know why this has happened?

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari
Select: Clear History / Remove all website data / Clear the Downloads list
Click Reset. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, try troubleshooting extensions and third party plug-ins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Can't get wordpress site displaying in Dreamweaver CC (xampp is setup)

Hello. I've been messing around with wordpress and I wanted to get it working in dreamweaver, haven't had much luck. I was present for the techlive conference for working with WP sites in dreamweaver and listened somewhat more casually knowing it will be uploaded to the archives later for me to go back and look at. Unfortunately, it was uploaded to youtube in 480p and is pretty much useless for anyone trying to follow along since the text is completely unreadable.
From what I can tell I have the site and server setup correctly.
I have xampp installed in the default location (C:\xampp).
I downloaded the latest wordpress and extracted the folder to C:\xampp\htdocs
The apache and mysql server in xampp are running
Created a new site in dreamweaver with the local site C:\xampp\htdocs\WPsite\
I set the connection to local/network
Under servers I have the server folder as C:\xampp\htdocs\
Web url as http://localhost
When I try to open the index.php file a dialogue box pops up asking me if I want to update the file on the testing server, I click yes and another dialogue box pops up asking if dependant files should be included in the transfer, I click yes.
After clicking live view I get these errors:

The forward and backslashes are odd. I have not touched absolutely anything in the wordpress folder or in xampp beyond what I listed. What am I doing wrong?
Any help or direction would be appreciated. I used wamp before and I could get the site working and displaying fine in the browser but I don't know how to do it with xampp. I switched over to xampp from wamp since I thought maybe I'd have more luck getting it to work in dreamweaver that way. I had some other errors in dreamweaver when I set it up using wamp.

I've gone through several of those threads and that is not the issue. The index.php file in the root directory is untouched. I have the index.php from the root folder of the WPsite and a clean wordpress download and both are identical.
I don't know if dreamweaver is doing something weird and creating files and folders locally but something weird is going on. I have a wp-content folder inside of htdocs (outside of WPsite folder) and I never created it there. It also seems to have placed or created several php files in the htdocs as well (index.php, wp-blog-header.php, wp-load.php).
I deleted them and opened the index.php file from the root folder, not themes, and it created the blog and index file again. Trying to open up the index.php from the twentytwelve theme folder seems to create the wp-content folder outside of the WPsite folder.
It doesn't seem to be copying all of the necessary files I'm assuming. The wp-content folder outside of the WPsite (htdocs/wp-content/themes/twentytwelve) only had 1 php file, index.php (guessing the one I tried to open) and nothing else inside of it.
The only thing pointing directly to htdocs is the server folder inside of the Server tab when managing a site. Should that be changed to C:\xampp\htdocs\WPsite as well or am I doing something else wrong?

Why won't Firefox load videos/sites properly...

When I go to Youtube, the video will load but will freeze after a few seconds. Some sites (like Tumblr, for example) don't load properly as well.. Help?

I am having trouble with the this site. It loads but keeps on trying to load. in the tab it flashes connecting ....emails and passwords not retained...connecting ...and so on.
the functionality of the page does not allow scrolling through the page it just goes back to the opening position.
this page and my hotmail page does not function as they should.

Can I edit Wordpress site through Dreamweaver?

I've started a site on wordpress consultantdesignengineers.com and I was wondering is it possible to open wordpress template files in DW and do some customizing and be able to see the results in the design mode and if so, what exact files from WP need to be loaded in DW? cheers

WP Theme development requires really good coding skills in PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. If you're not a skilled coder and more specifically very familiar with how Child Themes work, I don't think DW's Design View will much help to you. It's all about working with code.
To work with PHP files locally, you need a local testing server.

Can't load SSL sites when connected to Verizon Hot Spot

So I'm testing out a Verizon iPhone for my company. Great experience so far; only one dropped phone call!
Recently, when connected to the internet via the phone's hot spot, I'm no longer able to load SSL websites. A good example of this is logging into gMail. Moreover, I can load the Facebook login page, however I cannot complete login and I can't verify any certificates (or force trust or anything). Moreover, my company/personal e-mail won't load either.
Once I try to force the certificate, I'm taken to a Verizon page about enabling the Hot Spot feature (which doesn't make sense, since I can browse other sites just fine and the feature is already being paid for by my company).
Has anyone else experienced this?
The issue persists on all devices (iPad, other iPhones, computer), I've reset network settings, changed my hot spot password, performed a hard reset; nothing seems to work.

Those two are essentially the same owners, same place.

I really think it's something with them, but have you tried tweaking the settings yet on the MBP? Like MTU & such?

Safari doesn't load certain sites properly (anything better out there)?

Safari is playing tricks and is not willing (capable?) of reading certain sites (mainly banking). Colors are not correct and I can't see the menus although they are there since I can click on the white background and be directed to a desired service (after long series of trial and error...). On a second case.. the bank site shows a message saying the login page is not available (????? strange???)..I did try the same page with PC (windows) and got there very easily. I just can't use my Mac for trivial activites like surfing the internet whilst being able actually to read the site ..to banking services.
Any quick fix for this issues? Is there a better ibrowser for Mac? O should I sell my new Mac and reinvest in PC?

The FAFSA website only recognizes Firefox 4.0 or earlier versions. How can I get a compatible Firefox version so I can access the FAFSA site properly?

Is there a way to use or restore an earlier version of firefox so I can complete the FAFSA form that is mandatory for me to complete?

The fafsa.gov site does not currently support Firefox newer versions. That is their choice.

Can't load iweb09 site using ftp

I recently upgraded to iweb09. I have successfully published a web site in the past using iweb08 and cyberduck ftp program. I now want to use the new software with built in ftp, but can't get it to upload. I get the following error message:
Unable to write to server. Verify your settings ad try again.
I have verified all settings and login id and they are correct. Any suggestions on what I can try?

Host Excellence is compatible with Mac, Windows and Linux.
However, the main reason for being able to upload is that you can name the folder on the server side the same as the one you are uploading.
This is the method I have always used and it seems to be within the limited capability of the iWeb FTP to do this.
The problem seems to be with Windows servers and those that force you to upload to a preexisting folder which you cannot rename.
I am still publishing to a local folder, not because the FTP doesn't work, but because my websites will not work in IE if I don't optimize the files before upload.
I have been advising users in this forum to publish to a local folder and use an alternative application to upload until the iWeb FTP grows up.
Apple are now advising you to do the same so don't beat your head against a wall and let them figure it out.

I doubt if location is a factor.
Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file.
Quit Safari.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Now launch Safari. If that site loads, move the .plist file to the Trash.
If it's not preferences ...
And from your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Advanced tab. Click: Change Settings. That will prompt the Network pane. Make sure the Proxies tab is selected.
If any of the boxes on the left are selected, uncheck the box(es). Relaunch Safari.

I CAN load secure sites, but CAN NOT load regular sites; help!

Hi guys,
For whatever reason, I suddenly can not view regular websites with my browser; either Firefox or IE. Strangely, I ''can'' visit websites that are to secure; ie those starting with "https". I have not changed any browser settings, nor have I installed new hardware or software; the problem just seem to come out of the blue. Additionally, I have run a full scan of my system using NOD32 anti-virus, and nothing was found.
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Firefox can't load certain sites; your link for this topic doesn't work. Firefox 4, 5,6-Debian-6

In the last week certain websites won't load. All I get is a blank page. Some of them: www.amazon.com, www.chron.com, www.microsemi.com.
I was able to get on amazon.com by following a link for vendor feedback from an email but nothing else works.
This problem exists with Firefox 4, 5, 6 and the default Debian browser Iceweasel. I am using Debian 6.0.

E3000 Won't load any site.

I forgot my E3000 router password so I restarted to factory settings.
I tried to set up using the software that I downloaded for the site and It didn't work, It gave me some errors that I was able to fix later running the software from a windows XP sp3 pc (Lucky I had one of those). Anyhow, even though the software "was able to set the router" I still couldn't connect to the internet, I tried to solve this problem browsing the forums and it kept saying I I was connected to the router but the router wasn't connected to internet.
So after all, browsing and stuff I tried to restart to factory setting a couple of times reboot it and reboot my pc, currently I found out This Link (Since i don't need a login for my ISP) I realized one of the problems was my Local IP address was 192.168.1.1 so I changed to 192.168.2.1 and surprisely it showed me connected to the internet after that.
But still, I can't load any site using the router, It's like I still wasn't connected to the internet, I check "Status" and I get a IP address and everything, I have tried Release and then Renew to get a new one and it still won't load any site, I'm tired of looking around, really mad about this problem.
Any solutions?
PS: If you got no idea you get me a very detailed guide of how to set up my router (I think I did all right though) but I got no problem resetting it again and start over as long as it fixes this problem.

Hi deimerx, first of all, how was the reset done? Did you do it by pressing the reset button down for 30 seconds while the device was on? Let me share the steps to the the proper reset :
1. Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds while the device is on.
2. Release the button and unplug or power off the device.
Once done, reinstall the settings.
