I can't log in to my iMessage account from my iPad.

Whenever I go to iMessage to message and need to sign in! I give in my password but it doesn't seem to receive me in! I need to select my email accounts through which I will send mails! When I give the email it takes me back to the start of this. The same asking-password-screen! What to do ? I'm worried?? Please tell me a way to fix this!

What happens when you try to log in ? I'm able to log in ok on my first gen iPad.
You could try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History) - Clear Cookies and Data in iOS 5
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    Apple discontinued it on June 30, 2012. Many of its services are now provided by iCloud; anything which connects specifically to MobileMe won't work.

  • I can't connect to iCloud or iTune account from my iPad.

    I get verification request time out. Wi-Fi is on and I can sign in my account from my windows 7 PC. I synced iPad with my windows 7. It does not help. Basicly my iPad is dead. It doen't allow me to surf internet or receive latest emails.
    When syncing with my PC, I did get a message mentioning that account on my iPad does not update but after finshed sync, I still have the same problem with iPad.

    Charge ipad via wall outlet for at least 1 hour.

    Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
    If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings  (or for network connection issues 'reset network settings').
    (no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).
    If that doesn't work then backup and then restore the device as new first (to isolate cause of the issue). Then from backup if necessary.

    Have you got 'Find My iPad' enabled? This has to be turned off using the original ID address.
    Try going back to http://appleid.apple.com and changing the ID back to the original address. If you can get this accepted, then go to the iCloud preferences/settings pane, stop 'Find My ....', and then sign out. Do the same on any other devices or computers.
    Then go back to http://appleid.apple.com and change the ID to the new one. Sign in with that on all your devices.
    However if the address which forms the original ID is now not working it can't be validated and it's possible that you won't be able to revert to it. In this situation only Support can help you.

    If you have a rescue email address setup, then you should be able to send an email to reset the password or the security questions. If that is not available, then you would need to contact iTunes Store support. Check out the article below for more information.

    What matters is how you set up message accounts in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive

    I have tried several times to add my Gmail address to the list of addresses that I can be reached at via my iMessage account. Every time, it says "email sent, waiting to verify". But I never receive the email (and yes, I've checked the Spam folder).
    I'm speculating that this could be because I also have a Google Talk account defined in Messages. But why should this matter?
    Could someone explain? (And even if this is working as intended, the message is misleading. Instead of "email sent, waiting to verify", it should say "you cannot add this address because it is already used in your Google account".)

    It should not matter whether the Added email is already in use as a Google/Jabber account.
    Is the Google Account logging in ?
    Google changed to their own Security authentication process called something like Auth-one.
    They claim this exceeds the SSL Login Messages makes to their servers.
    For the Google account it means you have to visit the account settings at Google and enable "Less Secure Logins" for apps like iChat and Messages and some Browsers.
    Two Step verification also have to be Turned Off.
    Now the iMessages use of additional emails makes me unsure if they use SSL or not.
    To register and link to the iMessages servers for the Apple ID in use does use port 5223 (the same port Jabber clients use for SSL logins)
    It suggests it is a Jabber like Database that is being used.

    Account is still set up against the account number for my old house (why?) so the email address was one I'd completely forgotten about.
    In other news: there seems to be a BBTalk outage. DNS is resolving but none of the addresses in the A records are responding.

    When using Firefox, I can log on to my google mail, but can't log on to my Blogger account. It works fine on Chrome.
    When I go to any blog on blogger, the top bar doesn't show the sign in option, it shows part of the "create a blog" page instead.
    As I use Firefox for blogging, this is terribly inconvenient.
    I even changed back to an earlier version of Firefox as Firefox 4 is completely useless and unstable, but it didn't solve the problem.
    If Firefox continues to have so many problems, I would have to change my opinion about it and rate it as hopeless as Internet Explorer...

    BTW, the forum seems to have only questions, but no answers. I want my questions answered by Firefox, not read that other people are having the same problem. That doesn't help.
