I can't log in to write a review!!

I'm trying to review an album. Even thought I'm already signed in(I downloaded a couple songs), it asked me to sing in again. I entered my password....nothing. It asked for it again, I entered it again, and again, it didn't recognize it.
What's going on??

Yes, If somebody knows anything about this I need ti know also because the same thing happens to me. I contacted itunes but they really didn't help.

I have been unable to ever get Ping to work. When I try to set up my profile I get a -1202 error. Around the same time Ping refused to work (since it was introduced) I notice I now also cannot rate a song, I get an error message, and I cannot write a review.
I've contacted support a couple of times and gotten solutions not related to making Ping work or solving any of the other problems and then they close the ticket.

Since I can not log in bug report page, not even getting an error message, I'll write all my issues with ios8 here... I have an iphone 4S and I did the last update. Now I am in trouble.
    1. When I move the "sound on/off" button, I get it buzzing 10 times before the setting is changed and I can do anything else, just not reacting to the round button on screen touches.
    2. Impossible to copy text from most websites into notes.
    3. Impossible to delete an email account in settings.
    4. Uses up the battery twice as fast as before. I have "update apps" setting turned off, just reading a couple of mails, making a couple of photos and open maps apps twice a day, and the battery is dead well before the evening.
    5. Got extremely slow, and it was getting slower and slower with every system update.
I'm sure I forgot something... But well, that already a lot.

Well, actually number 3 in my list is not true any more, I just tried to delete my account 15 times, then I've written my post, then half an hour later my Settings finally updated my accounts list. Whohoo
I did not try restoring it yet, thank you for the link!

  • Can't log in - desktop won't load

Hi, and thanks for reading this. I hope someone here can help me.
I have a G4 flat-panel iMac, running 10.2.8. Bought brand new in 2002 and have had no problems, with the exception of the hard drive going out a few months later and replaced under warranty. (Apparently a few of the dual-boot machines had this problem.) They also upgraded the OS to 10.2.8 and the computer has run beautifully ever since. Until the other night.
I was online and the modem disconnected but Internet Connect kept displaying "Disconnecting". This happens on occasion and the only way out of it is to shut down the computer and restart. So I did, and when the computer restarted I could not log in. The computer started as usual and seemed fine, the log-in screen appeared, I entered my password, the computer said "logging in", a blue screen appeared briefly... and then kicked back to the login screen. The desktop never appeared.
After several tries of that, I decided to reset my password (with the system CD). It let me reset my password and the computer recognized the fact I had changed my password. (You know how the log-in screen "shakes" to signal a wrong password - that never happened.) I tried to log in again and it said "logging in"... and returned to the log-in screen. The same thing happened when I tried the root user account.
I was able to start up from my Norton CD and changed the startup disk to 9.2. In 9.2, I can see the contents of my hard drive including my User folder in OS X and everything that had been on my desktop in OS X is right there in the "desktop" folder for my user name. I can move, copy, and delete things there. It's all there; the desktop just won't load when I start in OS X.
I don't know if it helps, but in 9.2, the computer recognizes my ZIP drive, CDs, and my Wacom tablet and mouse.
I have gone through the discussion boards and articles here and cannot find where anyone else has had the exact same problem. I have tried the possible solutions below, and none of them have changed anything:
    * Norton Utilities (Disk Doctor) - fixed some minor errors, then ran it again and no problems were found.
    * Safe Boot - I couldn't get the mouse to work, and when I figured out the keyboard "shortcuts" to log in, I got the same thing as before... "logging in" and then getting kicked back to the log-in screen.
    * Disk Utility (from the Mac OS X install CD) - it fixed a couple things then said that my hard drive appeared to be okay.
    * fsck (single-user mode) - it said that "Macintosh HD appears to be OK". So at least the hardware seems okay.
    * Rebuilding desktop - a long shot but I figured it was worth a try; nothing changed.
    * Reset privileges (single-user mode) - as far as I can see, nothing changed even after doing this.
    * Startup items (folder) - nothing seems out of place.
    * Disable log-in items - I still couldn't log in
    * In single-user mode: when trying one of the suggestions from an article here, I typed "cd/Users/{my user name}/Library, then mv Preferences Preferences_old, and received a message stating "no such file or directory."
Looking through the contents of my hard drive, I can see that there is a Desktop icon for OS 9, but not anything for OS X. In theory, shouldn't there also be a desktop icon for OS X? Has my computer somehow lost its "connection" or "map" to my OS X desktop? I ran fsck again today so that I could look at logs/parse failed/plist/etc (an article I found here on apple.com) and following those steps, I noticed there was a line that said "root device is mounted read-only." So I can only assume that has to do with the fact my OS X desktop doesn't load.
So, with all that being said (it's a lot, I know, and I hope it all makes sense) ... Is this problem something simple that I can fix myself, or do I need to take it into the shop and have a technician look at it? As you can imagine, this is all getting very frustrating, with limited access to an old version of Photoshop, SimpleText, and a very old web browser that only works on a few sites (and thankfully Apple.com is one of them). I miss my OS X.
Thanks again for reading this, and for any advice/assistance you may be able to provide.

Thanks, Anna. Excellent work. Everything seems fine, except, of course, the booting OS X part.
    First try Resetting the PRAM
    • Shut down the computer.
    • Locate the following keys: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously later.
    • Turn on the computer.
    • Press and hold the Command + Option + P + R keys immediately after the startup chime.
    • Hold keys down until you hear the startup chime for the third time.
    • Release the keys and immediately and allow computer to boot.
The fact that you can boot in Safe Mode suggests that you may have a Login item that conflicts with the startup process. If resetting PRAM does not work try this:
    Boot computer in Safe Mode.
If you are able to get into the Login items (Apple Menu > System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items) make a note of all the log in items (write it down). Then delete them all by selecting each one in turn and clicking the minus sign under the list. Shut down and try booting the computer normally. If you are able to boot successfully add the Login items on your list one by one and try rebooting each time you have added one. This should help you isolate the offending item.
I hope one of these methods works. Post back and let me know.

  • I can not log into iCloud

Please help - I've upgraded to ML 10.8 (and also 10.8.1) and i can not log into icloud.
I get an error saying "You can not log in at this time".  I have no hair left on my head because I've pulled it all out!
Now, there are many published fixes for this, but NONE work. I've tried everything I can find:
Yes, I have an AU and US apple ID, and both dont work
I installed ML from a fresh disk wipe + install.  No baggage from previous OS's.
Everything is standard, no tricky fixes or apps
    No Little snitch installed
Have deleted the ~/Library/App Support/iCloud folder
    Have deleted any preference files
Have opened up the permissions on the ~/Library/Caches/iCloud folder
    Have reset keychain
Have deleted all references of any @me or @apple accounts
Have re-installed the ML OS from a DIFFERENT bootable USB stick
No proxies, SOCKS, or mods to network
Plain old home WIFI network, never had a problem
Have icloud successfully set up at work (QC 2.8GHZ Mac Pro 2010), on my iPhone, iPad and Macbook Pro - Zero issues
The mac having problems is a 2008 iMac, Core2Duo 2.8ghz Intel w 4gb 1067mhz ram) - Runs well, use for design.
Is it a problem with the iCloudHelper process not having sufficient permission to write to the iCloud user DB? or the Accounts folder?
Have looked into console, and when I try and log into iCloud, I get these three errors.  Same every time, no matter which apple ID account you use:
1: AOSKit ERROR: (System Preferences[352]) AOSKC ([email protected]): Failed to store key, couldn't add kc item, error 100013 (service=iCloud, dsid=146089737)
2: AOSKit ERROR: (System Preferences[352]) AOSKC ([email protected]): Failed to store account info key (dsid=146089737).
3: AOSKit ERROR: (System Preferences[352]) Failed to store account info for appleID=[email protected]
Please help!  Is this an incompatibiloty with the iMac problem, or a ML problem?
    Much appreciated
    Rick

Where EXACTLY are you trying to log in to it?
Through your web browser at iCloud.com?
Or through the iCloud system preferences pane on your Mac?

  • Can't log in with 'admin' + services are down

We can no longer log in to our server with the username 'admin'.. When we type in admin and the password, it just pauses for 10 seconds, and then shakes the login window as if the password was wrong.
Before this problem (on our intel Xserve, OS X Server 10.5.3) we used 'admin' + the password to use Screen Sharing and to log in to the File Server.
We used these services: File Server, Web Server, Mail Server, Printer Server.
Only the Web Service is working now, probably because it's not dependent on passwords etc.
After a Software Update (for Quicktime) and a re-start, we can't log in.
Using the name 'root' and the same password as the 'admin' let's us into the server, but this doesn't work for accessing the File Server.
When we log in as root, and start up Server Preferences, it says there are multiple errors, and there are no users in the Users options
The system.log is full of stuff like:
(org.openldap.slapd[1828]): Exited with exit code: 1
(org.amavis,amavisd[1829]): Exited with exit code: 1
How do we get things back to normal?

Pretty cool script here that will do what you're asking and more:
    http://www.adx-consulting.com/en/downloads.html
You can use it or learn from it to write your own. You'll want to edit the files it installs as you see fit and change the password to the archive of course. The instructions are listed during the installation. Works fine on Leopard server. By default I believe it does weekly archives but you can change it to monthly or daily depending on your needs.

  • I have a problem in imessages I can not log on

I have a problem in imessages I can not log on and update through the application.Every time you logon work shows me a message saying "The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later"

This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are many possible causes for it. Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. That could be a public Wi-Fi hotspot, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or at your ISP, not in your computer.
    Step 1
Check the status of the service. If the service is down, wait tor it to come back up. There may be a localized outage, even if the status indicator is green.
    Step 2
Restart your broadband device and your router, if different. You may have to skip this step if you don't control those devices.
    Step 3
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ About This Mac
Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. If the number is missing or obviously invalid, take the machine to an Apple Store or other authorized service center to have the problem corrected.
    Step 4
Back up all data, then take the steps suggested in this support article.
There are five steps in that article. Please take all of them. If you don't understand some of the steps or can't carry them out, ask for guidance.
    Step 5
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, make a note of them and then deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test. The result may be that you can't connect to any web server. Restore the previous settings if that happens.
    Step 6
    Select from the menu bar
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Storage
    and click
Block all sites from storing information on this computer
    Close the preference pane.
    Step 7
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.
    Step 8
Boot in safe mode and log in. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.
If iMessage worked in safe mode, but didn't work when you booted out of safe mode, stop here and post your results.
    Step 9
    Reset the NVRAM.
    Step 10
    Reinstall OS X.
    Step 11
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or contact Apple Support.

  • Wait Events "log file parallel write" / "log file sync" during CREATE INDEX

    Hello guys,
at my current project i am performing some performance tests for oracle data guard. The question is "How does a LGWR SYNC transfer influences the system performance?"
To get some performance values, that i can compare i just built up a normal oracle database in the first step.
Now i am performing different tests like creating "large" indexes, massive parallel inserts/commits, etc. to get the bench mark.
My database is an oracle 10.2.0.4 with multiplexed redo log files on AIX.
I am creating an index on a "normal" table .. i execute "dbms_workload_repository.create_snapshot()" before and after the CREATE INDEX to get an equivalent timeframe for the AWR report.
After the index is built up (round about 9 GB) i perform an awrrpt.sql to get the AWR report.
And now take a look at these values from the AWR
                                                                       Avg
                                                 %Time  Total Wait    wait     Waits
Event                                 Waits  -outs    Time (s)    (ms)      /txn
    log file parallel write              10,019     .0         132      13      33.5
    log file sync                           293     .7           4      15       1.0
    ......How can this be possible?
    Regarding to the documentation
    -> log file sync: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/waitevents003.htm#sthref3120
Wait Time: The wait time includes the writing of the log buffer and the post.-> log file parallel write: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/waitevents003.htm#sthref3104
Wait Time: Time it takes for the I/Os to complete. Even though redo records are written in parallel, the parallel write is not complete until the last I/O is on disk. This was also my understanding .. the "log file sync" wait time should be higher than the "log file parallel write" wait time, because of it includes the I/O and the response time to the user session.
I could accept it, if the values are close to each other (maybe round about 1 second in total) .. but the different between 132 seconds and 4 seconds is too noticeable.
Is the behavior of the log file sync/write different when performing a DDL like CREATE INDEX (maybe async .. like you can influence it with the initialization parameter COMMIT_WRITE??)?
Do you have any idea how these values come about?
    Any thoughts/ideas are welcome.
    Thanks and Regards

    Surachart Opun (HunterX) wrote:
    Thank you for Nice Idea.
In this case, How can we reduce "log file parallel write" and "log file sync" waited time?
CREATE INDEX with NOLOGGINGA NOLOGGING can help, can't it?Yes - if you create index nologging then you wouldn't be generating that 10GB of redo log, so the waits would disappear.
    Two points on nologging, though:
    <ul>
it's "only" an index, so you could always rebuild it in the event of media corruption, but if you had lots of indexes created nologging this might cause an unreasonable delay before the system was usable again - so you should decide on a fallback option, such as taking a new backup of the tablespace as soon as all the nologging operatons had completed.
If the database, or that tablespace, is in +"force logging"+ mode, the nologging will not work.
    </ul>
Don't get too alarmed by the waits, though. My guess is that the +"log file sync"+ waits are mostly from other sessions, and since there aren't many of them the other sessions are probably not seeing a performance issue. The +"log file parallel write"+ waits are caused by your create index, but they are happeninng to lgwr in the background which is running concurrently with your session - so your session is not (directly) affected by them, so may not be seeing a performance issue.
The other sessions are seeing relatively high sync times because their log file syncs have to wait for one of the large writes that you have triggered to complete, and then the logwriter includes their (little) writes with your next (large) write.
There may be a performance impact, though, from the pure volume of I/O. Apart from the I/O to write the index you have LGWR writting (N copies) of the redo for the index and ARCH is reading and writing the completed log files caused by the index build. So the 9GB of index could easily be responsible for vastly more I/O than the initial 9GB.

  • 'log file sync' versus 'log file prallel write'

I have been asked to run an artificial test that performs a large number of small insert-only transactions with a high degree (200) of parallelism. The COMMITS were not inside a PL/SQL loop so a 'log file sync' (LFS) event occured each COMMIT. I have measured the average 'log file parallel write' (LFPW) time by running the following PL/SQL queries at the beginning and end of a 10 second period:
    SELECT time_waited,
    total_waits
    INTO wait_start_lgwr,
    wait_start_lgwr_c
    FROM v$system_event e
    WHERE event LIKE 'log%parallel%';
    SELECT time_waited,
    total_waits
    INTO wait_end_lgwr,
    wait_end_lgwr_c
    FROM v$system_event e
    WHERE event LIKE 'log%parallel%';
I took the difference in TIME_WAITED and divided it by the difference in TOTAL_WAITS.
I did the same thing for LFS.
What I expected was that the LFS time would be just over 50% more than the LFPW time: when the thread commits it has to wait for the previous LFPW to complete (on average half way through) and then for its own.
Now I know there is a lot of CPU related stuff that goes on in LGWR but I 'reniced' it to a higher priority and could observe that it was then spending 90% of its time in LFPW, 10% ON CPU and no time idle. Total system CPU time averaged only 25% on this 64 'processor' machine.
What I saw was that the LFS time was substantially more than the LFPW time. For example, on one test LFS was 18.07ms and LFPW was 6.56ms.
When I divided the number of bytes written each time by the average 'commit size' it seems that LGWR is writing out data for only about one third of the average number of transactions in LFS state (rather than the two thirds that I would have expected). When the COMMIT was changed to COMMIT WORK NOWAIT the size of each LFPW increased substantially.
These observations are at odds with my understanding of how LGWR works. My understanding is that when LGWR completes one LFPW it begins a new one with the entire contents of the log buffer at that time.
Can anybody tell me what I am missing?
P.S. Same results in database versions 10.2 Sun M5000 and 11.2 HP G7s.

    WHERE event LIKE 'log%parallel%';

  • I can't log into iCloud using system preferences using Apple Id

Hello comunity: I describe the problem as follows (sorry for my english, not a native speaker):
Background: Macbook air OS X 10.9 Mavericks (just updated), but changed my Apple ID just after that.
-When I try to log into Icloud through System Preferences, and write my Apple ID and password, it says "the login keychain is not found" and then it tells me that the server is down and can´t connect. (I have verified my Apple ID and password and can login through the website with no problem, and I have verified that the Icloud server is fine).
-It won´t let me go any further than that, It means I cant use Icloud in my Mac. I can access to Icloud online, but when online I don´t see my mac but I can see my Iphone and Ipad 2.
-I have read many (a lot really) about keychains and similar problems and cant find the solution.
    I would appreciate your help!
PD: Other information that might be related: When entering to First Aid Keychain, I provide my password and when I hit "repair" it will tell me "...library/keychains/login.keychain is not a valid keychain file and that repair stopped unexpectedly"

I think that  is likely why you're having the problems with signing in. My keychain has been added to over many years. It has email addresses from 1997. I don't know how to clean that up. It would be nice if Apple redesigned Keychain Access to be something that actually allowed you to envisage their network. That's what bothered me about iCloud Keychain. There are so many places to change settings, type a password, and think about what that setting means. Knowledgable people who can manage a network from the Terminal, good for you. I want to launch software that finds all servers, and paints a good connection green and trouble yellow, etc. Hover your mouse over a red drive, it tells you the password needs. I think this is good enough implementation, except it is difficult for people who've never had a cryptography class to get a good idea of what their network topography is. Tell me, can you log on to iCloud.com on Safari?
I'll hang around here to see if somebody else gives a suggestion. Sorry I can't do more.

  • Can't log into main account and vanished files...?

    Hello forums.
Last night I was trying to get rid of some junk on my computer, emptying a lot of files in my Trash. Cleaned up my desktop... everything going smoothly. Turned off the computer.
I realized there was something fishy this morning when I turned my imac (tiger) on, logged onto my main account(admin), and my desktop was the default aqua wallpaper. My dock was still personalized and my documents were still there. Still I went ahead and created another user account under "Budiana" with admin power... so now I have total three users, the Admin (under my real name), Budiana, and my dad's.
I did fiddle around with changing the names, but not the short names... I think that might've caused the problem. I'm a bit of a noob with computers in general...
Anyway, now I can't log back into my main account. The message says "You cannot log in as ___ at this time." and the box "shakes" at me. So now I've resorted to using my second account. Looking in Finder, under Users, I see the three accounts, but none of all my files that exist under the admin. But looking at the bottom of the finder window : 168Gb available disk space, with a total of about 236Gb memory, I don't think my files are actually lost, just vanished somewhere!
I've taken a look at the "lost" home directory support document on the apple website, and tried it, but nothing seems to work. I'm also a little lost..
I've tried resetting the passwords for all accounts using the Tiger disk, but to no avail.
    Please help! Thanks a lot.

Well, that account has 40gig of information somewhere.
I see only two folders desktop & library. Maybe something is hidden. See point 3.
    1) I suggest you do a total backup of your machine or at least /Users.
Here are two utilities for making a complete backup of your internal hard drive. I've recommend using one of these so that you can create a bootable system on your external hard drive. ( PPC require a firewire connected drive. ) Once created, you can run your system from the external drive. Hold down the option key on your keyboard then power on your machine. This will bring you in startup manager click on the drive image you wish to boot then click on the arrow key to the right.

"SuperDuper is the wildly acclaimed program that makes recovery painless, because it makes creating a fully bootable backup painless."

You need an external Firewire drive to boot a PowerPC Mac computer.
I recommend you do a google search on any external harddrive you are looking at.
I bought a low cost external drive enclosure. When I started having trouble with it, I did a google search and found a lot of complaints about the drive enclosure. I ended up buying a new drive enclosure. On my second go around, I decided to buy a drive enclosure with a good history of working with Macs. The chip set seems to be the key ingredient. The Oxford line of chips seems to be good. I got the Oxford 911.
The latest the hard drive enclosures support the newer serial ata drives. The drive and closure that I list supports only older parallel ata.
    Has everything interface:
    FireWire 800/400 + USB2, + eSATA 'Quad Interface'
    save a little money interface:
    FireWire 400 + USB 2.0

    # mv is move or rename
    mv -i the-name the-new-name
    # You can just rename the file back to what it was with mv command.
    mv -i old-name new-name
Here is what these commands mean:
    cd is change directory
pwd is a print working directory
    ls is list
    sudo is Super user do
    mv is move or rename
For cryptic comments, you can always uses the manual command which is man. For example:
    man mv
    # Type the letter q to quit.
I noticed that you had spaces in your filenames or directories. You need to escape them. See examples:
    mac $ ls -l ~/"see it"
    -rw-r--r-- 1 mac staff 3171 Oct 26 23:38 /Users/mac/see it
    mac $
    mac $ cd /Users/mac/Desktop/ttt\ html\ copy/
Do you know about tabing? Type in a few letters of a name then press the tab key. The computer will type out the rest of the name if it is unique.
    How you ignore permissions.
    Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal
    sudo ls
change what is in quotes to the name of your program. You need to run this from an administrator account and you will be asked for your administrator password. Type it in. the password will not show. Press return when done.
You can put yourself in root & forget about permission problems via:
    sudo bash
    type:
    exit
    when done.
Be careful. I you limit yourself to the ls & cd commands you cannot cause trouble.
    3) Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal
    # Show hidden files & folders in finder
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE   ;killall Finder
    # Normal display.  Hide hidden files & folders in finder
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE  ;killall Finder
    4) finding large files...
    Run
    OmniDiskSweeper
"The simple, fast way to save disk space"
    OmniDiskSweeper is now free!
    http://www.omnigroup.com/applications/omnidisksweeper/download/
This will give you a list of files and folders sorted by size. Go after things you know that are big.

  • Can I grant permission to write in specific attributes using security groups

    Hi
I Created GPO that write the computer name in the one of the user attribute "comment attribute " when  he logged on
then i went to OU and grant self delegate permissions to allow the users of that OU to write on "comment attribute
but this did not work for the users how have been disabled form inheritance
so instead of grant delegate permissions to the OU
Can I grant permission to write in specific attribute "comment attribute " using security groups "Domain User "??

    Hi,
Open Active Directory Users and Computers.
On the View menu, select Advanced Features.
Right-click the object for which you want to assign, change, or remove permissions, and then click Properties.
On the Security tab, click Advanced to view all of the permission entries that exist for the object.
To assign new permissions on an object or attribute, click Add.
Type the name of the group, computer, or user that you want to add, and then clickOK.
In the Permission Entry for ObjectName dialog
box, on the Object and Properties tabs,
select or clear the Allow or Deny check
    boxes, as appropriate.

  • I forgot passcode to my iPad... Now it is disabled, how can I log back in I don't remember it?

I forgot passcode to my iPad now it is disabled, how can I log back in ?

You can't log back in without restoring your iPad now.
You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you cannot restore that way, you may have to use recovery mode

You may want to write your password down and lock it away somewhere - that you will not forget!
