I can't log into secure websites on my iPad

When ever I go to web sites that require a login like my bank, investmant house or other sites, I can't log in. I can get to the site, enter my user name and password same as on my desk tops and lap top, but I can't log in. What is the problem? Do I have something wrong on the set-up?

I've never had such a problem myself, but I do recall posts from users who couldn't log into their banks. Turns out the login procedure involved flash, and as we all know, the iPad doesn't do flash.
If it turns out your financial institutions do use flash for login, be sure to communicate with them, asking them to modernize to HTML5 or anything else that doesn't rely on flash.
Hmm... I don't quite follow the last part of your post. You can enter username and password, but can't log in? What happens after entering username and password?

Why can I log into some websites on my MacBook Pro and not on my MacPro?

Only just started happening...I have used 3 different browsers on my MacPro and still can't log into some webpages where a password is required.
Flickr, eBay, some on line shopping sites....
i have deleted cookies, cache, history, everything. Reinstalled the application (Firefox and Safari) but nothing.
Go to my new MacBook Pro and it connects..
I plan to do a full combo download and install of 10.6.8 however can't work out what's broken? I use Virus Barrier and MacScan but have (I believe) turned them off.

Have turned off MacScan.
No improvement as yet.
P.S. Not sure how MacScan and Virus Barrier X would interact as they seem to do different things... I got both of these as apps in bundles so didnt really specifically buy them.
I can't see any proxy setting in network preferences so will need to go into virus barrier and check.
Reading the "recommended text" on Virus's for homework.
Tomorrow it will be Appzapper for them both if the patient shows no sign of improvement.

Can't log into facetime or iMessage on iPad

I am sorry to be posting this question again. I have read many other threads on this matter. I have verified my apple ID, I have changed DNS settings, I have set the date and time to automatic, I have hard reset. I'm at a loss and very frustrated. If anyone could help me figure out why I cannot log into FaceTime or iMessage on my iPad, I would greatly appreciate it.

I can successfully log into this website but when i try to open messages or test results from the menu I am immediately kicked out saying session timed out.

I called the customer support line for website. They had me try to open using Internet Explorer, and it works perfectly fine.
I recently changed from Windows 7 to Windows 8, and am back to Windows 7 again via system recovery discs. I did not have this problem with the website using Firefox prior to switching and switching back. Is there some sort of security setting that I am missing? I am not having any problems using other login and password protected sites that I use.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

I can no longer log into any websites on my ipad 2.

If I try to long into pinterest, paypal, facebook, my bank... It doesn't matter the site... if it requires a log in - when I input my information, it just kicks me right back to the login screen like I've entered nothing at all.
It wasn't like that until about 1 month into use...
I've tried switching from wi-fi to 3G... that doesn't make a difference.
I am assuming that something got changed somehow... but I don't know what to switch it back....

The me.com website is not designed for or intended to be accessed by iOS devices. Apple provides support in iOS or seperate Apps for accessing all aspects of MobileMe except for the Accounts section.
Use MobielMe as intended and you'll have no problems.

Even if you use a different browser to get access to me.com on iOS, you'll find most of it is unusable.
Other websites that present you with the mobile version have been programmed to do so by their developers. They specifically look for users accessing from 'mobile' devices and switch to the mobile site. Many such sites provide a link to go back to the 'full' site, if not, there's not a lot you can do except use a browser that can pretend not to be a mobile browser.

Your post is somewhat confusing. To restore your iPad you use the iTunes application on your computer and connect your iPad. Select your iPad in the left column of iTunes on your computer and select General in the right column. You should find the restore choice there.

I can't log into icloud from my Windows 8 PC, but I can from my Windows XP PC

I had my old Vista PC upgraded to Windows 8. I just tried to log into www.icloud.com, but after entering my username and my password nothing happens. No errors, nor messages. Fortunately, I can remotely log into my work PC which is a Windows XP. Logging in is no problem at all for my XP. I get in and do what I need to do. This would seem to eliminate a server issue.
Is the icloud website not available for Windows 8?

I want to turn autofill off - I can't log into a site because autocomplete keeps putting in the wrong text.

I want to log into a website using a user name, lets say 'john' but the auto-complete feature keeps changing my entry to 'John.'
I don't want 'John' -- I need 'john' to enter the site, but I cannot see a way of turning the autocomplete feature off. Frankly at this point I would prefer to always have autocomplete off and just fill in user names and passwords individually.
How do I turn off autocomplete?

Make sure that you haven't saved Uppercase and Lowercase versions of that name and password.
Remove saved Password(s): Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

Well, now I'm confused. I've been hearing a lot about Instagram, so I decided to see what it's all about. I got stuck when the Istagram site kept telling me that either my Username or password was incorrect. In fact, I came here because of that. I wanted to see if anyone else had had such a problem with Instagram. Now it looks like you're saying that Mac owners cannot fully use Instagram. By the way, part of my process for obtaining Instagram was typing in "visual group" in the search bar for Mac apps. Don't ask me why, those were the instructions I saw on YouTube. Perhaps there's a better way. If you know of one plese let me know.
