I can't login from the desktop app - "Login error. Please contact the Admin."

1) Does anyone have the same problem as described below?
2) Does anyone know how to fix it?
When I try to "work online" from the desktop app, I get asked to log out of offline, then log into online. When I put in my username and password, it gives me the error "Login error. Please contact the Admin." I've clicked the link "Trouble logging in?" and followed instructions to reset my password, which I successfully reset to a new one. I still get the error.
I have a subscription to Adobe Story Plus and am working offline/online using the desktop app. I haven't logged in to sync my documents in about a month. My account is in good standing (paid 2 weeks ago according to my account transactions screen).  I'm now trying to collaborate, so it's important that I be able to sync. 
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your response. I've resolved the problem myself, and you may be
interested to know how in case it happens again with another user - I
thought maybe it was a versioning discrepancy and I was right (I assume).
However, I couldn't update my desktop software (or I couldn't figure out
how to update it) until I rebooted my machine, then Story went into an
auto-update sequence.
After it updated, it logged in and sync'd just fine. Classic "help"
question where the answer basically was: reboot. I shouldn't tried that
before I posted!

    Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:

    Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
    Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
    Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

  • I can't install. Says I don't have permissions to certain items. It won't update from 4 to 5. I can open 5 from my desktop but it won't update the older version with all the bookmarks.

    What else do you want. I drop it in Apllications and it won't update. Say I don't have permission (on my own damn vcompouter) what's with that?

    If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
    Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded

    Try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) drop-down menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app, click the arrow to the left of it, click the 'Report a Problem' button :
    and then the 'Report a Problem' link on its line :
    and select 'inadvertently purchased' as the problem and fill in the details (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).

Microsoft is discontinuing Modern Skype on July 7 thus creating the following inconveniences for Windows 8.1 tablet users connected with using the Desktop app: The Desktop app is blurry due to the DPI issuesThe app slides off the screen if the app is maximized and the user scrolls to the end of any listUsers need to use the desktop virtual keyboard which is subpar in numerous aspectsUsers who primarily use the Modern part of Windows 8.1 are forced to use the desktop environmentThere is no way to see any Skype notifications without going to the Desktop which, again, the tablet users don't do very often or don't do at all Every single one of the abovementioned issues isn't minor by any means. That's why the Windows Store applications have been introduced after all. So the easiest solution for both parties is to not kill the Modern Skype app as it continues to live on Windows RT devices. As for Windows 10 upgrade and getting a new Skype universal app (if any, in the future), it does not seem to be well optimized for tablets yet so it is better to stay with very good Windows 8.1 for a while.

    I cannot access any of my CC apps due to a download error with the Creative Cloud desktop app.  In the CC desktop app, under the 'Apps' tab, I should be seeing all my downloadable/updatable/etc CC apps, but I am instead presented with 'Download Error' and a link to Adobe's troubleshooting page.   I have un/re-installed the desktop app several times, restarted, deleted the AAM folder as suggested on forums, same with the OOBE folder contents, nothing is working.  PLEASE ASSIST.
