I can't login to support communities under my own user name

I can't login to support communities under my own user name. I was first asked to verify my ID. Then asked to enter a user name. I entered my name and was told it was AVAILABLE, however I was then told it was UNavailable. I have posted various questions in the past and can still google them.
Frustrating:
1. Can't login
2. Can't ask for help
3. Had to create new user so I can ask for help
4. No forum to address for help
Where can I go to get this fixed, or should I just not bother?

I had the same problem, "Access Denied. You do not have permission to access this page." Like the previous poster, I was able to sign in using IE but not FF. Your solution fixed my problem. I found the value under about:config:
"network.http.sendRefererHeader"
After changing the value to 2 I am now able to login to "support.Mozilla.com" using Firefox 3.6.16.

iCloud email addresses can't be changed or deleted, but you can set up an alias namethat he can use which will be linked to his current iCloud account and will receive email in the existing iCould inbox. This guide explains how: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2622.

I recently received an ipad2 and when I tried to sync using separate apple and iTunes passwords, under her computer user name, it appears I over-road her account and synced all her apps with my apps on my iPad. I then set myself up as a new user on our computer and tried to sync. I now get the error that my iPad is synced to another library. How can I start over without erasing all my data on the iPad?

Go back to her login. Unless you deliberately erased apps, they should all be there, both yours and hers! Then, you need to set up each iPad separately. You will notice that they have separate names for that very purpose.
There is no problem with multiple Apple IDs on the same iTunes on the same computer except... Apps are permanently associated with the ID that was originally used to obtain them. If you choose to update an app from inside iTunes and you're logged into the "wrong" ID, you must log out and back in again.
On the bright side, you can configure either or both iPads to sync with apps and music and movies, etc. from either or both IDs. Further, if you choose to update the apps from the iPads themselves, there is no need to log out/in. The device handles that. All you need is the correct password. In my case, I use the same password for both IDs to make things easier.

So how do I use software or applications with a lot of data like Quicken under my own user account? I wanted to be able to manage my own itunes library, iphone apps, messages. But I still really need to use the Stuff I have in Quicken essentials. I don't want to have to restart all my work done in Quicken already.

I haven't used Quicken in a while, but most applications store your files in your Documents folder. Is that where your Quicken data file is? What you do next depends on how many family members need to get at that data.
If multiple family members need to use the Quicken data file, try moving it to the Documents folder in the Shared account. That is an account that all accounts can see. It's at the same level as the other accounts. In other words, Shared is one level up from your Home account, or Hard Drive/Users/Shared.
If you're the only one allowed to see that Quicken data, move the Quicken data file from the old main account to your account, and don't leave a copy behind. You can use the Shared folder as a way station for the transfer since you won't be able to see both accounts' Documents folders at the same time (because you're not allowed to peek into other people's accounts). Or you can use another disk or server for the transfer, as long as you can get to it when logged into either account.

Hmmmm... would appear that you need to be actually logged in to enable the additional menu features.
Have you tried deletting the plists for MAS?

ITunes 10.0 does not recognize my iPhone under my main user name

iTunes 10.0 doesn't recognize my iPhone when I am logged in under my main user name. It also freezes frequently and takes a very, very long time to open (it does recognize my iPod). However, if I log in as a different user, iTunes works fine; it recognizes my iPhone right away, opens quickly and doesn't freeze.
All of my important stuff is stored under my main user name so I need to get iTunes to work when I am logged in under that. I have all administrator privileges/access.
Does anyone know what this means and what, if anything, I can do to fix it? I have uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes multiple times, checked the USB ports, updated software, drivers and everything else Apple recommends.

Songs purchased under a different user name and transfrered to a new computer.

I have several hundred tunes that were purchsed from itunes under a different user name and password and email. I have transfered those to a newer computer and have the library. When I try to play (some) of them (not all) it says to authorize my current computer but when I do it still does not let me play them. I simply want to select many and download to my iphone from the library. What do I need to do?

You have to use the same old Apple ID and password.
NOTE: All content bought using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.

Two Apple IDs, can't log into Support Communities with newest one

Hi, I have an old Apple ID (very old, actually, from the earliest date of being able to have one) and a new Apple ID that I want to use for access to the support community.
Problem: I cannot access the support community with my new ID.
I can access it with my old ID. That's how I accessed the support communities to post this request for help.
This is what happens:
I go to Support --> Communities
I enter my newer Apple ID
I enter my correct passwordNote - I use this combination on iTunes for purchases all the time. It works. This isn't a password issue.
I then get asked to establish a sceen name.
I enter a name that (finally) hasn't been taken by someone else and click the button at the bottom of the screen, to continue.
An error message returns stating that there is another account using that e-mail address (my newer Apple ID).
I can never get past this error message using my newer Apple ID.
The system won't let me log in using my new Apple ID. It says my new Apple ID - which is a .mac account e-mail - is already used by someone else. But that someone else is me. I'm not trying to replace my new ID, I'm not trying to alter the password on my new Apple ID, I just can't get past the step where the system rejects any and all attempts to create a screen name associated with my newer Apple ID.
Something's messed up. I just want to use my newer Apple ID and pretty much forget about the older one.

I have in the past "Created" a Support Communities "Alias" for at least one if not two @mac.com accounts
I have create a number of @mac.com accounts as "iChat Names" as the @mac.com registration Page advertised them as during the MobileMe period.
I have checked one on the Apple ID page and logged in (I had to change the password first)
It seems the one I checked had only the @mac.com address and no alternative email address.
(I am sure if I used this one in Messages it would cause problems.)
I am sure another required me to set up an alternative email and that required me to remove one of my three external emails from another ID.
I would still use the "Contact iTunes Support" link to see if they can sort it out.

Cannot log onto Apple Support Communities under established Apple ID

I had to create a new Apple ID (one I have neither desire nor intention to use) in order to get back on to the Support Forum. When I log in with my old established Apple ID it prompts me to choose a user name--then I get caught in this ****-loop where it refuses any user name I give it and keeps kicking me back to the log in screen. Attached is a screen shot of the offending error message.
Anyone know what to do about this?

I ran into this one a while back. Turned out that I was trying to log in using the incorrect Apple ID. Actually what I was trying to use was my Apple Support Communities username instead of the Apple ID. I bet if you use the old Apple ID at the initial login, it will work for you.

I can't set up Time Machine---Help! What "User Name" and password do I use

I finally got the Time Capsule and installed Leopard, but now that I'm trying to set up Time Machine, it's asking for a user name and password. I've entered the admin user name and password to my computer with no luck, then tried the name of the Time Capsule and the password for that, no luck there either. What the heck is it looking for? Hey, I got left and right confused late one night No problem.
I mentioned it only because I once used that software and only because I checked it before upgrading to Leopard did I realize it didn't work too well, even with Tiger.
LaCie makes great hardware, but in the software area they are a bit soft.

Can't login to https pages under kids' 'parental controlled' account

I'm trying to login to Netflix under my kids' account. It's parental controlled and only certain applications are allowed, web filtering is on, etc. On trying to login, however, I get "can't establish secure connection to the server..."
Firefox does the same thing; says "the connection was interrupted while loading"
What parental control parameter is causing this? Its also true for other sites, like my bank, etc.

Can't Login to VZW Communities from my BB Tour 9630

It is very frustrating when I'm away from my PC and i get a notification on my BB of a new VZW post. I can click on the link in the email to view the post, but when I click on Reply it takes me to the VZW login screen. I type in my login and password but the submit button is non-functional on my BB. Nothing happens. It just stays there at the login screen. Is it a browser setting?

Are the Verizon forums showing up in the mobile version on your device, or as it appears on your desktop in full version? Your browser should by default try to load the mobile version. You can scroll to the very bottom of the page and find the link at the bottom right to change to mobile if so. I use the mobile version of the forums and it is very smooth and fast. Another thing to check, after you first open your Blackberry browser, press the Menu key and select Options>Browser Configuration. Make sure Browser identfication is set to Blackberry. That should help also. Let me know if these things do not work for you.
