I can't logon iTunes following recent update

Have done everything, including Reset and Restart and turning on and off the power..  I just get the message "cannot connet to Itunes Store".  I can logon to icould, so no problem generally with connection (ethernet).  Anyone else having this issue?

If you are logging into iCloud on another device then that doesn't rule out a network issue.
If you haven't, reboot router and make sure it's up to date. Go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC) to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

  • How can I open iTunes after recent update 01/25/2014

After installing the recent update for iTunes,  I can't open iTunes.  Tried to uninstall/reinstais missing, with same results.  I have received several error messages:  MSVCR80.dill is missing.  Please re-install, error 7 Windows error (126).
When will this corrupted download be fixed?  I can't access iTunes at all.

    Do the following:
Uninstall from Windows the following four programs: iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour and Apple Application Support. You do this from an applet in Control Panel called Programs & Features (in Windows 8, 7, or Vista) or Add or Remove Programs (in Windows XP).
Download the latest version of iTunes from Apple and note the location you're saving it to so you can find it once it's done.
Run the iTunes installation as an administrator, just Right click iTunes installer and Run as Administrator.

Subsequently resored system from before update but hasnt worked.Still no access to ITunes

Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates
Under normal circumstances, an uninstall/reinstall doesn't touch your content. (That being said, it's still always a good idea to maintain a current backup at all times in case of disasters of any sort.)

  • When updating my apps it stoped half way through and won't start so now I can not use the app recently updated it to ios7

and won't start so now I can not use the app recently updated it to ios7 I have tried turn the device on and off still hasn't work and I would like to actually use my apps and I can not download new apps

    If the apps are waiting:
Fix iOS Apps Stuck on “Waiting…” During Download & Install
    Otherwise:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Download the apps to your computer and sysnc
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

  • I can not contact itunes store to update alication

    hi,
i can not contact itunes store with my iphone to update application

Im having a problem when in App Store and trying to download a game i keep getting error message saying "Can Not Connect to iTunes Store" since last night. Spent hours on the phone this afternoon with Tech Support since only 3 days old my iPad3, only to have him have me doing a restore after backing everything up...once off the phone i noticed the Restore wouldnt even work on my PC, saying an unknown error has occured. I am dreading having to call back and spend the next few hours on the phone with them on a brand new product. If still having problems going back to Apple Store in the local mall where hubby bought it for my bday present 5 days ago and will be demanding a brand new one... why should i have to restore a brand new product that was barely used during the past 3 days to factory settings..to me it is a product defect and want a new one since its brand new!! just thought id let you know what Apple Tech Support was having me do with basically same message. Good Luck.

  • HT1923 I can´t reinstall itunes. I updated and after downloading the latest version and installing it the error message: "apple aplication support was not found. it is required to run itunes. uninstall and install again. Error 2

I bought an iphone 4s. After plugging it via usb to my computer itunes demanded to update version to 10.3 or higher. I uninstalled itunes, downloaded latest version (11.0.2) and during installation process on "activating services" it shows error message: "installation failed, verify administrator priviliges" which i have because i sign in as my pc administrator. I click on ignore and it tells me itunes has been succesfully instaled but when i try to run it it shows the error message: "apple application support was not found. It is required to run itunes. Uninstall and install itunes again. (which i have done several times) error 2 (windows error 2)." Someone please help me with this problem. Thanks.

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Can't install iTunes 10.7 update

When I try to install the iTunes 10.7 update, both through Apple update and manually, partway through installation I get a message stating that installation cannot continue because I don't have administrator privileges.  I only have one account on this PC (HP running Windows Vista), and it is the administrator.  Another note, possibly unrelated, iTunes has been running fine until the last week or so; it miraculously dissapeared from my computer I think after the last Windows update.  I had to restore my system and reinstall iTunes from an installation file I saved from July or so.  How do I overcome this problem with the administrator privileges?

And right-clicking the installation file and using "Run as administrator" gives me the same result

  • Can't enter iTunes store after update to iTunes 10.4.1.10

This is a horrible update! After I update iTunes to 10.4.1.10 on my computer, I can't access to the store home page, it's just keep loading with a white blank page. I could access to my account page but all the other pages are blank. Someone please help!

My sister told me not to update iTunes because most likely it will ruin things instead of improving, I didn't listen cause I think Apple must be providing some new features and improvement in the update, that's what an update for, isn't it? However, after this update I am really afraid now to do the next one, who knows what will happen next? I read post that 2 years ago people already had this "access to the iTunes store" problem after iTunes update, and 2 years later Apple still have the same problem in their update, consider a smart company like Apple can't even figure this out, this is unbelievable! For those of you who would like to try reinstalling, be sure to follow the instruction step by step at the link below. Just a reminder, uninstall iTunes only is not going to work cause there are still related files hidden in the computer, so it's necessary to uninstall all the Apple related programs. Hope everyone can fix this annoying problem somehow.

The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory:
    C:\Program Files\Quick Time.
The installation cannot continue. Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator.
Does anyone know what the problem may be?
In addition, I can no longer use itunes, or QuickTime. I get the same popup message as referenced above.

I am having this same problem. Has anyone found a solution?

  • I can't access iTunes Store to update apps

When I try to update apps I get the message that I iTunes Store cannot be connected to. I have full wifi, no problems with Internet or mail. When I search the store for apps, they appear. Just can't buy or update.

Sometimes this works for that issue but YMMV.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.
And you can try Apple's troubleshooting steps.

Close the App Store app and the iTunes app by pressing the Home button twice, and swiping them up.

  • Can't Exit ITUNES 7.7 update

Has anyone had this problem and found a resolve? Since updating to ITUNES 7.7 I have been unable to exit ITUNES except via ctr-alt-del, Task Manager, End Task. Pressing the “ X” button or going to Files- Exit freezes all controls, though the cursor continues to move normally. 1) I did a clean uninstall through Control Panel of ITUNES and also QuickTime then reinstalled from a fresh download of 7.7 – same problem continued. 2) I did a Windows Repair of ITUNES through Control Panel – problem continued. 3) I ran the ITUNES diagnosis option on ITUNES – no problem found but this problem continued. 4) I reinstalled on top of 7.7 – problem continues. 5) I submitted a bug report but to Support but no answer from Apple. Thank you for any constructive potential solutions.

If you don't have an iPhone or iTouch, try deleting AppleMobileDevice Helper from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Those are XP directions - it would be similar for Vista.
It worked for me, no more iTunes hanging on close, and I can sync my older iPods fine.

  • HT1926 I can't download itunes, everything else updates fine. But when I try to download itunes, it says 'itunes64.misc (or whatever) pathway isn't found' I can't delete itunes or update it. Help? :(

    I've tried EVERYTHING.
I just need some assistance, my intelligence isn;t going to cut this one alone. Help please!

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

You don't need to uninstall AMDS, just restart the service:
    Windows Vista or Windows 7
Close iTunes and disconnect the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Click the Windows Start button .
In the Start Search field type Services.
In the Programs section of the search results, Click "Services".
Select Apple Mobile Device and click Stop the service as shown below:
After the service has stopped, click Start the service.
After the Apple Mobile Device service has started again, open iTunes and connect the device.
