I can't make or receive voice calls on my 5s but facetime and messaging works

I have checked all the obvious things like airplane mode and phone settings. Outgoing calls I only get silence and after a minute or so it says the call failed. When I call the phone it rings properly to the caller and then goes to voice mail, without the phone ringing.

I know this issue is important to fix bane321. Are you connected to wifi? Try resetting your network settings by pressing Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings > Enter the 4-digit passcode > Tap Reset network settings. I also want you to make sure you have the latest software on your device. Is there any damage to the phone? Keep us posted.

I have a data connection but I can't make or receive phone calls or texts

I have a 3G data connection on my iPhone 5 at home, but I can't make or receive phone calls or messages.. I can surf the Internet though. I talked to a sprint representative and we went over everything and couldn't figure it out. Can some one plz help with this issue???

Phone and messages is a carrier issue. Sprint needs to check your account to make sure it is set up correctly. If everything looks good on their end, then do a reset on the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, try it.

It sounds like EE haven't quite set up your SIM card yet. Give it till tomorrow if it's still not working give customer services call.

Just about 25 days back with Verizon and my iphone says I have full bars yet and can't make or receive a call or text from my house this started this week same issue with my moms razr phone as well. I sent the support email a message love the well get back to you in 24hrs. Well 24hrs passed I called nice girl answered I explained I already did the *228 and that I actually did a hard master reset wiped the phone and settings clean updated the IOS to 4.2.10 then something about the phones software I guess I'm running 1.0.5 or something old she tells me I should have received a text on how to upgrade I told her the only texts I received from Verizon were my bill is due and another thanking me for my payment. We went through toggling stuff off and on for about 30 mins and testing outbound calls to #832 I put it on speaker told her its saying calling and call failed over and over again then she said she thinks she sees the problem but doesn't have access to fix it and needs to put me on hold. She picked back up conferenced the call and I went over steps taken with the gentleman I explained that when I was on hold I got flooded with SMS texts so it was going to work now that's the only way I know when I have service is when every text sent to me comes rushing in at once. He then checked to see if calls I made were hitting the server I provided numerous telephone numbers I attempted to call that failed I explained my mother is having exact issue and another friend that was in my area of Friday provided the other people having issues cell numbers and I was told a tech would look into it in 4 days I made sure I asked for network ticket #. Initially I thought this was only happening at night but today I attempted calls in the am same thing. The reps were very nice. Just under 30days back and so far not so good I've had them in the past never an issue my mom and dad past 9 years never an issue until recently. Anyone else in Massachusetts having this issue. I don't want to leave Verizon because generally there coverage is better in New England then the others I've tried in past 3 years.

It sound more like a capacity problem on your local mobile phone cell site, especially the system busy message. Have you tried your mobile phone at a different location, on a different cell site?

We take this very seriously because just like you I use my cell phone for everything and recently eliminated my home phone. I would love to help you with this issue, so lets get started. I show you are in an area that has great coverage. I do show multiple customers have reported issues in your area and a few weeks ago, it shows the issue was resolved. You advised that you cant get calls inside your home. Have you always had signal issues inside the home? If you step outside your door, can you make a call, send text, or access data related functions at all? Have you tried to power cycle the devices or perform a master reset. I bought my iPhone 6 plus the day it came out and I loved it! Until yesterday at around 9:30pm I was unable to make or receive phone calls. I am with Verizon and the 1x shows where lte should be. I've been on the phone with Verizon's tech support for two hours. Anyone else have this issue or know of a fix?

I thought so to KiltedTim. However it is communicating with Verizon's network and they have no known issues in the area.

I'm sorry, but we had made so many changes (the Advisor and I) and it was only after I shared y home screen with him that he had me disable my anti-virus firewall....and everything worked fine afterwards. We went through a number of steps including removing a number of neighbors wifi signals and most important was the changing of the wifi channels.If anyone is using an Anti-virus program, I would suggest that they disable the firewall and then see if their devices connect to the same wifi.

When your phone was stolen, did you suspend or cancel your service with your phone company? If so did you re-activate it when you got your phone back?

I have not tried that...I will look up the process so that I can do it correctly (and still transfer all of my files, contacts, etc). Any suggestions? What is the advantage of restoring as a new device..is this more akin to a complete wipe of a hard drive?

Making sure you can use your phone when you need it is certainly a concern of every consumer.
