I'm using MacBook Pro 13in Early 2011 and recent update to Mavericks, I cant open any application on my mac. There is an updates on app store but I can't use them cause the app store refuse to open. When I open any apps they just flicker on the dock and nothing. What to do apart from formating my computor again?

Can't open CC apps on second mac

Hi I'm having problems with my CC apps. I've tried contacting support twice but so far no solution has been offered.
Basically whenever I try opening any CC app on my secondary mac the application manager pops up and says "Sign in required" and then it list terms for trial software - although im a paying subscriber. Then once I sign in the application manager shuts down and the CC app icon bounce in the dock, but shuts down and the application manager opens the same window as beore asking me to sign in. This happens again and again and the CC app never opens up.
It used to work fine on both my macs up until a week ago, I had to sign in every time I switched from one mac to the other, but It worked. No only the CC desktop works. None of the apps.
I've tried a ton of things: deleted the OOBE/opm.dm file from both libraries, I've cleared the SLCcache and made sure permissions are set right for all users in SLSstore, and the Adobe folders. I've updated the application manager to latest version numerous times, cleared the mac form all CC apps and used the CC cleaner. Re-installed the CC apps, signed out, signed in - changed my password - I even created a new mac user account - so far nothing has resolved the issue - and I'm litterally going mad - as I need these apps to complete my assignments - hence why I'm a CC subscriber. It's ironic how I'm paying for this "service" and I can't use it.
Any suggestions?

I can't open Pages app on iMac

Hi all, I can't open Pages app on my computer. These are the specs:
iMac 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5, 4GB, 2/3 of a TB free storage capacity,
Yosemite version 10.10.2
Originally I had iWork 09 and since I've been updating from the app store since they are available in there. Now version 5.5.2
I wanted to create a new document and explore the templates available for it but when I click the icon of the Pages app or the name in the Finder apps list, it won't open, instead it opens another window for me to choose what I want to open -see pic below-, and as you can see from the light gray color I can't choose the app from there.
I open the app store to see if I needed to update it and it is already done. So I don't know what to do... Can anybody help please? Thanks

If one clicks that extreme left icon, the Favorites panel disappears, leaving the Application view we see posted. Additionally, the OP has the
Finder Preferences ▸ Advanced ▸ All My Files checked, instead of their login directory (house icon).
This just adds to the mayhem. Once Finder Preferences is fixed, then the OP can click Applications, and from that lengthy menu, select their login directory, or Documents.
Why the OP did not just click New Document and review the bundled templates, is a question mark. Or click Launchpad in the Dock, to launch Pages.

Try downloading another app - any free app - that seems to reset something and the apps may start working again. Try that first. If that doesnt work, try these steps
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Close all apps. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

First try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If it does then make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

Can't open contacts app on my Macbook. I thought upgrading to Yosemite would fix the problem, it did not. The error message I get when trying to open Contacts:

On iPhone there is not a FaceTime app just simply tap phone go to contacts at the bottom then tap the add button on the top right hand corner fill in their details if an iPad 2 or iPod Touch 4G enter in their email if iPhone enter in their number. To Check wether FaceTime is enabled Go Settings -> Phone -> FaceTime. Is it On or Off? To FaceTime the contact just simply Go<Selected Contact<Look Below > Tap FaceTime

It sounds like you might have accidently copied Chess over from an Intel Mac, or an Intel Mac's installer DVD. The architecture typically means it is designed uniquely for either Intel or PowerPC. Be sure to extract Chess from the 10.5 Retail installer disc that looks like * and not any other disk. http://www.charlessoft.com/ 's Pacifist lets you extract individual applications from installers without having to reinstall everything.
