I can't open FF, mozilla crasher reporter always pops in

after installing windows update for 2 hours FF won't open..

Sometimes the Firefox window gets "off screen" somehow. You often can force it to appear on the screen by right-clicking the little thumbnail image above the Taskbar and choosing Maximize. Does that work?

When I try to open Firefox, Mozilla Crash Reporter comes up and says "Firefox had a problem and crashed." "We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts." I've tried restarting the computer several times. It was working fine yesterday.

Mozilla Crash Reporter keeps popping up forever even after disabling "BreakPad" via application.ini

I've edited the registry using regedit, changed the DWORD entries of CrashReporter/SubmitCrashReport to 0. Edited application.ini file "enable=0" etc, etc. Reinstalled numerous times. Ran CCleaner numerous times. Tried a system restore. Nothing seems to kill off this highly frustrating Crash Reporter pop-up window. All I get is occasionally it gives me an option to use safe mode. Generally I get no-where. Turns what was once my favourite and best browser into the absolute worst. Hope there's a Mozilla tech out there who knows the software in and out who can advise on programming out this terribly broken feature.

Firefox won't open I get a "Mozilla crash reporter" message instead.

I bought a new computer and downloaded Firefox. I had brought my settings over with Easy Transfer and everything worked a few times. Now when I try to open FF it immediately shuts down and gives me an crash reporter message. It doesn't actually open up it just goes directly to the crash reporter message. I've done that a few times. I uninstalled the program and then did a new download a few times and it's still happening. Please help. I've never gotten a response from m numerous crash messages I've sent in and I've posted on this forum and then can't find it. I feel like I've fallen through the FF black hole. Do I exist??

If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx). 
You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page. 
You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, just like you open a website.

Same thing happens when i click restart.
No difference when i run it in Safe mode. And it won't let me create a new profile either. Is there anyway else i can extract my bookmarks? This is driving me crazy!

Did the crash reporter send any crash reports?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" 
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

After updating yesterday, Firefox will not open. I repeatedly get the Mozilla Crash Reporter. Maybe you did't understand my previous statement. There are no crashes in FF 3.6, There is no previous evidence FF 14 was ever here, I completely uninstalled all trace of Firefox, no app data, no preferences, no cache. I will upgrade to FF14 so I can send IDs,

The crash report always appears whenever I start up my PC and open Firefox, it does not appear when I close Firefox.

Everytime I start up my PC and open Firefox, the crash report will appear. The crash report does not appear subsequently, it only appears when I first open Firefox. I do not seem to have problems when using Firefox otherwise, though I do get new Firefox windows opening and showing me spam.

Norton's Intrusion prevention system is causing the crash. You could try updating Norton. If that doesn't work you could try to disable Norton Intrusion prevention

I keep getting false Mozilla Crash Reporter messages. I can just close them and continue on. When I get that message I can't open another Firefox window until I close that message. Can someone please help me?

Installed update to different program - Foxfire 5 closed - won't reopen.-Get Mozilla Crash Report-uninstalled-reinstalled twice-still get same error msg.

FireFox 5 was working fine. Got a message about one of my other programs had an update available. I installed the update and it needed to shutdown the system to take effect. I clicked OK. The system shut down and restarted and a Mozilla Crash Reporter message came up when it tried to reload FireFox. I've tried totally uninstalling FireFox (twice) and re installing it but I still get the same error message when I try to start the program.
Don't know what else I can do???

Google ATI Firefox crash. You'll see ATI video cards have multiple problems with Firefox and also internet videos. Also, note the dates these problems occurred - many are 2011...

Usually doesn't immediately crash, although that happens also. Usually hangs, then crashes.
Addons are WHY I use Firefox when it works. I am NOT on the bleeding edge any longer. I could go back to boring, boring, Chrome.
