Also, I tried to download the latest ITunes. It put an Icon on my desktop but won't let me open it or run it.

In general, you don't need drivers for camcorders on Macs, and the .exe file you downloaded is a Windows program, which won't run on a Mac unless you also have Windows installed.
It would help a lot if you tell us the exact model camcorder you are using, and what application you want to use it with.
Regarding iTunes, the latest version is iTunes 11. You need to have OS X 10.6.8 or later to install iTunes 11. Your profile says you have OS X 10.4.11, which is a much older version of OS X, so you won't be able to install iTunes 11. (Here are the iTunes 11 specs.)

When I try to open firefox I get the error message "A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time," I don't have any firefox things running.

I had the problem of firefox just not starting at all before, so I deleted my profile. Now I just get the message "A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time." But I checked my activity monitor and there are no processes operating under firefox, what do I do?

Can't update. Message says I don't have all permissions, yet have admin rights for imac running 10.5.8 & checked preference, security settings.

Trying to update. When I drag ff icon to apps folder message says replace or stop. Answer replace, then message says can't complete as I don't have permissions. I have full admin rights for imac running 10.5.8. I've reviewed preferences & security settings, FF is set to accept all incoming connections. Not sure what else to check.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

So I recently bought a desktop with Windows 8 on it (loving it so far!) and I used Easy Transfer/an external hardrive to get my files from my laptop (which runs windows 7) onto here, but now all the music, pictures, etc. I can not access, not even view/hear
because it seems I don't have the proper permissions. Help please?

Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

When you get through to the final screen:

Itunes won't open...says I don't have Quicktime. Does open at work though.

When at home, I try to open itunes and it gives me the following error ""Quicktime is required to run itunes. Please uninstall itunes then install itunes again."
And it won't open.
However, I take my same computer to my office, and itunes opens fine. Anybody know why?

I can't open iTunes, dialogue says I need QuickTime 7.5.5, but when I download the upgrade it won't install over my QuickTime Pro 7.2.1. How do I upgrade QT so it'll be compatible with my iTunes?

Excellent thanks. I've got iTunes working now, after downloading the latest version of iTunes by clicking Software Update from the Apple menu. And I downloaded QuickTime 7.7 from the links you recommended, BDA. For some reason I'd been unable to locate the latest QT for Leopard no matter how hard I tried—it was probably staring me in the face all the while.
