I can't open My Documents. My mac says I don't have the permissions
I am running mavericks on a Imac early 2008.
But suddenly my documents were away out of my finder dock.
I founded my documents folder in user/(username)/documents.
The only problem is I can't open it. Its says I dont have the permissions for it.
Please help me I have importent conntent in my documents.

I was looking for the Permissions section which you have collapsed. Expand "Delen en bevoegdheden:" (Sharing & Permissions) and repost.
Anyway your Username should be in the list and be set to Read & Write. _spotlight set to Read only and everyone set to No Access.
If your username isn't in the list and or not set to Read & Write click the Lock icon, type in your Admin password, Add your Username to the list and or set the permissions to Read & Write for your Username.

I migrated my software/documents from another laptop so don't have the disk to reinstall. Please help! Can't open any Microsoft Office software, like Word (for 2008), and stuck in a loop?
Whenever I select Word Microsoft Setup Assistant appears, asks for feedback, then after selecting okay (both on saying yes or no to feedback) goes on to a registration page. When I click on this it says I've already registered so I just click okay, and then move on to a update page. After this, if I click on Word, the process repeats itself.
As I said, I don't have the disk to reinstall, and can't find the Office Settings to delete as many pages have suggested I should try. Safe Boot restarting also hasn't worked... Really stuck and need Word very soon for work.
If you can help, that would be great, and feel free to ask any questions about the situation as I'm not an expert here.

JackFirst, export your contact from iCloud.com and save them on your computer in a safe spot some where (like you desktop). Use this to help you do this: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3606
Next, on both of your devices, go to Settings > iCloud and turn on contacts and select Merge. Then turn off contacts and select 'Delete form my [device]' when prompted.
Now go back to iCloud.com and select a contact (yes they will all be messed up again) and select Command+A on a Mac or Control+A on a PC to select all of the contacts. Tap the delete key on your keyboard (or right click /control click a contact and select delete).
You iPhone, iPad and iCloud.com should not be empty for contacts.
Go back to Settings > iCloud on both devices and turn on contacts again (you should not see merge this time).
Next, go back to iCloud.com and import your contacts (those exported .vcards). You can either drag and drop them into the empty contacts list in your web browser, or you can use the gear icon to import.
You cleaned up contacts should import correctly into iCloud.com and sync to both of your devices.

DirkThis work around has always worked, it may make some changes to transitions but better that than be unable to open.
Export from version 6 as a PowerPoint, choose PowerPoint 2003 in the in advanced options.
Once you have the PowerPoint file open in Keynote. -

i have a new imac with imovie 11 however my everio hd camcorder will only work with imovie 8 or 9. i tried to download imovie 9 but my mac says i don't need the update. How can i download imovie 8 or 9 complete not the update?
I really appreciate all your help. Today I spent some time on the problem. First I purchased any video converter from the ap store and then I connected the camera to the mac with the original usb cable that came with the camera. I turned on the camera and selected backup on pc and the logo came up on my home page. I opened it and after several attempts i found the 3 video files that were on the camera. I then converted them from a tod file to mp4 and then transfered them to imovie. Now I have to figure out how to send the video to youtube or move it to an external hard drive which I have not been able to do. So far I am not too fond of imovie 11. If you could send me the download for imovie 6 I then could try that route. When talking to apple support yesterday about the problem they suggested to get Final Cut Express. How do I transfer music off my iphone onto itunes on a new mac. I don't have the laptop I originally synced my iphone up with any more, so how can I do this without it?

Would be much appreciated.The iphone is not a backup/storage device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.

I can't download anymore TV from itunes, says i don't have enough icloud storage. My storage says i have 5GB to use and 4.6GB are still free
The message shouldn't have anything to do with iCloud storage. You need the free space on the iPad itself, not in iCloud. You have to free up space on the iPad by deleting content. You can delete any movies, videos, apps, or whatever you want to delete in Settings>General>Usage>Storage.

Im trying to open a document but im getting a message that i have to launch adobe reader and accept user licensing agreement and then relaunch adobe reader I tried that and the same message keeps appearing. Help?
Unless there is a special function in Adobe Reader that you require then try opening the document with Preview. I don't have Adobe Reader installed on my computers and find Preview does all I require.

michelleYou may have an email file that cannot be played by QT. But then you did not provide the exact wording of the error message.
QT cannot open all types of files. You might try installing the QT plug-in Perian 1.2.3 that will enable QT to play many more types of files.
What exactly is the type of file you have that you cannot open with QT? You can try using a third-party player such as VLC Media Player 2.0.1 or MPlayerX 1.0.14.
