I can't open URL from an e-mail (clickable image)

Hi there,
i tried to make a e-Mail newsletter. My result looks very good on Outlook, Android, Thunderbird and Apple Mail.
On my e-mail there are an image with includes a link. In other e-mail clients (Outlook, mail, etc.) everything looks great.
But on my iPhone .. I try to "click" on that image and the link didn't open in safari. When I visit my newsletter in safari, everything works.
Why doesn't my iPhone or Mail open clickable images (URL)?

Anykind, excel, word, ppt, I received the e-mail with an attachment and I can't download

Did you happen to install anything else, or make any other changes to your system. I'm flummoxed how signing up for an online service could affect file associations. Can't Open Attachment from an e-mails

Hi,
I can't seem to open a PPT attachment from an e-mail. When I click on the attachment, I see a download indicator but there is no progress. It just doesn't download. Can someone please help?

Open URL from Java in a new browser tab

Hi OTN,
Surprisingly can't find the implimintation.
In an ADF managed bean I retrieve String url. I need to open a new browser tab with this url.
Found this thread Open a url in a new window in the backing bean which shows using javascript "service.addScript(facesContext, "window.open(http://www.google.coml)");".
But in my case in doesn't work. The code is executed, but nothing happens. Maybe because the bean is called from a taskflow inline popup.

The goButton is in a table row. There are lots of rows so if I use EL for Destination attribute the URL would be retrieved for each of rows.
The method of URL retreiving is heavyweight operation which includes calling plsql functions, working with strings and others. So if I do it for each table row my application hungs and then I receive an exception of CPU usage.
That's why I switched to normal commandButton witch actionListener which retrieves url on click - only once. So I need to open URL from Java.

Uninstall SAP GUI 640, cause IE can not open URL in new tab.

We would like to update all SAP GUI from 640 to 710,
all users' GUI is 640 with patch 24.
We use SAP GUI installation server to deploy new version GUI.
in the test period, We find uninstall 640 GUI, will cause IE problem.
IE can't open URL in new tab(IE7) or window(IE6) after uninstall 640.
Any guys met some issue?
BTW, where I can find detail GUI uninstall log.

Is the file really a PDF? Where is it? Have you tried opening it from within Reader?

Open url from xchat in opera

I'd like to open urls from xchat in opera.
Under settings>advanced>url handler:

xchat has tcl as an optional dep, so I installed that.
This is in xfce4 and I have set opera as the preferred browser.

Can't open files from iCloud Drive on Mac

Hi,
Can't open file from iCloud Drive on my MacBook Air (OS X 10.10.1).
I created new file (in Numbers for example). Then Numbers->File->Open->iCloud Drive->my_file.numbers and it says "Can't open file my_file.numbers".
I can preview the file by pressing Space, but openning from application and double-click on it doesn't work.
Files that were created earlear also not opened.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem? thanks.

After the iCloud authentication problem last night I changed all my passwords I wonder if there is an SMTP problem at me.com perhaps not reading the updated passwords?

Can't open nautilus from applications menu

I find that I can't open nautilus from applications menu any more.
In the terminal, it won't open nautilus when running 'nautilus' without specifying a location or --new-window option.
I've checked and tried to modify /usr/share/applications/org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop and /usr/share/applications/nautilus-classic.desktop, but it didn't work.
The values of Exec option in the two files are as follows:
/usr/share/applications/org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop: Exec=nautilus --new-window %U
/usr/share/applications/nautilus-classic.desktop: Exec=nautilus --no-default-window --force-desktop
Also, I have tried to reinstall nautilus. I didn't work, either.
Any one can help?

Sounds like the nautilus-classic.desktop could be getting launched during gnome-session startup, which should happen in both of the cases above.
According to my testing, starting nautilus with 'nautilus --no-default-window --force-desktop' causes the exact behavior you're describing.
I'm using standard gnome without desktop icons, and I don't have any issues with nautilus, so disabling them would probably help, although that could be a drag if you really want desktop icons.
I still don't understand why the org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop wouldn't work though, since it has the --new-window flag. Apparently you can't even launch a new window via the right click menu item.
This could happen if gnome-shell recognizes the nautilus-classic.desktop as nautilus, and starts using it's .desktop file instead when you try to launch a new window.
If so you could probably fix this from the .desktop file somehow. I might be able to look into it later..

Disabling desktop icons makes it work.

Try using this option:
IE7 -> Internet options->General-> Tabs Settings (button)-> When a popup-encountered option -> Select "Always open pop-up in new tab".
Hope it should solve the problem.

Here is what I am seeing on my Android device - at the top, a few options like History > Top Sites> Bookmarks>Reading List. Then, the search/address bar, then to the right of that, a square with the number "1" inside it, then 3 dots that, when chosen, give you the following options:
New Tab
New Private Tab
Request Desktop Site
Tools
Settings
Any thoughts on how I specifically sync my Desktop open tabs to my Android device so I can then see all my desktop open tabs on my phone?
