I can't play my bought iTunes songs!

My problem is simple: every time I try to play a song I've purchased on iTunes MS, iTunes crashes... Does anyone here have the same problem?

Hey,
when I try to listen to an itunes song I just bought, meaning when i click on the song, a sign appears saying my "macbook is not activated to play this song".
If I want to activate my macbook I should fill in apple ID and passowrd.
So I do so.
The sign that appears then says: your computer already is activated.
HUH????
Everytime the same funny story.

I followed ALL these steps, including the one where I had to log in to my admin account, and it still asks me to please activate my mac everytime when I want to listen to the song. But my mac IS ACTIVATED. don't get it
Another weird thing happened when I logged in my admin account: now some how a third account on my computer has been created: a "Guest User" account. Huh? Can I delete that one. dont need it.

And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :
But that will potentially tie that computer to that account for 90 days : Manage your associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support
Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ?

Unfortunately the Netgear DG834N router is rubbish with Macbook Pro's. I've had a few netgear routers, which were all good with my mac, which is why I bought the 'N' series one as an upgrade to the 'G' version, but basically it crashes my Mac constantly. I get the fade up grey screen forcing my to hard power off my book. everything freezes. It plain just doesn't work. wireless 'N' is still just in draft form and the difference between the Netgear and Mac version on the macbook pro just clash. Netgear haven't updated the firmware on the router since last year, so hopefully the will soon, but I've just gone back to my old 'G' version, and stuck the DG834N on ebay. I tried all the configs, with and with out security and no luck, it always disconnected, froze and crashed.

Sorry, i did not say that i need to go out further than 1 week. This is for a church Bell Tower Music System. So we don't want to have to re program the music every week. We are looking for more of a Calender App that will play iTunes Songs for alarms...different songs, on different days. IDEAS ANYONE ???

What actually happens when you open it?
What app are you trying to play the files inside? Try iTunes.
I assume these files have DRM from the iTunes store. The Mac needs to be authorized to play them, open iTunes & select Authorize in the store menu, then sign in with the Apple ID that purchased the files.
Select the iTem in iTunes & get info on it (from the File menu) & you can see the account name that it belongs to.

Should be able to go into your sound preferences and choose your output device, you can also try downloading Airfoil and try that, it's a pretty cool app.

Can't get iPhoto to play an authorized iTunes song

I am making a slideshow to ultimately play in iDVD. Right now I'm making the slideshow in iPhoto and it won't play a Tim McGraw song that I purchased with this machine on iTunes. It says my computer is unauthorized and would I like iTunes to open and let me authorize it. I say okay and follow the directions to authorize and I indeed get a message that the authorization was successful. However when trying to get it to play following I am again told that my computer is unauthorized to play this song. I've done it several times with it always saying it was successful. I've rebooted the computer. I even bought the song again, even when it stated that I had already purchased this song from iTunes. Any suggestions?

This is so frustrating. For the last year it's been pretty much 100% of the time when trying to make a slideshow for a DVD I had a problem. Lots and lots of my motion themes won't work if I want to loop the slideshow. That problem took lots of time and ruined discs to figure out what the problem was. Now I'm wanting to use a brand new song purchased from iTunes and can't. I'm on the verge of quiting Apple products. Don't get me wrong, I love them when they work but for the last year it's been nothing but problems.
Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

I just bought a .99 cent iTunes song and when I right click on the song in iTunes it tells me that "This song cannot be made into a ringtone" "This ensemble can no longer be made into a ringtone"
Anyone know or had this problem before? I only bought this song for a ringtone and now I can't use it.

You can make a ring-tone using Garageband out of your own music library. It's very simple. See the link I posted. Of course you need to have Garageband to do this.

Have my songs in my ipod, but can't play them from iTunes

recently imorted songs from CDs are in my ipod and, of course, listed in the library of iTunes, but when I try to play them usin iTunes, I am required "locate it because the original file cannot be found", although I can play those songs from my iPod without any problem. It wasn't like that before, so I guess I have changed something in iTunes setting or something like that.
Any ideas?

You may have accidentally moved your iTunes Music Folder. Do a search on your computer and when you locate it, put it back in My Documents>My Music>iTunes. If you don't keep your music in the iTunes folder but some other then you need to locate that one and put it back to it's original position.

When I try to play music from itunes I get an error that says: The song 'X' could not be used because the original file could not be found. When given the option, I can look up the song and open the file. Why isn't itunes opening it automatically?

I just updated to version 7, and many of the songs I downloaded previously now have an exclamation point next to the checkbox. What does this mean? When I click on one of the songs to play it, it states the song cannot be used because the original file cannot be found. Would you like to locate it? When I type in the name of the song, I don't get anything. Can you please help?

Can someone help with my itunes song skipping problem?

I just got a new laptop and transfered all the songs successfully, downloaded the newest itunes and bought more songs from the itunes store and two days later, my songs started skipping. They aren't skipping as bad as i've read on the messages boards of other people, maybe one small skip in various songs.
But...
Once I plug in my ipod to the usb port, will the skipping songs transfer onto my ipod and start making them skip as well? I checked my ipod and all the songs are ok, but I haven't attached my ipod since the songs started skipping.
Oh yeah...I've set Quicktime to safemode, I've read on these boards about switching to safemode...but nothing changed.
What do you guys think?

Unless the problem is with the songs themselves, moving the songs to your iPod will not make them skip there. Before you sync the files in question you should play them with another medium (ie. "Windows Media Player"). This will help you pinpoint where the problem is.
