I can't play videos and have followed all advice I've seen

I can see I'm not the only one as it's mentioned on the forums a few times, but I can't play videos on Itunes or Quicktime anymore. I've been through each step mentioned by various people one by one and it's still not working - please can someone help? I've just bought a lead that enables me to watch my computer on my TV screen and downloaded a whole heap of films, but the only place I can watch them is on my phone!

When you run the uninstaller, it will uninstall all Flash Player versions.
If you want to revert to an older version after that, get it from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html

One of the following steps should help.
1. Install Adobe Flash Player.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Enable Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Web Content:
    Click in the box for "Enable Plug-ins".
3. Check whether you are currently in YouTube HTML 5 trial.
     http://www.youtube.com/html5
    At the bottom left of the page uncheck the box for
   "You are currently in the HTML5 trial".
4. Reset Safari.
    Click Safari in the menu bar.
    From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
    Uncheck the boxes next to all items.
    Check the box next to "Remove all website data".
    Click "Reset".
5. Turn off Extensions/Plug-ins if any that may interfere with Flash working properly.
    Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Use iTunes to update it. Download the latest version and install it. Once it is plugged in, it will ask if you want to update your iPhone to iOS 7. If that does not work then click restore.

I've tried a lot of the stuff mentioned at that link and elsewhere, modifying host files etc. trying to downgrade my iPhone 4 back to 5.1.1 no luck , apple has locked up 5.1.1 for my phone and iPad . one post said I'm "stuck with iOS 6" darn I should have been more careful. I have the 5.1.1 Ispw on my MacBook its a permissions thing I don't understand. Why can I download Gmail to my mac's mail - but I can not send? I have followed all instructions I can find but it still won't send. Any thoughts?

I have a strong desire to use the native apps on my Mac for mail and calendar - but my new position is using Gmail.
I can send mail and calendar works fine - but I can not send mail. I have followed all the directions and still can't see to get it to work.
Is there a step I am missing? Has anyone else successfully tackled this issue?

Are there any error messages to give us a clue?
There is no 'issue', millions of people use Gmail with a Mac, they send mail so the 'issue' is with your machine so we'll concentrate on that. Post the SMTP settings that are in use for this account, post the authentication method as well, tell me whether you have activated Google's '2 Factor' authentication method if you have.

Can't play videos and can't open Xbox games apps o...

I have a Nokia lumia 800 and for some reason it won't let me play videos, whether it be my own or YouTube. It also won't let me open my Xbox games app and I have no idea as to why or how to fix it, can anyone help?

I have a related problem: when I registered my Nokia Lumia 520 in Denmark, I also set my location on Xbox.com to Denmark. However, every time I tap the tile for office 365 I get shunted to a US registration site, and my location is listed as US! I have tried several times to reset my location, both on the Xbox.com site from a PC, and from my phone, but the same error happens every time...and I still don't have access to office 365!

Regarding your concern, are you getting any error message everytime you try playing a video? Also, when playing a YouTube video, what connection are you using? Is the phone connected to a WiFi or it's using the Network Data services? If you are using Data, try connecting the phone to WiFi and see if it fix the problem.

A lot of songs in my library have an excalmation point to the left of the song. This means the song cannot be located for syncronizing even though they can be played. I have deleted all of them and started over but the problem still exists.

I have gone so far as deleting every song and then importing them. Same problem. This is not just a few songs but at one time was in the hundreds.
Has anyone experience this?

The exclamation point indicates the media is not where iTunes expects it to be.

I purchased a 16gb ipod touch 1 gen and it wont restore or show the battery chaging icon. It shows the symbol of usb cable and what appears to be an itunes symbol without the itunes words being displayed. Upon trying to restore I have gotten error codes 1603 & 1604. I referred to the apple website for assistance and followed the steps to the letter with no results. So what else should I try or could I try because I have has no such luch thus far? I have held the home button and power button I tried to enter DFU mode but unsuccessful due to the screen boots with apple logo then immediately goes to the itunes screen and no further only when connected. Will not power on without usb connection have charged battery to see if it was the issue and no battery bar locator displays with or without being connected to PC.

So you did all this:
Error 1603: If you receive this error and the iOS device is not automatically placed into recovery mode, it may be necessary to do so manually. Refer to iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to restore for steps on placing iPhone into forced recovery mode. Also, remove the IPSW and attempt to restore again. If you do not want to remove the IPSW in the original user, try restoring in a new administrator user.
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Actually, i figured part of it out. When I'm playing itunes to my Apple Tv and Airport Express stations around the house, then turn on the mirroring, the itunes volume bar goes all the way to zero. I can bring it back up manually, and it will play on Apple TV, but it won't broadcast to multiple Airport Express speakers, the way it was doing before I turned on mirroring. It seems that mirroring turns off the airport express stations.

I did find an error log related to the error code and tried all suggestions on the list of recommendations, still no luck
I definitely am running OS X10.5.8 (hopefully will be updating later on this month)
I tried several brand new discs from the same box, still no luck.
My last option is to go out and try a different brand, guess I'll go with Verbatim this time but I think I'll poke around some more before buying 20 more new discs.

So as i say can't watch video and play games that require flash player, they keep asking me to install flashplayer... i did everything i read in the forums, unistall it, clean the memory, reinstall it, disabe active x etc... but still have the problem.
More specific about my problem is that: let's say that i'm trying to look at you tutorial video under thi forum Re: How do I fix Windows permission problems with Flash Player? i'm just seeing a black screen. So I'm able to guess where is the play button so when i push on that place, i can hear the sound of that video. Second step guessing where is the enlarge button, and when the screen is enlarged, magic i can see and hear the video.... So you figure that it's impossible to use my computer like that and guess right all the time, so....
Second fact, it seems that bug happened after an update (windows or explorer) and i even talk with a microsott tech who was not able to resolve it... But if i'm undoning the update and go back to a prior image, i have no problems with flash player anymore... it' been moths that i'm delaying my updates cause i cannot find any solutions.... So Please please please, help me .... don't know what's the problem is and i'm not a pro, don't know what to do. (Excuse my english it's my second language)

The first thing I'd try is updating your video driver.
Windows: how do I update the device driver for my video/display adapter?
If you still have problems and since you're using Windows 7 x64, please check to see if you have the following Windows update installed:
KB2670838 – Platform Update for Windows 7 x64
If so, please uninstall it and try Flash Player out again.
