I can't print to my HP MF device from my IPad.

I can't print from my IPad to my LaserJEtM1217nfwMFP. I have tried all the troubleshooting techniques including unplugging and replugging everything, and uninstalling and reinstalling the software. I have HPePrint, but it just shows "No Printers found" and refuses to locate any when I refresh. I also tried updating through the actual menu of the device, but the settings I was instructed to find were Network Config - Wireless Menu - Wireless Direct and my device did not have the "Wireless direct" option. I don't know what else to do and am very frustrated!!

mombam, the first step towards resolving this issue is to be sure that both the printer and the iPad have the same SSID (network name). If one is connected to "NetworkName" and the other "NetworkName - Guest" they will not be able to communicate. As an additional piece of information, what is the make and model of your router?
Beyond that I would recommend reconnecting your printer and router to the wireless network and performing a hard reset on all devices afterward. In this order press the power and home button on the iPad until it shuts off, then unplug the printer from the back and the wall, and unplug the router for ten seconds. Then plug and power everything on in the reverse order.
Check for your printer after completing those steps and let me know what happens.
Have a great day!

Can I print in just black and white from my iPad to an hp5510 photos mart printer?
It seems ePrint is no longer available and now forced to use HP Connect. I am not seeing the option to print in black and white. Printing email messages in color is a waste of ink. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I was using ePrint however that is auto-directing me to HPConnected and I no longer have the option to change the printing options to Black and White or Color. This is a recent change for me.

    Hi,
Yes, you have to use HP Connected now. Do you use AirPrint or ePrint ? ePrint allows you to select Color or Grayscale under Color mode (note: Grayscale ALSO uses color inks).

Blac and white only from iPad to hp printer

    Hi Tigmay,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you would like to print black and white from your iPad to your Photosmart 5510 printer.
AirPrint doesn't support many print settings, such as grayscale and black only but don't worry there is a way it can be accomplished.  If you download the HP ePrint Mobile app to your iPad one of your print settings allows you to choose between color and grayscale and if the printer supports it, black only.  I have included a screen shot from my iPad of the HP ePrint app that shows the setting.  The printer I had chosen (I don't have any of the Photosmart 5510 series printers) had the option of black only.  I've also included the HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ document for your reference.

  • Can I print to a canon ir c3220 from an iPad? If so, how?

I'm a newbie to the iPad and a bit of a Luddite when it comes to tech... I have a canon ir c3220 at home and want to print to it. The printer does not have wireless, it connects to a wireless router/modem via cable. all other computers print ok.

iOS devices can only print directly to AirPrint printers. All AirPrint printers are wireless but not all wireless printers are capable of using AirPrint.
To print directly from an iPad / iPhone you will need an AirPrint - enabled printer or another device to act as a print server. That can be a Mac running handyPrint (donation - supported). The Mac must be "on" but may be asleep for them to work. Equivalent PC options may exist but you're on your own finding them.
You can also buy this standalone print server:
    http://www.lantronix.com/it-management/xprintserver/xprintserver.html
These options enable you to use any printer available to your network, even older ones that may predate AirPrint by decades.
Otherwise you will need to buy an AirPrint printer or multifunction device.

  • Can you print to a lexmark interpret s405 from an ipad

Can you print from an ipad to a Lexmark Interpret S405?

iOS devices print using the AirPrint protocol. Your printer must support AirPrint. Check the list to see if your printer is shown to support AirPrint. Just because the printer is a Wi-Fi printer does not mean it supports AirPrint.

I've never used Print Booklet or your printer, but some things are determined by the printer and printer software, rather than the program from which you are printing. You might want to see if Xerox's website has any info also.

  • Can't print web pages or e-mail from Firefox after update

Since the last update, to 7.0.1, I can't print web pages or e-mail from my Yahoo! account. The computer says it can't communicate with the printer. I can print from Internet Explorer, Word, and Adobe Acrobat so I don't know why the computer is not communicating with the printer using Firefox. I am still running Windows XP--does this version of Firefox requires a newer version of Windows?

Try the '''''reset''''' described here: <br />

  • HT204003 how can i print a boarding pass image file from passbook?

how can i print a boarding pass image file from passbook?

I do not believe that Passbook supports printing. You can email, but not print. Then again I'm not sure what it actually emails, if that is a graphic of the card or what. I'm going to try it with my Starbuck's card, but there is no setting for printing within Passbook.
EDIT: Actually it sends the email as an attachment for a Passbook card file, that cannot be handled by my computer. Hope that answers your question.

  • My Office Print Pro 8600 Plus will not print pdf files sent to it from an iPad using ePrint.

My Office Print Pro 8600 Plus will not print pdf files sent to it from an iPad using ePrint.  I just get an error message when I go to the  HP Eprint centre.  It does print the cover e-mail but nothing else.  The attachment is not secure as far as I can see.  I have tried sending an attachment from my Mac and that worked fine.

    Hello krnkln3.
Are you trying to send the PDF as an attachment in an e-mail sent to the ePrint e-mail address of the printer or are you trying to print using the ePrint app?
Try sending the same PDF document to the printer's ePrint e-mail address and let us know if that works. If this works but using the ePrint app is not working, maybe the ePrint app is not working fine with this PDF document (it could be due to it's size or something else). Remember that you can always use the e-mail ePrint address of the printer to send PDF documents as the processing is happening at the HP servers and not in your iPad as when you try to send it using the ePrint app.
    Cheers!

  • Can I access my husband's iTunes acct. from my iPad?  I have his permission & pass code.  We want to keep all music in one place & family accessible.

Can I access my husband's iTunes acct. from my iPad?  i have his permission & pass code.  We want to keep all music in one place & family accessible.

If you log into his account and download some of his past purchases on your iPad then you risk tying your iPad to his account for 90 days : iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
But it looks like that might change when iOS 8 is released in the Autumn (no date has been announced yet) : http://www.apple.com/ios/ios8/family-sharing/
If you have his content in your computer's iTunes library then you could sync it from there instead of risking the 90 days association on your iPad. If you don't then you could copy it from his computer and then sync it to your iPad e.g. copy his music to a flash drive and then add it to your library via File > Add To Library

  • How can I move my Verizon e-mail accessed from my iPAD to folders?

How can I move my Verizon e-mail accessed from my iPAD to folders?

If your Verizon account is an IMAP account you can create folders on the iPad via the Edit button when you are in the account. If you see an edit button in the window where your inbox, draft folder, sent folder and trash folder appear in that account - tap on it and an Add Mailbox button will pop up at the bottom of the window. If there is no Edit button there - your account is not an IMAP account and you cannot create folders on the iPad in the mail app.

What happens when you try to play the actual film ? And have you tried deleting them and (assuming that they're still in the store) redownloading them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page - or going into Edit > Preferences and on the Store tab ticking the 'show iTunes in the Cloud purchases' tick box so that they show in the My Movies part of your library with a cloud icon against it for redownloading) ?
(You can't store films in the cloud, whether they will show there for redownloading depends upon what country that you are in - and if you move countries or if the rights-holder removes them then you also won't be able to redownload them. Ideally you'd be taking a backup copy of all of your downloads, and not relying on being able to redownload them in the future.)

  • I'm trying to update iPhoto 7.1.5 to current versions so I can get my photos onto iCloud to access from my iPad.  I can't seem to find an upgrade route that will work?  Any suggestions?

I'm trying to update iPhoto 7.1.5 on my old iMac (running  10.9.5) to current versions so I can get my photos onto iCloud to access from my iPad.  I can't seem to find an upgrade route that will work?  Any suggestions?

For Mavericks you need to upgrade to iPhoto 9.5.1.
You cannot buy this version from the AppStore, since the current version is iPhoto 9.6, and that requires Yosemite. The easiest route for you would be to upgrade to Yosemite. Then you can simply buy the newest version of iPhoto from the App Store and can use iCloud Photo Library (iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ), once it has been release for the Mac as well early next year.
If you want to stick with Mavericks, you'll have limited iCloud features, only the Photo Streams  (iCloud: iCloud Photo Sharing FAQ), but no iCloud Drive (iCloud Drive FAQ) and iCloud Photo Library.  And to upgrade iPhoto you need to buy an iPhoto '11 installer. It comes as part of iLife '11. You can try to buy a boxed version from Amazon or try to find it at eBay.  Once installed on Mavericks, download the iPhoto '11 updaters from the apple Support Downloads page.

  • How can I easily remove a group of photos from my iPad

how can I easily remove a group of photos from my iPad?

Iif the photos were synced to the iPad they can only be removed by connecting to iTunes on your computer, unselecting the photos folder that you synced to the iPad and then follow that with a sync.
IF the photos are in the camera roll, open the camera roll album, tap the as select button in the upper right corner, tap on each photo that you want to delete in order to select them and then tap the trash can icon.
