I can't put swf or html files with external files like spritesheets on my website.

Hello,
I developed a small test-application for my website. I did this using Flash Builder and Starling.
My website is created with Adobe Muse, if I try to place the SWF, it gives me an error. If I embed the .html file in an html-object, I get a blank screen.
Every other swf I created that has no external files such as spritesheets works fine, I can either place it or embed in html.
I have to say that I did not publish the website yet, as it is useless if I can't show my projects on it, but as I said the normal swf files work and the others not.
Does anyone have a suggestion or solution?
There must be one because there are a lot of Starling applications (e.g. Hungry Hero) that are embedded in a website.
Many thanks.

  • Flash CC does not publish swf and html files

    I'm having issues with Flash CC. When I go to publish my movie the status bar appeaers then quickly disappears and the html and swf files are not created. I'm also not able to export the movie as a quicktime or AVI file. Is there specific settings I must have to publish and export? Note: I am working with AS3 and tried to do a simpple test with a box moving left to right and I have the same problem.
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Are you sure the HTML and SWF are not currently in use? For example if you publish and preview it in a browser, it can lock those files because they're "in use". Then Flash cannot overwrite them. You'd need to close the browser or any Flash Players displaying them. If that still won't overwrite, delete the files and see if they're re-created.
    If no files are being created at all, gointo publish settings and set a path to export the SWF and HTML file to, don't leaving it at the default (same folder as FLA). Try various places in fact to test permissions.
    If you're on Windows you could try running Flash CC as Administrator to also get around any file writing permission issues. Right-click on the Flash icon and select Run as Administrator.
    I've only really encountered this when my SWF/HTML was in use or stuck in a process.

    can I convert an existing html file to muse file?

    Hi,
    As of now Muse does not offer this option to convert an existing HTML file into a Muse file.
    However, I would request you to post this as a feature request on Ideas for features in Adobe Muse

  • Can I put Keynote (or any iWork) with or without OS X on a flash-drive...

    Can I put Keynote (or any iWork) with or without OS X on a flash-drive and then plug and play that from a PC? I need to do a powerpoint style presentation and would like to use Keynote.
    Is it possible to bring everything I need on a flash-drive and make it work through a normal PC that the classroom provides to run these presentations on a big screen?
    Thanks!

    no. you can certainly not put just a few iwork apps on the flash drive. you can install the whole OS X on such a drive if it's big enough but it will absolutely not run on a PC. it will only run on a mac.

    in my experience all such classrooms allow you to plug in your own laptop and give a presentation from it. that would be the only way to run keynote there - by bringing your own mac laptop and plugging it in.
    Thanks!

    Yes you will need to NAT at some point to go from private to public address space. Here is a basic configuration if you are interested:
    interface F8
    ip nat inside
    interface G0
    ip nat outside
    ip access-list standard NAT
     permit 192.168.11.0 0.0.0.255
    ip nat inside source list NAT interface G0 overload

  • Manipulate the .swf's html file.

    I have an html file with a list of clickable files to open.
    When opened, that html file has my .swf embedded but it does
    not open full-screen, can I program it to? Also, is there code that
    will take away the IE menu bar, etc.
    I am created the html file when I publish the .swf file. I

    Hi kglad,
    Here's the link: http://ben-wang-van.bugs3.com/test.html
    This is the simple test. As you can see the video part (after the text) is empty and the flv file is actually the same location.
    From last experience, if I pubulish this video from PC and upload them and then will play fine.
    Any idea?
    Thanks a lot!!!

  • Link to SWF or HTML file from LMS?

    Hello,
    Can someone please tell me how I should link to the captivate file from LMS.  Is it better to link to the SWF file or the HTML file (or in this case, the HTML full-screen file)?
    I would also appreciate it if you could tell me why one file is better than the other to link to from LMS.
    Thank you,
    Justin

    If you are using an LMS for the purpose of tracking data about the user's interaction with your course, it will be either using SCORM or AICC standard to achieve that.  In both cases you need the HTM file that Captivate publishes because there is quite a lot of JavaScript involved in the API communication between the course modules and the LMS.  If you were only uploading the SWF file, the LMS wouldn't be able to "talk" to your course.
    In the case of SCORM, you upload your course as a zip file that contains everything it needs to operate and communicate with the LMS.  This zip file, and all the files it contains, is what the LMS expects.
    Having said this, there are some pseudo LMS systems out there that are really more akin to content management systems (CMS) since all they really do is deliver the files to the user and track the fact that they did so.  They don't read or record scoring coming back from the course too well.  In some cases these types of LMS will expect to get the course as a single file only (because they're more used to courses in the form of PDF files or PPT presentations) and so the SWF file is about the only one you CAN upload to them with any chance of delivering content.  I don't recommend you go for these types of systems.

  • How can i include css in html file when exported

    I want the CSS should be included in the html file when exported, how is that posable?

    Muse follows its own structure and keeps HTML, CSS and JS code in separate files as and when possible. If you want all that code to be merged into the HTML file itself, then there is no option to force Muse to do that. You can however, add your own CSS code into the HTML page by adding the CSS using either the Insert HTML option or using the HTML for <head> option in Page Properties > Metadata.
    Cheers,

  • How can i render a dynamic html file in jsp page

    Hi everybody,
    i am trying to render a dynamic html file in jsp page with the result of querying a database.
    The response of the query is a xml document. And i have a stylesheet to transfer it to html.
    How can i render the html in a jsp file?

    I am using below code for HTML files
    private var appFile:String="index.html";
    if (StageWebView.isSupported)
                        currentState = "normal";
                        webView.stage = stage;
                        webView.viewPort = new Rectangle( 10, 130, (stage.stageWidth)-20, 750 );
                        var fPath:String = new File(new File("app:/assets/html/aboutus/"+ appFile).nativePath).url;
                        webView.loadURL(fPath);
                        addEventListener(ViewNavigatorEvent.REMOVING,onRemove);
                    else {
                        currentState = "unsupported";
                        lblSupport.text = "StageWebView feature not supported";
    above code is working fine for me.

  • Published swf and html file viewing issues.

    Greetings,
    I design web banners and used to, with Flash 8, sedn my
    clients the published *.html and *.swf files to download onto their
    desktops so they could view the banner. With Flash CS3 this doesn't
    seem to be working the same way. It keeps giving them the window
    that says something about "ac_runactivescript.js". How come this
    never did this with Flash 8?

    click file/publish settings/formats, make sure the swf and html boxes are selected, and click the use default names button.  then click file/publish.  are the files in your directory with your fla?
    if not, create a new directory (that has no subdirectories), save your fla to that new directory using a new name (ie, click file/save as).  then click file/publish.  check the new directory for your 3 files.

  • I can't import my favorites from FF on Windows XP hard drive because it can't see the Favorites HTML file.

    My old computer was windows XP and I had a second, larger hard drive with Ubuntu on it. My computer crashed because of the motherboard. I had both hard drives moved to a newer computer (motherboard from 2006) and computer could not boot to windows. It's now booted to the Ubuntu drive and I can access my old info on the windows XP drive. I would like to import my favorites from FF on my windows XP drive to my FF on my Ubuntu drive but "import data from another browser" doesn't find anything because it's looking on my Ubunto drive not my windows XP drive. I tried creating an HTML document of my favorites on the windows drive but when trying to import the HTML file of my favorites on Ubuntu, it can't see it...but Dolphin can see the HTML file I created.

  • SWF and HTML files separate directories.

    I am generating HTML wrapper dynamically and it runs
    successfully (No JavaScript errors etc.). I right click on the page
    and it displays "Print,Settings, About Flash Player"
    Problem is that my SWF file which resides somewhere else on
    the HTTP server is not played at all. I get a blank page. The path
    to SWF was provided in HTML using an alias defined on the HTTP
    config file.
    If I run static HTML file in the same directory as SWF file
    the page is generated OK.
    Am I missing a crossdomain.xml file but everything is on the
    same domain (so ruled out).
    Please help.

    Hi zetokore, and welcome to the Community!
    You cannot separate the HTM and SWF files, so don't try.
    These files are designed to be symbiotic and must be accessed from
    the same location. Your "getaround" won't work because if you link
    to the SWF instead of theHTM, the output will be warped ... the HTM
    file contains sizing parameters for display of the SWF; so without
    proper sizing, the SWF will appear warped.
    In short - you'll have to live with it, because what you are
    seeing is Captivate's designed behavior.
    To emphasize the point: Design and record your Captivate
    projects at the size they are to be displayed to the end-user ...
    always! And - again always - link to the HTM file, never to the
    SWF.
