    You can't, once you redeem a card it's balance is transferred to your account, you can't transfer it back to the card.     What are you doing with your account (creating it, buying something, ...) and what are you seeing on the screen e.g. are you getting any error message ? The iTunes gift card field is optional - and as iTunes gift cards are not available in all countries, and they are country-specific (they can only be redeemed and used in their country of issue), you may not be able to fill it in anyway.

    If you mean in-app purchases, yes, in most cases a gift balance will work. Some apps do not accept gift balances, but I've not heard of a game where that is the case.
