I can't receive phone calls on my landline. Calls go straight to voicemail.

My telephone service is with Verizon. I also have internet FIOS with Verizon.
The calls I receive go straight to verizon voicemail. Others have called me and their calls went straight to voicemail. When I call my landline using Skype, the call goes to voicemail. Sometimes I will have a very short ring.
I called tech support I have not yet heard back from them.

Hey, I'm having the same problem. Getting through to tech support is an adventure, and then jumping through all the hoops for checking to see if there's a problem with your phone or the service within your house is great fun. Right now tech support is routing all the calls to our cell phone until they can get out to check the lines..9 days from now is the earliest they can get out-ridiculous! Since we don't have a cell phone plan we are paying by the minute for these calls.
I'll post if we resolve this problem. I wonder if it has to do with the fios upgrade that they are doing in the area, we haven't gotten it here yet.

Samsung S5 Issue (Can't Receive Phone Calls)

Hi everyone! I'm a bit new here but I just recently been having issues with my phone. After the recent update (the one that changed something from OC4 to OF2), my phone cant accept phone calls nor have the ability to make a phone call. My phone can still text (send and recieve) and connect to the internet (wifi & data). Since it was centered on calling issues, I wanted to check my call settings (specifically, I went to: Applications->Call->More Settings) but a popup appeared and displayed the following text: "Network or SIM card error". So far, I have tried a phone reset, checking my SIM card to ensure it's properly seated, and turning my phone off and on and to no avail. I don't know what else to do at this point. A friend of mine recommended me to visit a AT&T DSC but I wanted to consult here first and see if there's anything else I can do. Any help would be awesome. I do not think is a Samsung Issue, but an AT&T issue. I have an iphone 6 plus and I am having the smae problem. I cannot receive phone call suddently, but is lasting for over a day now. They are not offering any solution. They told me they had received a lot of tickets with the same issue all over different States, but no news of a solution. It seems the company is becoming way too big, maybe they cannot handle the volume. I do not know what it is, but it is anoying and I do not like it. I know it is not my iphone.

Hi everyone. I'm using an iPhone 4S and just opened verizon yesterday. However, I'm not able to receive phone calls or texts, but I'm able to call and text other people and access the web. I already reseted my network settings, triple checked that i'm not forwarding my calls anywhere, and my blocklist is empty. I also put the airplane mode on and off as some threads suggested but it didn't resolve it. It also can't be about bad signal because I live downtown in one of the biggest cities in this country and my signal is flawless.

To anyone facing the identical problem, the solution for me was that my previous operator (I transferred my number from T-mobile) had not fully given up their part on the deal. So I went to verizon store, they called T-mobile and got it sorted out. The situation was that any incoming call/text went to my sim-card which was still under t-mobile, and all outgoing calls/texts that i was making came through my verizon phone which was registered for this number. So, maybe this will solve it for you too if you have this problem.

It would probably have a different cell phone number than your iPhone 4s to make and receive cell phone calls.
If you have cellular phone call service for your iPad air and not just data service, one should be able to use the iPad as a large iPhone.
If your service provider for the callular radio in the iPad air is only providing data service, then you may not be able to make and receive calls.
iOS8 introduced a lot of connectivity between Apple devices. You can make and receive calls on wifi connected devices to your iPhone, including an apple computer with wifi running MAC OSX 10.10. You can also send text messages through your iPhone using other Apple devices. It is as if you are remotely controlling your iPhone over the wifi connection with other Apple products.

my phone is starting to act a little bit strange because I can send messages, chat through whatsapp and iMessage, and do other stuffs but one thing, I can't make a single phone call. It just seems to crash after I dial the number and press the "call" button. Plus I also can't receive phone calls. Can someone please help me?

Have you tried a reboot - hold both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, ignoring the red slider if that appears.
If that does not help, a visit to an Apple store genius bar to have the techs run some diagnostics may be needed.

Unable to make or receive phone calls; searching for service.

Last night my iPhone 4 started constantly searching for service. I would get full bars in 3G then go to searching, no service, then back to full bars. It does this constantly. My battery drained by 50% within an hour. Any call I try to make instantly drops; I can't receive phone calls (or voicemails) and I can't send or receive texts unless I'm in WiFi. Most of the current Apple Intel based computers are comparable in CPU speed. I don't think it is so much the model of laptop as it is the memory, and storage capacity of the machine. If you are going to use FCP on a regular basis, perhaps as a professional or semi-professional, then you should think about the maximum memory and a very large capacity internal disk drive. For instance, one hour of finished compressed video will take up about 1.5 to 2Gbytes of disk space. If you add up the raw footage and still imagery and audio, you'll use up your disk drive capacity real quick. So a hard disk on the order of 750Gbytes @ 7200rpms might be good for video editing. 5400RPMs might be slow to rendering times. Rendering a video might take up a lot of memory so more memory is better e.g. 8Gbytes.
As a rule of thumb, once you get to about 80% of your disk drive or memory you'll see degradation of performance.
You can check out macsales.com. THey have a menu system that will allow you to pick and choose from various alternatives. BTW, it's been said that although Macs are typically spec'd at a certain memory size, macsales.com found that Apple computers will actually support higher memory levels. That is, if 4Gbytes are spec'd, some machines support 6Gbytes. macsales.com will provide the guidance for you.
You might also consider buying an external disk e.g. 500Gbytes to carry around with you for back-up or transport to another machine.

I have activated all relevant options in FaceTime (either on the iPhone or Mac) but without success.

iPhone (5) > iOS 8.1
After trying a call via the iPhone in the "Message App" on my Mac - it says "iPhone and Mac must be in the same network"...
They definitely are... also I have logged in with the same Apple-ID's, etc.
Can anybody help?

Are there any settings which are fundamental on the iPhone, I have activated:
- iCloud Drive
- FaceTime (FaceTime and iPhone Mobile Calls activated)
The only strange thing - on Yosemite I can activate mobile phone number AND email in FaceTime whereas I can activate just my email in the FaceTime app on my iPhone...
