I can't recharge the battery

Hello
I have an 8100. I used to charge the battery from my PC USB or from the notebook USB. Then a couple of weeks ago when I plugged the USB cable I noticed that the red arrow didn't appear and the battery was not charging. I tried to use the normal power charger but it didn't work. I tried several times and finally the battery fully charged. After several days the battery was again near empty and again I had to try several times to charge it. Now it doesn't charge the battery even after more than 20 times. My suspect was a fault on the battery but when I tried on a brand new battery again, my device could not charge that battery.
The rest of the phone works perfectly. E.g. the sync with the computer, so the USB plug is clean, at least for the signals cables. When I plug the power in the mini-USB the screen is black and the an icon of a battery appears so and the led blinks, so the power actually arrives to the phone, but the battery doesn't charge.
thank you for your help

Try to reset the device:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

  • Do I need iTunes to recharge the battery of my iPod?

    I will be taking a 12 hrs flight on Friday and would like to watch iPod during the flight. However, I need to recharge my battery after 2 hours or do something else. I do have my company laptop (w/ USB port) with me but the laptop does not have iTunes (thks to company policy).
    Do I need iTunes to recharge the battery of my iPod? Or is the USB port is enough?

    you don't need itunes to charge it
    some laptops have low power usb ports, so it is worth checking before you travel to see how good a job of charging the laptop can do
    you can get external battery packs to go with the ipod, but this can be a pricey way of using it
    the owner of this page has many links to commercial options and also some diy versions... http://home.speedfactory.net/tcashin/ipodbattery.htm
    if your seat on the aircraft has power, there are also ipod cables available to use that

  • Recharging the battery in my Tungsten E2

    I am having difficulty with recharging the battery in my Tungsten E2.  It doesn't seem to hold a charge.  The longer I have it plugged in the weaker the battery seems to become.  I am afraid I will be losing all the information.  What do I need to do?

    It may not be a charging issue at all, but a battery that has reached the end of it's useful life!

  • Can you disable the battery or not allow it to charge even if it is pluged in?

    Can you disable the battery or charging function even if the laptop is pluged in to a power outlet? Is there any internal switch?

    Your battery will remain healthy - and discharge a bit - even when you're plugged into mains. If you're going to run primarily of mains, you should disconnect your MBP about every two weeks and allow it to drain down to about 30-40% and then allow it to recharge - this will keep the ions in the battery 'moving'.
    Most of the time you just needn't worry about the battery - just use it thoughtfully.

    How can I remove the battery from my iphone and ipad?

    The iPhone and iPad do not have user serviceable batteries. Battery replacement is handled by Apple. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar if battery replacement is required.

  • Can you display the battery strength in numbers on home screen like you would for the signal?

    I know you can view it at the option/status arena, but can you change the battery strength display at the home screen to numbers like you would on the signal?

    BatteryPercent = DeviceInfo.getBatteryLevel();
    LabelField Label1 = new  LabelField();
    Label1.setText(""+BatteryPercent+"%");
    you can use the above code to display battery percent

  • How can I use the battery and let it be perfectly healthy?

    Hello everybody!
    I love this forum because everyone is a great helpful person.. .. However, I'd like to ask you couple things about the MacBook battery...
    I know that now the battery has been improved, it leasts longer and it can support 1000 charging cycles.
    (Right now I'm performing the battery calibration)
    I'd like to know how can I use the battery and let it be perfectly healthy.
    For instance,
    1) If I connect the laptop to the MagSafe and let it charge, when should I remove the plug from the Mac and when should I put it in charge? I don't wanna continously waste cycles and let my battery die too soon (it's too young to die! :-D ) .. I use it mainly at home connected to the MagSafe: someone tell that even if you leave the MagSafe connected after the mac has been charged it stops charging (I can see this), and others say that is not a good thing to let the mac connected to the plug for a long time... with the old model I used to disconnect the battery from the mac so I didn't have these problems but with the new one it's a long procedure...
    2) I usually use to calibrate the battery once a month... Is it a good thing?
    Thanks!
    Andrea

    How to recharge the battery for I-phone4????????????

    Hello Marynoemi
    Have you tried reset all settings
    settings > general> reset > reset all settings
    if that doesn't work try following this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_AU
    you should probably also try another cable and charger if you have one  and if that doesn't work call apple.
