I can't recover my apps from iCloud

After I installed IOS 6 I wanted to get some of my apps back through iCloud. I went to the apps store>updates>purchased. The little circle spins and after a short time the screen goes blank for a second and then it returns to the home page. I have another iPhone 4 which this method worked great with the IOS 6. My phone is a 3GS, hers is the 4.
Has anyone else had this problem and then has anyone found a solution? I have even turned on my Genius but this didn't seem to work at all.

You could connect device to itunes and have it sync apps to it. See the Apps tab in itunes to choose which apps to sync.

Sorry but the only thing you can do with a backup to iCloud is restore the entire backup to an iOS device. It is an all or nothing thing. There isn't a way to get to them using a computer or to access just the backed up text messages. If you also backed up to iTunes, there are 3rd party utilities that will extract data from a backup made using iTunes.

Up front, I'd like to say that this question has nothing to do with storage space - rather, it's about deleting apps, for parenting reasons, the iCloud.
We wish to permanently remove select apps from our child's iPad. We cant seem to do this - while they are not active on the home screen, by going into itunes or the App Store, they can simply be downloaded again without our knowledge or consent.
Are there any provisions for parental controls over the iCloud?

By going to settings - general - restrictions - parental controls can be setup to limit the age appropriate content including apps. By hiding those apps on your computer you may be able to change their visibility as well, but I haven't had a chance to check it - try it yourself if you want.

A few months ago i played a game called clash of clans. and was using my brothers apple ID on my phone. few days after that i deleted it and had a new id on my phone. then recently i download it again. but it still showed my brothers record. i ve changed everything like game center, icloud, i tune store id but it just kept that record. it was shown downloaded from icloud. so how can i download the game and start a new account?

That means it was previously purchased and available to redownload from iTunes in the Cloud. This still downloads it from the App store. No apps (or other purchased media for that matter) are stored in your personal iCloud account. Even when you restore from an iCloud backup your media is simply redownloaded from the iTunes and App store.

Tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Calendars ON.
You may need to do that on both devices.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync the data.

I can't download my app from icloud

I tried to re-download my facebook messenger app after it updated because it would not let me open it (just like every other app that updates on my phone). when I tried, it said i needed to sign in and verify my billing information. I did so and it said "my purchase was declined". I don't understand what is going on because 1. it is a free app that I am just re-installing and 2. my card is perfectly valid. can someone please help me resolve this?

you possibly have an overdue balance. it could also be because your billing information is wrong. check those and if it isn't resolved, call apple

I wish I could have told my sister about this as she could not open my homepage back before my new iWeb site. She now can open my site without the yet in case denial window does appear = I thank you.
I think my iWeb site works as Noone has said otherwise from any platform etc...

I do agree that should not have to be a consideration for any users so i agree that it would be great if Apple could allow simplicity to run seemlessly.
I have had this problem since Homepage, and here is
what has worked for me. I send out the link, and
then for PC users I send the link with "<" after the address (without quotation
marks. e.g., <http://site.com>).
I also put a note that if that doesn't work, to just
copy and paste the link into a browser. With that I
have only had 1 person say they still can't open.
Everyone else gets it to work.
It's a lot to do and seems like a hassle, but you get
used to it.

If you don't see them on your purchased list, make sure that you are signed in with the Apple ID you used to purchase them in Settings>iTuens & App Store. Then redownload them by opening the App store app on your phone, tap Updates at the bottom, tap Purchased at the top, then tap Not on this iPhone at the top.

Answer is no.
If you want the iCloud backup you have to have n internet connection, thus WiFi.
The not working WiFi has happened with quite a number of users.
It is not exactly clear what is the cause but there are suggestions to clear it up:
Some people have had success by removing an apostrophe from the iPhone name. If your iPhone is called something like “John’s iPhone” then this might work. Go to Settings > General > About > Name and change it to something with no apostrophe.
Some people have reported success by putting the iPhone into Airplane mode and then going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings, but the problem may return.
You could also try going to Settings > Control Center and disable Access on Lock Screen then turn your iPhone off and on again.
Make sure that your router firmware is up to date.
Try backing up your iPhone and then restoring it. Check how to factory reset an iPhone for details.
If nothing is working for you, try contacting Apple or take your iPhone into an Apple Store.

You will be deleting their data from your iPhone, but not from their iCloud account.
If you used your Apple ID on your friend's device just to use the Find my iPhone app, you will not be signing out of his/her Apple ID, but remember to use the Find my iPhone app. You do not need to change anything in Settings application

No recycle bin. When selecting Delete for a photo in the Camera Roll, a big red Delete Photo button is provided along with Cancel. Selecting Delete Photos means deleted.

Deleting a photo from your iPhone's Camera Roll does not delete the photo from your Photo Stream.

Can I restore an individual app from iCloud backup? I need to reinstall a corrupt app on an existing iPod device and need to restore the associated data. App in question is Ultimate Password Manager. Can no longer unlock the safe and there doesn't seem to be a way to reset the master password.

You can only restore the whole device from backup, you can't restore individual items.
