I would take a look at these steps in the article named iTunes Store: Invalid, inactive, or illegible codes found here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1292
Make sure you've entered the code exactly as it appears on your card. If the code is illegible, try to enter the code as best as you can. Invalid code messages typically mean that the card activation number may have been mistyped. Read your code carefully. The following letters and numbers can look very similar:
The letter A and the letter H
The letter B and the number 8
The letter D and the number 0
The letter E and the number 3
The letter G and the number 6
The letter H and the letter W
The letter J and the number 1
The letter M and the letter N
The letter O and the number 0
The letter P and the letter F
The letter Q and the letter O
The letter Q and the number 0
The letter S and the number 5
The letter S and the number 8
The letter V and the letter U
The letter Z and the number 2
If you're still unable to redeem your code after verifying the characters in the code, you'll need to contact iTunes Store Support for help. You'll need to provide a digital image of the front and back of the gift card as well as the sales receipt for the purchase of the gift card.
Contacting iTunes Store Support
Go to the iTunes support page and select your iTunes country.
From the iTunes support page, choose Contact Support on the lower-left side of the page.
Follow the instructions to get iTunes Store support assistance.

If the card hasn't been activated properly then have you tried taking it back to the store that you bought it from and asking them to activate it properly ?
How have you tried to contact iTunes Support ? You should be able to do so via this page (you will probably need to give them images of the front and back of the card, and possibly its receipt) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes. If that page doesn't load then have you tried clearing your browser's cache/history and/or tried a different browser ? -

I can redeem my 45 dollar worth of itunes cards. My itunes store works fine but for some reason the redeem quick link isn't working. I have got the link to open but it shows me the text but even after iv entered the code the redeem button doesn't work. If their are any solutions I could realy use the help
I have a ITunes card which I bought from Costco as a 3pack. I used the first two okay. I just tried to redeem the third one but keep getting invalid even though I tried it various times using an assortment of letters or number that looked similar. I emailed the ITunes Support dept 3 times and to this day have not received a reply. I don't know what else to do because they don't have a phone number for their customer service. It seems they are ignoring my problem and do not want to credit me.

How can I verify credit for an itunes card that has already been redeemed? My Grandson and I both redeemed itune cards on our shared account about the same time. There isn't a credit balance after his purchase?
Have you checked the account's purchase history to see if anything could have used up the balance : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store - Apple Support ?
If there aren't any purchases then try logging out and back into the account (e.g. on your iPad tap on your id in Settings > Stores and then log back in) and see if a balance then shows on it. My account's balance shows at the top right of the store's page on my computer's iTunes, by clicking on my name towards the top right of the iTunes screen, and by logging in to view my account via the Store > View Account menu option. On my iPad devices it shows at the bottom of, for example, the Featured tab in the App Store app under my account id (or you can view your account via Settings > Stores and it should show on the screen that you are taken to) -
I purchased an iTunes card in the United States yesterday. I arrived home in the Bahamas today and tried to redeem the card but got an error message stating that I can only redeem the card in a United States store. How to redeem a card outside the US?
Sorry - iTunes cards can only be redeemed in the country in which they were purchased.

Just so you know, you can redeem iTunes cards without having to remove your credit card. If you want to remove the card, though, try redeeming the iTunes card and then go into your account information and see if the "none" option then appears in the Payment Method section. If not, go here:

If there are not funds available you will see a dialog asking you to edit your payment information. When there are not sufficient funds, the difference between the purchase amount and funds available is deducted from a credit or debit card account. If you don't want to have a credit or debit card then purchase another iTunes gift card. -
Trying to redeem iTunes card. Was told first time purchase needs security questions answered and don't remeber setting them up to start with and I have made several purchases before without answering questions. Getting no help from Apple support. How can I make new answers for new security questions.
If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Open the App Store and purchase. It will use your balance from your redeemed iTunes card. Redeemed cards work in iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store and iBookstore.
