I can't register my payment card for my Apple ID

My mother has purchased an iPad but Apple keeps declining her payment card. On contacting the bank she has been told that Apple have charged £48 but she has been unable to purchase anything through her iPad
Can anyone help?

What type of card is it that she is trying to use, credit or debit ? Debit cards are no longer accepted in all countries, not sure about here in the UK (but I don't think that they are).
For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) as on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. When she contacted her bank they confirmed that they weren't declining the card ? If the yaren't then she could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they know why it's being declined (but you might not be able to use a debit card) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management
The £48, each time that a card is added/changed on an account (or attempted to be added) a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on the iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

    Hi,
    In standard APP, it is not possible because if the payment is not posted and the vendor belongs to the proposal you already run,  you will hit an error and will not be able to generate any new proposal.
    You need to customize for this just like what we did in one of our clients where they can select the documents they want for the proposal and create another proposal for the other documents.

    i have similar concerns , when i enter the card number and the system picks it my next challenge becomes the security code. it always replys back that the security code enterd is not valid. i just do not know what to do

    Oh thank god i am not the only one with this problem. It started with me on Saturday (aug 28) and still, no solution.
    I live in the border with the USA so i’ve been using my itunes account with a USA debit card and then it started with that **** declined CC problem =S
    The funny thing is that i’ve been trying to change countries, setting my account to Mexico and it would still say that the CC are declined. Tried 2 USA cards and 2 Mexican cards, no results =S
    Wanna read something funny. I even tried to create a brand new account based in Mexico, with another email address and it still wouldn’t let me, tells me my cards are not valid……..the **** apple!!! i cannot update any app and i just got my iphone 4 on friday last week and i am dying to try new apps.

    I have just discovered this fact in the past two weeks when I needed to update the expiration date on a virtual credit card number which I have had registered on my iTunes account for years. Apple claims this is a long time policy but considering that I was able to keep using the same VAN for several years by updating the expiration date, I believe the implementation of the policy is recent.
    I spoke to two different Apple support people just now and they were apologetic and advised that I leave feedback about the issue at this site:

    The support manager told me that the reason for this policy is that it is easy for hackers to steal these virtual numbers and use them--which is ridiculous, because the whole point of the VAN is that it is tied to one vendor only once it is used, and if the vendor changes even one letter in the name when they put through the charge on the credit card account, the charge is refused (at least the way my credit card issuer handles VANs). With any other form of payment, Apple and I would still have a problem with unauthorized charges on the iTunes store and I would have an even bigger problem if the hacker stole my real credit card number and used it anywhere they pleased.
    I think this issue should be spread widely on tech sites and anyone who is having this problem should also be sure to leave feedback on the address above as it is supposedly taken very seriously. This is a step backward as far as I am concerned. I love Apple products and will figure out a different way to pay for my various iTunes subscriptions in the meantime but I am certainly not a happy camper right now.

    Go to Apple Menu > App Store > View my account > sign in and then edit the payment details with the new card details.  
    I am assuming that your card and supporting bank are in the same country as your residential (billing) address and that you are using the App Store of that country.

    Apple is of no help.  Their "Geniuses" told me that it is impossible for them sell one to me because Apple will not supply wireless cards or memory for previous generation computers.  That is totally absurd.  If I want to get a wireless card for my 2 year young computer I can't? I have to buy a brand new computer with one previously installed. Ridiculous!

    If you are referring to an iDevice, sign out of your new Apple ID and sign back in with your old one - they should all be there.

    You can leave the Payment terms field in the sales area data tab blank. and you can enter the payment terms at line item level while creating the sales order. By that you will achieve multiple payment terms for the same customer in the same sales order. but the invoice will be split by standard SAP based on the payment terms.
    Also difference between the "Payment Terms" field in Company code tab and the sales Area tab is.
    Company code tab payment terms are used only for the documents that are posted directly in FI module. for example credit and debit memos posted directly in FI and as a leading practice this should always be "payable Immidiately"
    Sales area Tab payment terms are the one which are copied on to the sales order header data which are valid for all the line items unless you specifically mention different payment terms at line item level.
